Excellent videos. 👍 I just found your channel and have been basically binge-watching. I purchased a 3-card set of Tangem cards with your code, and hopefully Tangem will release their ring soon, as I'll also be buying one of those in order to have a wallet with me for small(er) expenditures, if/when needed. The rings look nice enough, but if the worst happened, I could see a criminal totally overlooking it, as it's not gold, silver, platinum, etc. It's looking like Tangem could _almost_ be called 'Disruptive Technology' within the space of crypto hardware wallets. Not really terribly different, but they've just made everything so easy, efficient and affordable. There's no battery to eventually, totally die or to need charging. No buttons to break. No screens to crack, and, I'm assuming, a small fraction of the electronic components inside. I have (2) Ledger Nano X's and a Nano S. For less that 25% of the cost of those devices (and I got an 'X' and the 'S' as a special package deal many years ago), I purchased the (3) Tangem cards, which are (obviously) more secure, will almost certainly last (much) longer, and are (I'll soon find out), probably easier and more efficient to use. Also, I thought it would be great having Bluetooth on the Nano X, but I've NEVER used it, not once. I think we're getting close to where crypto hardware wallets with a _secure element_ will just automatically be incorporated into cell. phones. If people wanna use it, great. If not, it won't be noticed. Phones are so expensive anyway the cost would be mostly negligible. I could see it basically being an embedded Tangem 'card' with the ability to use a third-party, Open Source, 'hot' wallet, if the user so desires, or maybe the big manufacturers, i.e. Samsung, Apple, LGE, etc. will even partner with Tangem. I guess the huge problem with that is criminals would assume many people would have crypto on their phones. However, most currently do mobile banking from their phones, so I don't guess that would be a big difference. It's an exciting time to be alive. I'm old. I was around long before cell. phones, personal computers, arcade/home video games, and much of what people now take for granted.
You’re right, Tangem is ahead of the game, really because they listen to their users/customers when other brands don’t. The ring will be awesome imo. To your point, I’m not exactly sure where the future of cold wallets is headed. Crypto in general is a pain in the ass to use. We need better systems in place to make it more user-friendly, so as these systems evolve, so will the wallets. Good stuff 👍
I have both. Tangem and keystone Both are brilliant. I love how easy tangem is to use. If you are ok with using QR codes then Keystone is the one to go for. Security of keystone is phenomenal, love the air gap. Keystone is the best hardware wallet by far for hodling. Tangem for everyday trading low amounts and frequent use
I love Tangem Wallet not only for its user friendliness but also for its level of security. I did a thorough analysis when I purchased the wallet and now I continue to follow company news to stay afloat. Tangem does everything to be as transparent as possible - eal6+, ip68, audits, etc.
@@maximilianoj2514 the app is 100% open source and available on GitHub for anyone to re create. And if you have a seed phrase, you can access your funds from any wallet. - Alex
I just purchased a Keystone 3 Pro and setting the standard seed phrase doesn't seem to be working properly. The words and numbers do not highlight as they do in the Shamir back up making it impossible to set a phrase. I prefer the Seed phrase over the Shamir backup, any idea on what might be happening there ? Also I'm noticing even with a 70% charge that it tends to go dead and I have to a restart Kind of crazy for a brand new device. Anybody else having this problem TIA for you input Thank you
I recently just updated my keystone 3 pro firmware and It died 60% install and I can’t get it to even cut back on at all smh still waiting to hear back from support
Great Video, I am interested in the Tangem wallet. But I don’t know what happens if one of my cards is stolen or gets lost? I would think I can set up the second card as a backup but how is the lost/stolen card secured from anyone using it or does it only work with the app on my phone?
