    Use the code “13246500@sfp” at checkout to get $40 off the SafePal X1.
    For all the other wallets on this list, use the code “CYBERSCRILLA” at checkout for a nice discount.

      @@cyberscrilla--- I'm totally new to crypto and not tech savvy, I'd like a cold storage wallet for self-custody that can connect to my laptop (USB-A) and tablet (USB-C), I don't want NFC or BT. Is it possible on Tangem to import a new wallet like a trust wallet where I already have my seed phrase?
    Or do I have to open this as a new wallet and transfer all my coins with transaction fees?

    • @cyberscrilla
      @cyberscrilla  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Yes you can import a seed phrase. However, importing a hot wallet like trust wallet defeats the purpose of using a cold wallet like Tangem as the seed phrase is already hot.
      Id personally create a new wallet using Tangem and transfer my crypto to it from Trust wallet.

      @@Kapo2785 no. That’s all misinformation . They’re referring to Ledger Recover which is an opt-in subscription based service that allows ledger to recover your keys if you lose them.

    Can you please explain..trezor used bip39 single seed and slip 39 multi seed but when generating the key with slip39 it generates a single key so later on you want to move to a new cold wallet it recognizes slip 39 with having a single seed not a multi seed that it is looking for now it’s not accepting it due to it’s looking for a multi seed wouldn’t this create a vendor lockouts and could pose a problem especially if trezor went out of business thanks

    • @cyberscrilla

      There other several software wallets that support SLIP39. And so does Kesytone. So no, it wouldn’t create a vendor lockout. But to your point, there are still many hardware wallets that don’t support SLIP39.

    If I got well, when creating a new wallet at Tangem, the seed phrases generation is processed by my phone? Is that secure?

    • @cyberscrilla
      @cyberscrilla  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The seed phrase is generated by your phone and displayed briefly so you can record it. It’s not stored anywhere. Yes, it’s safe

    • @cyberscrilla
      @cyberscrilla  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Not really. Trust wallet stores your seed phrase/private key in the app on your phone. That’s why it’s called a hot wallet.
      Tangem doesn’t store your seed phrase at all and stores your private key offline on the secure element chip in the card, thus it’s a cold wallet.
      And let’s be honest, regardless of which wallet you use, you should never be connecting it to a compromised device. That’s just common sense

    • @dielreis
      @dielreis 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@cyberscrilla You are right. But I think that seed phrase generation is a crucial step and it should be done completely offline. No one knows if the device is compromised until..... it is too late. Thanks.

    • @cyberscrilla
      @cyberscrilla  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @dielreis Fair. But facts remain.
      Tangem has sold over 1 million wallets over the last 7 years and not a single one has been compromised.
      However, brands like Ledger and Trezor, both which produce their seed phrase offline have been hacked for their seed phrase and PIN.
      There’s always more to security than meets the eye.

      @Radehx I can easily sell USB sticks and get affiliate commission.
      But the reality is, most people would rather use a cold wallet that’s compatible with multiple currencies and has numerous security features.
      But hey, you use what makes you happy :)

      @@cyberscrilla USB sticks are much cheaper, so less affiliate fees. Also, Exodus works on Tails. Sure some hardware wallets offer slightly better convenience, but at the cost of worse safety and control. Your video has the word "secure" in it, but then you peddle closed source custodial wallets...bit comical.

      I destroyed my Keystone 3 Pro with a hammer on purpose. I couldn't charge the battery past 9% or get the new firmware update unless the keystone had at least 20%. If I unplugged the device from the charger it would go completely dead. Upon reset, the device bricked making it a $120 paper weight. I was able to get 100% charge for 2 cycles. I couldn't get in touch with customer service to resolve the issue. For this reason alone I don't like wallets with batteries. This was my experience and I've read others have had the same problem. I will stick with Tangem.

    Credit card is not a hardware wallet is software wallet. It store online.

    • @cyberscrilla
      @cyberscrilla  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      There’s no credit card on this list?
      If you’re talking about Tangem, the private key is stored offline on the secure element chip inside the card.
      No private info is stored on the app.
      It’s a cold wallet.

      @cyberscrilla couldn't someone theoretically hack the app, and access seed phrases at the moment users use the app to access their wallet?

      I don't have a single cold wallet yet, I've been using a light wallet, as I've only been buying within one "ecosystem" but I want to diversify. I just can't pick a wallet

    • @cyberscrilla
      @cyberscrilla  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No. The seed phrase is completely erased after setup. And the private key doesn’t leave the card. It remains secure on the secure element chip. So no, even with malware on your phone, it wouldn’t be able to extract the private key.

      Just pick one. It’s was riskier to not have one.

    nfc more safe than bluetooth

    • @cyberscrilla
      @cyberscrilla  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      NFC is generally considered more secure for short-range transactions due to its limited range.
      Bluetooth, on the other hand, can operate over longer distances, which could potentially increase its vulnerability to certain types of attacks if not properly secured.
      However, both can be secure when implemented correctly with encryption and authentication measures.

      @@Rains-in How is it blind signing? The transaction details are displayed on your phone’s screen.
      Also, it’s not like a hot wallet. Hot wallet means your private key/seed phrase is stored on the software.
      Tangem’s private key is stored on the card in the secure element.
      Sure, the seed phrase is displayed on your phone’s screen temporarily while you record it, but it’s not stored in the software which is proven because the app is 100% open source.

    @cyberscrilla --- I'm totally new to crypto and not tech savvy, I'd like a cold storage wallet for self-custody that can connect to my laptop (USB-A) and tablet (USB-C)... I don't want NFC or BT. I'm interested in holding BTC, PEPE, and Pikamoon PIKA. Can crypto and NFT be held on same wallet? And maybe Pepellio and NON.
