    Fantastic customization, Evan! You've become quite the Sling guy! Pretty soon they'll want you to move to S. Africa, but try to remain stateside for when I get my HW Sling! :)

    It's quite a nice setup. Love that panel and the fuel selector. I can see with every build you are getting better. Continuous improvement, I guess is the motto. Please keep on sharing your mods and any lesson learnt. You have already helped a lot of us builders 👍

    VERY nice panel! I like the simplicity of it. Nice & neat work, Evan.

    That’s good with the dimmer. Blue LED lights are so bright and destroy night vision. Looks like you can get those nice and dim. My Stec autopilot in my Comanche has a blue LED light that is barely noticeable in daylight. It’s like staring at the sun at night.

  • @gl7080
    @gl7080 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hello Evan, As always your suggestions improve the Sling Concept. About the dim of the blue leds maybe you must consider to always have a little power bypass so never the lights turn completely go off. At night you are now always knowing if one of the lighting still is on or off. Maybe to make it perfect consider a light sensor. If it's dark automatic dim and with sun bright the lights. Thank you and have a nice day. Greetings from The Netherlands.

    You are da man ! Impressive. Love your customizations. You need to brand the Slings you build, Sling TSI-EB.

    I like the control stick mods. I think they're probably more intuitive than the kit supplied ones and aesthetically more pleasing to the eye

    Evan, Which eyeball vents did you use in the back. I can’t find any that attach to a 1” scat tube. Did you use a 1-1/2” vent and adapt it? I’m almost to this point on my sling and I’m ready to order parts. Thanks, Rob

    Really nice. Two questions? Where is the switch for the boost pump, and how are you getting ground power. Did you install a port or direct connection to battery?

    • @EvanBrunye
      @EvanBrunye  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The boost pump is integrated with the fuel pump switches, automatically turns on with pump 1. What do you mean about ground power?

    • @michaell9811
      @michaell9811 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EvanBrunye OK thanks. Was wondering how you get ground power. Is there simply an opening on the side of the plane to plug into?

    • @EvanBrunye
      @EvanBrunye  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@michaell9811 oh haha I was reading it as if you were talking about the ground wire and also calling it power lol… the cowling is off this plane so it’s just got a charger connected to the battery while it’s all turned on. There’s an inspection door on the top cowling near the battery anyway, that’s how I charge my plane. Just reach through the door

    Single G3X? Would have been nice to have a second unit.

    • @EvanBrunye
      @EvanBrunye  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Different people have different needs. This builder flies for the airlines and uses his iPad heavily for flight planning, so wanted the iPad mount on a glovebox Instead of a second screen. ForeFlight actually does have several features that are not available on the g3x, so it makes more sense than it might seem. I agree though, the symmetry would be much better with a second screen!

    • @da20eclipse
      @da20eclipse 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Understood, it’s beautiful. You sir are a true craftsman. Can’t wait to see the finished product. I need a heater in my 2. It’s cold here also in the north east. I need to source one for my Sling 2.

    • @EJWash57
      @EJWash57 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@EvanBrunye Exactly the point. The symmetry of a second G3X weighs more on the aesthetics side than necessity. One of my airline pilot colleagues owns a later model C-206. Combo of glass and analog on the left side, and iPad running Fore Flight on the right.