On your recommendation I purchased the Keystone 3 Pro. For me it was a bit of a nightmare. I didn't have a USB to USB C cable so I had to buy one. I also had to buy a micro SD as the site said there was a problem with the USB update. The Keystone site is in dark mode and is difficult to read. Went through the setup process and then tried to see which additional wallet I should use. I could hardly see the writing on the screen as it was so small. Chose the first one Metamask to find it didn't support Bitcoin. Chose the next one only to find it wasn't supported in France. Eventually used Blue Wallet which wasn't easy to use. Eventually after several tries got it to work with the Keystone. The back and forth with the camera verifying doesn't inspire confidence. So I probably won't use it much. Went back to my tried and tested Bitfi which uses WiFi so is permanently air-gapped. Also Bitfi updates itself. I suspect the reason we never see 'wallet experts' using Bitfi is because the company doesn't offer freebies or kick-backs. As of this moment the Keystone has been charging over night and is still at 90%. I wanted something extra so now I shall try the Tangem 2.
I’m sorry it’s been a bad experience. The USB update worked fine for me. Using a completely air gapped/decentralized wallet isn’t for everyone. It’s super secure, but not as user friendly as say Tangem is. That said, Keystone is still working on making the 3 Pro better so feedback like this helps (I’ll send it straight to Keystone) As for Bitfi you might be right. But that’s not why I haven’t reviewed it. Honestly I’ve never heard of it until now. Also a wallet that uses Wifi is NOT air gapped. Hopefully, Keystone will continue to improve. - Alex
@@user-tj7xr6xd9z Maybe not the most user friendly wallet… but yes, it’s supports the most popular assets. Not everyone knows metamask is an Ethereum only wallet, so this person was confused why it didn’t support BTC. - Alex :)
Great video, many thanks! Have the 2 sets of 3 of the latest Tangem wallet and love it. It just works and is really easy to use!Have just set up a Keystone Pro 3 and was impressed with it. However it’s drawback… I was a bit disappointed and confused to find I have to use a hot wallet and not a dedicated wallet of it’s own. It raises many questions which remain unanswered, the biggest e.g. what if I want to send my crypto to a CEX like Binance for example. Does that mean I have to move it twice and double up on risk of loss and fees? For ETH and BTC this could end up being very expensive. Also how does this integrarle with Tax Software APIs like Koinly for example? More complicated as it needs to know all of the steps and not all wallets are supported? Probably?! Being a 25 year veteran software engineer in the banking industry I’m likely to find this easier than most. I’d say it seems like they may have rushed the software element out the door quickly to get to market. I will need to work out how it works. For this reason I haven’t used it yet and the jury is still out. For this reason, for me, for now it is Tangem all the way! 👍 Keystone is a great wallet though just a lot more complicated to use against the Tangem Wallet.
@@richardobrien4465 Thank you Richard! Tangem is excellent. As for keystone you don’t have to send anything twice. All the hot wallets do is allow you to manage your crypto. The private key & public addresses are still generated by keystone. You’re just using a hot wallet to initiate the transaction and the device to approve it. As for taxes, I haven’t used Koinly. But i use a similar software and as far as I know you just enter your wallets public address and the software scans it. So no different using the K3P. And no, there’s no sending anything twice. - Alex
To manage your crypto with the Keystone 3 Pro, you need a third-party hot wallet. For transferring crypto, let's take ETH as an example: 1. Set up a hot wallet supporting ETH, like MetaMask. 2. Connect your K3P wallet to MetaMask using the "connect to hardware wallet" button. 3. Copy the public address from the K3P MetaMask wallet. 4. Paste this address into the recipient spot when sending ETH from the exchange.
@@cyberscrillaAh man, I wish I realised this before ordering a 3 Pro. I passionately hate all these crypto wallets and all the ridiculous rooting around involved with them.
Thank you for the review! How is the responsiveness of the Keystone 3 Pro? Especially on the virtual keyboard? I'm thinking about changing my cold wallet. The one I'm using, when it comes to the keyboard it's not responsive and sometimes when you type a letter, it types another... and I don't have fat fingers. So, time to change. Thanks!

