It was indeed. As we mentioned, Anja is German, so the standard is set very very high. We still had a great time, but the ones in Germany and Austria are just magical.
They're the best! It's true, the food wasn't the greatest at times, but it felt good to be in such a "Christmasy" setting after having covid mess up the last few years! Comparing them to German Christmas markets is setting the bar pretty high as well- but Anja is German, sooo..😂 We'd love to see what a Belgian Christmas Market looks like some time. We love banoffee! Banoffee "flavored" things can be hit or miss, as you can see. 😂 We are definitely going to be on the hunt for some proper banoffee next time we're in the UK. 🧐 The markets were pretty magical, so you should!
We always try to be honest when we're trying foods! We always try to find the best places when we're looking to try something new, so that we can give everything a proper shot - but even then, sometimes things don't work out. Haha.
Great vlog. Our Christmas Markets here in the U.K. are rubbish compared to Austrian or German Christmas markets. The food and atmosphere is much better and more magical. However, In London in a place called Kew they have a mile long walk through amazing Christmas light display. But you have to book a time slot.
Anja is German, and we lived in Berlin for two years together, so the markets we are used to are quite elaborate- so I wouldn't say it was a fair comparison for us to make. We'd love to check that out! We're looking forward to making more Christmas market videos next year...but next time in Germany, Austria and (most likely) Hungary!
