    You can't put it down to one thing, it's location, selection, the people, entertainment, food, it's all these things combined, York is brilliant anyway but the Christmas market is fantastic

      Are there Christmas markets in Australia?

      @@everydayimeating3407 Yes! I am heading to one on the weekend on the grassy park next to the beach. Quite different as you'd expect. Very hot this time of year so no mulled wine. More of a frozen slushy vibe! I do miss that colder christmassy atmosphere at times though, so it was nice to see it ☺️

    Having lived in York for 4. Years studying at York St. John university, I love this city and everything it has to offer Christmas market is great but bigger and better o. A weekend evening in the dark glad you enjoyed

    Hi from Los Angeles! Sunny here, but our Winter heatwave is gone. Still, at 71F/22C, no complaints from me.
    The Christmas market looked fun! I miss Christmas markets (especially the German ones). We don't have them here in Calif.

    I really enjoyed the market videos. I'm in the US and we don’t have fun things like this. I'm a writer, I wanted a pen and one of those amazing journals. What fun this was. I don't have a family and watching these videos is Christmas for me! Thank you.

    There’s clearly something wrong with me because I really enjoyed this video. I was expecting food but I got a Christmas market. 🌲☃️.
    I still enjoyed it. I’m not sure of his name but I think it’s his relaxed personality that wins me over. Well, plus I love the food video’s. I was so hoping he would buy the rum and raisin cake things cause I love that flavour but they were probably too expensive. The whole market is a total RIPOFF for the ordinary Joe soap. 🌲‘it’s the season to be jolly is lost with these prices. Market used to mean cheaper and haggling. Ah stop. Rant over 🤣. Great video buddy. 👍

    I do love a Christmas market but the prices they charge on things is ridiculous. I read that a Christmas market in Manchester charges 15 pound for a sausage roll, 12 times more expensive than greggs... Criminal 😂

    Looks like all the same old China-made tat that are being flogged at sky-high prices all across the UK at so-called “Christmas” markets. Plus those £9-a-go “authentic bratwurst” from the *German* stall, that are actually reheated frankfurters from packs of 12 in Lidl. Still, these stalls suits the types who buy from them, who either have more money than sense, or simply money to burn.

    • @klausgeltl5654
      @klausgeltl5654 ปีที่แล้ว

      At Lidl, you can often, for a limited time, buy authentic good quality imports, e.g. from Bavaria, but not at this time of year. To see an actual Christmas market you'd have to go abroad to the continent anyway; the British have lost touch with that, apparently, completely by now.

    • @iainferguson764
      @iainferguson764 ปีที่แล้ว

      £9 for a large pork pie is ridiculous. A good local butchers would be a better bet.
      Thought you might have at least bought a hot dog to show us. Pretty boring just looking at coasters and other tat.

    @davidsworld5837 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    Is there some kind of joke going on. a cookie for a £5 coasters £8 I do not see how these thing are worth it at all.
    really only for the silly people from abroad who are there on holiday.
    did you waste your money on that food item you said you may come back for
    The foods at lease markets make places to eat look cheap.