Im using ledger X for now....But is tangem better than ledger for security? should i get tangem or keystone.....im confused....I just got to know that there are some issues with ledger secruty...
Tangem is very secure. If you want the most user friendly wallets, choose Tangem. If you don’t mind a bit more complicated, super secure setup, go with Keystone. - Alex
I have a keystone and I am about to buy a Tangem because I don’t like using 3rd party wallets aside from blue wallet for bitcoin. I find metamask and OKX to not be straight forward apps, it’s possible I am just inept however.
I have the Tangem 2.0, but because the transactions are on my phone it's very slow. Takes forever, needs to be reloaded, so I just ordered the Keystone. I don't mind so much the price of it, due to it being my tool to manage a bit of money. I have Tangem, but we don't understand each other: I have lost transactions.
Sure. It works for storing crypto long term. It’s just a preference. Tangem is super easy to use, but doesn’t have a screen which some people don’t like security wise. Keystone is harder to use, but has its own screen.
You need to update the firmware and it will fix it. Follow these steps: Here's the complete step from our support team: To address this issue, we have developed firmware version 1.2.4 specifically crafted to rectify the charging quirk associated with the embedded system. We strongly recommend updating your device to the latest firmware to optimize its performance. Please follow the steps below for a smooth firmware update process: 1. Access Recovery Mode on your device: Connect to Your Computer: Connect your Keystone 3 Pro to your computer using the provided USB cable. Long-press the power button for 20 seconds until you enter Recovery Mode. For macOS Users: Look for a "No Name" USB drive icon on your desktop or find it in Finder under "Locations." 2. Download Firmware Package: Download the firmware package named "keystone3.bin" to your computer. Link: keyst.one/firmware 3. Transfer Firmware: Drag the downloaded firmware file 'keystone3.bin' into the USB drive, 'No Name' associated with your Keystone 3 Pro. (Note: Ensure the file name is 'keystone3.bin') Allow the transfer to complete. 4. Initiate Firmware Installation: Tap the "Reboot" button on your device once the transfer is finished. The new firmware will be installed automatically. Kindly be patient during this process. Once completed, your device will return to its normal status and update to version 1.2.4. For additional guidance, you can refer to Keystone’s video tutorial: photos.google.com/share/AF1QipPresFHqQIZF2e9KKmER9YmSLJ54quFjR_o-VhNeZAd16lMj9FUSD3pl3Yb0Dpu5g?key=SERuakYwZU1HazhUZzdFUGloZHVnbWxvYWNBV25n.
So after a whole day, & me writing this i pickup the Keystone 3 & again attempt for the 100th time to see if it boots and it does! However now I’m afraid it unpredictable. Anyways since this wallet doesn’t have a companion app what do I do to view the btc I sent to it? Ugh!!! Appreciate any feedback that will encourage me to continue using this wallet. Thank you very much.
I use multiple wallets. It depends on your skill level. Are you a beginner? Then use a beginner friendly wallet like Tangem. Are you intermediate? Maybe something with more security features like Cypherock would be better. Are you experienced looking for this most security features, then maybe Keystone is best for you. Always ensure the wallet you want supports the coins you wan to hold.
Hi there. Thanks for the nice video. I was wondering does tangem has all networks incorporated? I mean, BNB / DOT / SOL/ APTOS? If so, can I send those tokens directly? Do I need to have bnb / dot / SOL / APT in the tangem wallet for gas fees? Thanks.
It has all those you mentioned except for APTOS, along with 7,000 other tokens. You can send and receive tokens directly from the wallet with the tap of a button. However, any blockchain transaction regardless of the wallet you use requires you to have funds to pay for gas fees as this is a network fee (not a fee charged by the wallet). So if you want to send coins out of Tangem, you must have the corresponding coin to cover the associated gas fees.
I think one area that may be a concern to people is that you’re blind signing with the Tangem, since it has no display. I don’t think you mentioned this in your video, at least in the context of destination addresses for coin transfers, but perhaps I missed it.
@@Franz-jb1dg correct. But the argument is that you should only ever trust what’s displayed on your wallet device (not your phone or computer as it could potentially be altered)
Hey Alex, If you have a 12 word PW from lets say you either have a ledger or trezor and you want to move everything over to Tangem. Upon using the loading option for seed phrase that already exists, do you still have to import the assets over? Which means gas fees. Why even bother doing this? why not get a new seed phrase and then import everything manually from the get go?
No. All your assets are tied to your private key/seed phrase. So if you import it into a new wallet, you’ll have all your assets. Meaning you don’t have to transfer anything.
Yeah, that is unfortunate. Hopefully this will be optimized in future firmware updates. For now, I transfer my coins to an exchange or decentralized exchange to sell for another coin or fiat.
@@cyberscrilla I have the same issue except a little different. No matter how much BTC I have in my wallet, when I go to sell it only says I have $500 to sell. It is a bit worrisome. Not that I would sell but I wanted to make sure all the features work. Any ideas?
impossible to compare, there are not made about the same use : Tangem can be used as a credit card in couple with a cellular phone and its native mobile apps with very large panel of blockchains and crypto in a easy set-up. Keystone is great with its open source and much safer and thinking to be use on desktop with a third part apps like Rabby, so one, Tangem, is a nomad usecase, the other one is a home usecase and Onekey touch is the real challenger of Keystone 3 pro
False. Tangem CAN NOT be used as a credit card. That will be a completely separate product. These products are comparable as they are both cold wallets
Should I buy a Keystone Pro 3 or a SafePal S1? Which one do you recommend? I have a $150 budget. If you want to suggest it yourself, you can.... Love from India ❤
I can only speak on the Keystone 3 Pro (I’ve never used the S1). The 3 Pro is great and most people who buy it love it including myself. It has ample security features. But it’s not as user friendly as some other wallets since you use it in conjunction with compatible hot wallets. You can get 25% off the Keystone right now which actually puts it under $100 so it still falls within your budget. @@AdanFarrah Tangem is MUCH MORE user friendly and supports seed phrase generation. BCVault (which is not a wallet in this video btw) i only recommend to experienced users. It also doesn’t support seed phrase generation
Can you please make a video about the Web3 wallet on binance inbuilt ? It doesn't require us to create a seed phrase, but instead a recovery password or a key share.. ..
I might make a video on it, but I don’t generally cover hot wallets. Binance’s wallet is an MPC wallet. Technically it’s self custodial (like Metamask) but without a seed phrase. MPC wallet stores 3 shares of your private key in 3 locations 1. Binance 2. Your Device 3. Cloud Storage All your shares are encrypted with a recovery password that you generate. You need 2 of the 3 shares to access your wallet. That said, I would never use this kind of wallet to store my crypto. Cold storage is the most secure solution. - Alex
Wait how is this the first time I've heard that one CAN INDEED get a seed phrase with Tangem...?! I always loved it conceptually and wanted to try it out but the notion that a malfunction in a static device could suddenly render my holdings completely inaccessible would inevitably drive me towards another product. I feel like they're shootng themselves in the foot by emphasizing the fact that you don't have to deal with a private key while using the wallet. I 100% would have bought one already.
Bro, used your referral code and received my Tangem wallet today. It took 15 days to receive it. The pack has opened but box looks ok. I don’t know whether to transfer my assets or not😅
Tangem already addressed this issue, it’s completely safe to use. It was just a packaging issue. Same thing happened to me and everyone else. When you setup the card, the app automatically does an authentic check. If it doesn’t tell you anything, it’s safe.
@@crisper1614 That’s not good advice. Tangem already addressed this issue. It was nothing more than a packaging mishap. Plus the app does an authenticity check when you setup the card

In the reviews and discussions about Crypto wallets, it appears to me that you end up realizing that you need a Vault (cold wallet) to store the majority of your coins. Your vault (Keystone) a more sedentary device that you don't interact with very often and then you have a more mobile wallet (Tangem) that you will use for small everyday transactions. I think you described it well in this video. Use the Keystone as your Vault and the Tangem as your easy-to-use everyday wallet. Of course, budget will have a lot to do with the route you go but at the end of the day deciding you are going to take on self-custody of your holdings, there will be some responsibility you will have to take on. You are the bank now.
Good point. And you’re right. However, I feel confident using Tangem as a vault and do. But to your point, you should have separate wallets. A vault, and a transaction wallet. 👍

Bro, hello . hope all good.. I came across in binance app, they have an inbuilt web3 wallet.. it also offered to save or backup our pass key.. is it similar to other wallets like meta or trust? can you please make a small video about how it functions ? If they are similar to other hot wallets ?!
Hi mate, how can you guarantee the tangem card is safe. All security-applied programmes in the digital environment are entitled to your money. I think it is more guaranteed to stand on large stock exchanges. Tangem, Ledger, when you transfer the money in these, you send it through their own programmes. it all looks like it belongs to you, it's just not safe.
That’s not true. Cold wallets use the blockchain which is decentralized and where crypto lives. They don’t have “their own programs”. And you control the keys that grant you access to your wallet (self custody). Now if you were to keep your crypto on a centralized exchange, THAT’s DANGEROUS as they control your private key. Hence, a cold wallet like Tangem is best because it gives you full control of your assets.
@@archhasangoral Tangem is easier to use and support more tokens. My main issue with Ledger is they lied to their users claiming the private key couldn’t be extracted from the secure element chip. Recently they released a service called Ledger Recover which does exactly that (with the user’s approval)
When you connect your hardwallet to a hot wallet to connect to a dex for example, and you have to sign a transaction, isn't that a vulnerability point to have your wallet emptied? After all, in order to sign anything, your phrase key must be known, right? Even if it doesn't get displayed anywhere visually. So, if you really want safety, it's not just that you'll triple check to enter the correct sites and use hardware wallets, but you'll never sign anything, right? Thank you. No defi, just simple receiving and sending of funds would be the way to be extra safe, as I understand it. P.S.: I once had two addresses on the same chain connected to the same wallet (though I still had several safety measures, like using a bootable linux that would get cleared after each use), aspiring for safety, I connected my smaller bag to a dex for some simple defi, it got drained. The other address connected to the same wallet, nothing happened to it. My keys from the smaller bag had to have been stolen just by my signing of a transaction.
Yes and no. This is the case for ANY cold wallet not just the 3 Pro. Connecting your cold wallet to any dapp is a risk, because if you sign a malicious transaction, you grant a scammer access to your wallet. That’s why I always recommend having a dedicated cold wallet as a storage solution. However, the 3 Pro provides anti blind signing which could actually help you detect a malicious transaction before approving it. But NO, your seed phrase/private never leaves the secure element chip on the device so it’s never exposed as you suggested.
@@cyberscrilla thank you. I kept searching your videos and I found the one where you explain how to properly use a hardware wallet, kudos! Suspected it, but pretty much everyone else acts like a hardware wallet that you connect on the web as a cold storage device, when it's not. Such a travesty for others to explain how to use it, mentioning signing transactions, and not speak of the risks of signing. The seed phrase is actually a way for humans to remember the key, i.e. the access key gets rendered as a seed phrase, so in all intends and purposes - if by singing one could access your wallet, doesn't that mean he knows your key, cause you used it to sign, so basically your seed phrase/key did leave your wallet?
@@Jadeite12 You’re welcome. There’s always that confusion of how cold wallets work to actually secure your crypto. To answer your question. Signing a transaction doesn't mean your seed phrase or private key leaves your wallet. You use your private key to create a digital signature locally on your device. You don't share your private key or seed phrase with anyone. Phishing scams rely on "token approval" that enable users to grant smart contracts a certain amount of access to their wallets.
@@cyberscrillato clarify, you agree that connecting a Keystone Pro 3 to a defi puts the crypto at risk??? Or no? 0:05 If you have a video on the risks of connecting a cold wallet to defi, please share the link. Thank you ❤️
@@AmyThrash You should have a dedicated cold wallet that is only used to store your crypto. Cold wallets aren’t immune to phishing scams. If you approve a scammer access to your wallet, it’s game over. If you want to mess around on defi, either just use a hot wallet or get another cold wallet. Your storage wallet should only be used to hold your investments. Then when you’re ready to cash out, send funds to an exchange, then to your bank. It’s simple. Hopefully that helps! - Alex

@@KeystoneWalletyou guys really need to work on an app that does all coins. Using various 3rd party apps isn’t exactly fun, especially when my bitcoin is shown at different amounts on blue wallet and OKX. Doesn’t Instill the feeling of security.
You technically could but I dont recommend it. You need to setup at least one backup card in order to create an access code for your wallet. So if you only use one card, it won’t have an access code which is an essential security feature.
An issue that Tangem can improve on is to have 24-word seed phrase. Tangem is good to allow optional seed phase, but it can only allow 12-word seed phase.
Not really an issue. More of a preference. The odds of guessing a 12 word phrase are 1 in a decillion (1 with 33 zeros after it) basically impossible. The odds of getting striked by lightning every day of your life, multiple times per day, is greater than someone guessing your 12 word phrase. - Alex

Good thing I didn't put more BTC on the damn thing. Feel like I've been robbed buying a beta test device.
If someone is watching your phone, yes. For clarity, the process with the seed phrase is as follows: The seed phrase is generated from 12 words in the phone, then it’s converted into a private key which thereafter imported into the chip of the card, and finally, the seed phrase is deleted from the phone. This process can be verified in GitHub, because the app is open source. - Alex
That’s not what this wallet is for nor is it capable. It’s for managing and storing crypto. Tangem had partnered with Visa and will be releasing a crypto debit card soon. Probably 2024/25
Keystone isn't user friendly AT ALL! After dealing with ledger, trying to navigate keystone is like learning a new language. Blind signing refers to the process where the signer is unable to see the content of what they are signing. In the case of Tangem, since the transaction details are displayed on the app before approving the transaction by scanning the card, it does not fit the definition of blind signing. The user has the opportunity to review the transaction details before approving it, so it's not a blind signing process.

Tangem and keystone
Both are brilliant.

Anybody else having this problem

I recently just updated my keystone 3 pro firmware and It died 60% install and I can’t get it to even cut back on at all smh still waiting to hear back from support
Great Video,
I am interested in the Tangem wallet.
That said, Keystone is still working on making the 3 Pro better so feedback like this helps (I’ll send it straight to Keystone)
As for Bitfi you might be right. But that’s not why I haven’t reviewed it. Honestly I’ve never heard of it until now.
Also a wallet that uses Wifi is NOT air gapped.
Hopefully, Keystone will continue to improve.

Not sure what your issue is lol it's the most user friendly hw wallet and supports all assets that metamask supports bitcoin being one of them. 😂

I used your code to get both, took advantage of the Xmas sale. Got the Keystone for $97 withFREE SHIPPING and NO TAX!
Thank you! Let me know if you have any questions! 🙂
How do you import crypto from an exchange to your Keystone 3 Pro.Tried but nothing shows up. Without adding a software wallet to your Keystone.
To manage your crypto with the Keystone 3 Pro, you need a third-party hot wallet. For transferring crypto, let's take ETH as an example:

@@cyberscrilla Sure
I'm in doubt between tangem, trezor one, keystone or onekey classic 😅😅😅
I have a keystone and I am about to buy a Tangem because I don’t like using 3rd party wallets aside from blue wallet for bitcoin. I find metamask and OKX to not be straight forward apps, it’s possible I am just inept however.
I have the Tangem 2.0, but because the transactions are on my phone it's very slow. Takes forever, needs to be reloaded, so I just ordered the Keystone. I don't mind so much the price of it, due to it being my tool to manage a bit of money. I have Tangem, but we don't understand each other: I have lost transactions.
Is Tangem wallet useful for storing crypto long term? Or should I get Keystone instead for this purpose?
Sure. It works for storing crypto long term.
It’s just a preference.
Tangem is super easy to use, but doesn’t have a screen which some people don’t like security wise.
Keystone is harder to use, but has its own screen.
do you have to pay for the hot wallet for the keystone 3 pro
No you don’t pay for hot wallets. They’re free apps you download from the App Store on your phone or computer
My keystone pro arrived with dead battery that could not be charged. Has this happened to anyone else? How do I contact customer support?
You need to update the firmware and it will fix it.
Follow these steps:
Here's the complete step from our support team:
To address this issue, we have developed firmware version 1.2.4 specifically crafted to rectify the charging quirk associated with the embedded system. We strongly recommend updating your device to the latest firmware to optimize its performance.
Please follow the steps below for a smooth firmware update process:
1. Access Recovery Mode on your device:
Connect to Your Computer:
Connect your Keystone 3 Pro to your computer using the provided USB cable.
Long-press the power button for 20 seconds until you enter Recovery Mode.
For macOS Users: Look for a "No Name" USB drive icon on your desktop or find it in Finder under "Locations."
2. Download Firmware Package:
Download the firmware package named "keystone3.bin" to your computer.
Link: keyst.one/firmware
3. Transfer Firmware:
Drag the downloaded firmware file 'keystone3.bin' into the USB drive, 'No Name' associated with your Keystone 3 Pro. (Note: Ensure the file name is 'keystone3.bin')
Allow the transfer to complete.
4. Initiate Firmware Installation:
Tap the "Reboot" button on your device once the transfer is finished.
The new firmware will be installed automatically. Kindly be patient during this process.
Once completed, your device will return to its normal status and update to version 1.2.4.
For additional guidance, you can refer to Keystone’s video tutorial:

Anyways since this wallet doesn’t have a companion app what do I do to view the btc I sent to it? Ugh!!! Appreciate any feedback that will encourage me to continue using this wallet. Thank you very much.
Sir which wallet you use please tell
👍 I didn’t mention that, thanks
Interesting, thanks for sharing.
If im right that would still all be available for you to see on the tangem app before sending etc

Wow! No way… That’s awesome, I’m gonna have to some serious thinking now. I appreciate you so much Alex. @@cyberscrilla

I might make a video on it, but I don’t generally cover hot wallets.
Binance’s wallet is an MPC wallet. Technically it’s self custodial (like Metamask) but without a seed phrase.
MPC wallet stores 3 shares of your private key in 3 locations
1. Binance
2. Your Device
3. Cloud Storage
All your shares are encrypted with a recovery password that you generate.
You need 2 of the 3 shares to access your wallet.
That said, I would never use this kind of wallet to store my crypto.
Cold storage is the most secure solution.

So which is better, Tangem or Ledger?
@hasangoral8451 I’d choose Tangem personally.

Or no?
0:05
If you have a video on the risks of connecting a cold wallet to defi, please share the link.

Isn't the Tangem technically also air gapped? And never a firmware update.
It’s not air gapped because it uses NFC. But it has proven to be secure. And correct, no firmware updates required
Can I get the Tangem 3 cards, but use the 3rd card as a standalone?
You technically could but I dont recommend it. You need to setup at least one backup card in order to create an access code for your wallet.
So if you only use one card, it won’t have an access code which is an essential security feature.
@@cyberscrilla good 2 know.
Have you compared Tangem 2.0 to Arculus?
No, I plan to though. Just need to get the Arculus wallet
Will a magnet ruin either of these wallets?
Nope! They are both resistant. 👍
Thoughts on Trezor Safe 3?
It’s not out yet. I’m trying to get my hands on one. Looks solid from what I’ve read on the website.
@@cyberscrilla awesome will be looking out for your review 👍
@@MuchoGustoo You got it! I’m doing my best to get a review done ASAP! :)
The same two wallets I use too. I really like both.
Both great wallets. Different. But good
What about battery on keystone 3 pro?
What about it? It’s built in. Other adjustments have been made so it lasts longer on a charge.
Keystone is $90 now, Comparing this price and benefit, is it more worth it than the onekey classic about $89?
Yes if you’re looking for a more secure device.
No if you’re going for user-friendliness.
@@cyberscrilla If you are a ledger user and send proof to keystone they will still give you a 35% discount 😂😂😂
I have a Keystone and a Tangem the are top!
How about “Secux”?
Not a fan last time I used it
An issue that Tangem can improve on is to have 24-word seed phrase.
- Alex
I understand your problem 24 words logically see it's big numbers 24 words but 12 words is enough see trezor also 12 words
I am also thinking same then I am watching so many videos TH-cam and blog's reading then i understand ok 12 words not a problem it's not easy to gessing
I believe version 2 has 12 to 24 key words.
@@Hondo0101 You can only generate a 12 word phrase with Tangem 2.0.
However, you can import 12, 18, 21, 24 word phrases.
Thank you!
You’re welcome!
9:43 Ledger USB cord xD
I was waiting for someone to say something! It's my favorite cord because it's USB to USB-C 😆
Looked at Tangem but ended up going with the new Trezor Safe 3 for my needs
Nice! Looks like a good wallet. I’ll be reviewing it here soon!
I am wondering to buy Tangem 2 VS Trezor Safe 3 as well, please educate me why you end up to Safe 3?
@@SparkerBarubear Tangem is easier to use than Trezor because it’s managed on your phone using NFC.
The Safe 3 has a screen so you aren’t signing transactions on your phone (like you do with Tangem).
Both are great wallets, just comes down to preference and what you need.
Also, Tangem supports more coins than Trezor.
I reviewed both Tangem and Trezor Safe 3 if you want to learn more.

Thx bro@@cyberscrilla
Airgap vault is same as keystone
Not really.
My Keystone Pro 3 arrived the other day, I don't recommend it. The build quality isn't great, nor is the screen. The instructions have gaps missing, it's very un-user friendly, buggy, I can't get over how the Companion App isn't compatible, the list of supported cryptos is BS, I bought it bc it said it supports ADA, apparently that's coming soon.
To top it off I tested it by loading up with $100 of BTC, and I can't send the crypto out bc the scanning process fails, still waiting on CS to get back to me.
Good thing I didn't put more BTC on the damn thing. Feel like I've been robbed buying a beta test device.
Why not both?
Sure, if you have the means, wallet diversification is a good idea!
if the firmware isn't open source, then that's the same using Ledger
Not really. They are two completely separate companies.
Isn't the fact that Tangem shows you your seed phrase on the phone app mean that it technically has been introduced to the world?
If someone is watching your phone, yes.
For clarity, the process with the seed phrase is as follows:
The seed phrase is generated from 12 words in the phone, then it’s converted into a private key which thereafter imported into the chip of the card, and finally, the seed phrase is deleted from the phone.
This process can be verified in GitHub, because the app is open source.

You are the man. Thank you for this great video.
Keystone lacks support and is just horrible. The discord is fulled with spammers trying to steal your keys. The device is not reliable at all.
It has been reliable for me. That said it’s not for everyone. And I avoid Discord/Telegram altogether. Terrible place to be in crypto
Tangem Wallet is really cool with the end-to-end cerifiction. This feature ensures that no one can ever tamper with your cards.
Yep, exactly 👍
I would like to see someone using a Tangem wallet in a normal store purchase.
Forcing you to connect to HOT wallets just to send and receive crypto is a nightmare. If you have dogecoin, you can forget storing it on this trash hardware wallet, it won't support it.
If you’re looking for a ledger alternative i recommend the Trezor Safe 3.
Keystone is a bit more complicated.

@bearmouse9424 which means what exactly?
@@cyberscrilla I think he's referring to the potential backdoor left behind by the CCP 🤣🤣🤣 (jkjk) but not really 👀

Tangem all the way ❤
Keystone makes a TERRIBLE lithium battery. I've had it and the Foundation Passport since 2022 and the Passport is superior.
How is it superior?
Great video, as always! It so happens I previously decided to get both the Tangem 2.0 and Keystone 3 Pro for the same reasons you articulated in your video, so I concur with everything you said. I got one of the customized Keystones, which took a while to finally ship and will hopefully arrive soon, so I couldn’t help but notice and admire the customization they did for you…very cool!👍🏻
Love it! Which design did you go with? I know they had a few options to choose from.
Yes! I was thrilled with the custom Cyber Scrilla design! 😁
@@cyberscrilla I went with the Shardeum. I kept vacillating between that and one of the other designs, but I liked the purpose of Shardeum.

no one ever talks about how to buy crypto on these wallets
Is that something you’d like to see then?
I did show how to buy crypto on the Tangem wallet in my Tangem review video which pops up at the end of this video.
Did you already watch that one?

Who guarantees, that these generators don't follow a pattern for the first, let's say 100 generations? I want generate my own mnemonic combination, not generated ones.
You can generate your own seed phrase. Do so at your own risk. The human mind is not good at choosing a random order of words like software is.
All seed phrases are generated from the BIP39 word list, so you have to choose from that.
Great.
The problem with Tangem is you need a phone that has NFC capabilities
Practically all modern phones have NFC. By 2014, many phones had begun using NFC.

Its weird tangem gets audited i trust it...keystone 3 gets audited ...i am skeptical
What’s your question? I don’t understand what’s weird? Both companies are audited. Audits are good.
@cyberscrilla tangem had 2 credible companies who specialize in security audit them..keystone had a company im not sure actually does specialize in security and claimed open-source for an odd amount of time before they released their firmware which makes me skeptical about them. ..I don't really have a question I'm just saying..1 is alot more trustworthy

Tangem is a blind signer
Blind signing refers to the process where the signer is unable to see the content of what they are signing.
In the case of Tangem, since the transaction details are displayed on the app before approving the transaction by scanning the card, it does not fit the definition of blind signing.
The user has the opportunity to review the transaction details before approving it, so it's not a blind signing process.
