Thank you so much for this. I was a labor and delivery nurse. One day a woman came with her mother from Africa, Ghana I think. She had been giving a corn drink to her daughter to increase her milk supply. I had never heard of this and was so impressed with how well it worked. That mama had more milk than anyone I ever saw in 30 years.
Yes, corn pudding boosts breast milk supply 😁
OMG this is awesome

Love the ziplock packaging choice
Wow this is fantastic 👏🏻👏🏻 I love pap in this colour well done you did a good a job
Thank you dear
Great job dear, I love akamu. Soaking is actually 4 days, so that fermentation can take place, that is how you get distinctive smell and sour test that akamu have. Other than that, you did a great job.👍
Hi, thanks for clarifying that. But is it okay to soak it more than 4days?.
No, more than 4 days won't be good
Iike is because my grandmother seller in Nigeria that why know to do it good job
I've watched a lot of videos on pap and I noticed soaking was for 2 to 3days. 2days was for if you're using warm water.
This is so true. I did this using this same Hominy corn soaking it for two days but it didn’t have that distinctive sour taste that Akamu has, it was more like custard. I’m doing a new batch this week and I’m soaking the corn for 4 days. Hopefully it would come out better this time😀
This na real village style! Lol
This is beautiful nne. Thanks a lot for this video
You are welcome
I'm going to try this🥰🤤😋 as I was given it to eat in Nigeria in 2010 and its so nice and tasty!!! Thank you for sharing how to make it ❤💋

Making this is a lot of work. I remember making the one with millet for my baby it wasn't easy. You r a supper mum. Well done
Thank you my fellow super mom. It's not easy but it's worth it.

Thank you my sister. Come and take your share o
Have use the shaft for swallow & very nice.
I eat it a lot when I was small & is good for weight loss too
Interesting. Thanks for watching dear
This well made Adaora. I don't have any preference on white or yellow Akamu. I prefer just making my Akamu without the millet or ginger. Thanks for sharing.
You are welcome Sir. Okay. Akamu is akamu wether white or yellow corn. I understand that😅
Thak you very good 👍 👏 👌 ♥ ❤ you are doing great so good for me God bless you
Bless you too💖
This is excellent 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great job sis. i always love people who try to make things by themselves. At least you will be sure of what you are eating.
I always make my pap with different corn species i.e the white, yellow, millet, red and white guineas corn. and spice it up with cloves and ginger.
The water (omidun), i kept in my fridge for drinking and sometimes use it to boil herbs.
The bag you used to tie the akamu to drain the water is what type of bag. Thanks for sharing 🙂
Muslin bag or cheese bag
How do I get the two different types of bags you used, the one for sieving the grinded corn and the one for pouring it in. How do I get these bags please?
Well done Sis, this is really helpful. Just what I need at the moment. I am a nursing mother and have been trying out different ways to boost my milk production. With this I can now make it at home.
Glad it was helpful!
Congratulations on your new baby
Wonderful. Thanks
I really enjoyed making the pap at home while watching you and it was a great idea. Thanks
You are welcome
I prefer millet and guinea corn combination. That's what I make always.
My sister, you are doing well. I usually buy corn flour, the already blended cornflour, and soak it directly to make my akamu. I am a very lazy cook, plus I don't have enough time for this process. I really applaud you. Growing up we used ginger and guinea corn and millet, but I personally prefer the corn taste. 👊👏👏
That a genius way Nah. Since u can get your akamu that way. No need to stress abeg. I will come for the tutorial neighbor.
When you use the cornflour Does it taste like akamu?
@@iraro4show283 it will never taste like akamu
Great job. Very simplified process. I’ve been working too hard and losing a lot of Akamu. Not anymore after watching your video. Thank you!
You are welcome 👍
That looks so good. Well done sis, you did a very good job tfs.
Thank you sis
Eeee congratulations 🎉🎊🎈🍾 for 1k well done
Thank you my sister💖
Definitely yellow. Thanks.
Nice and neatly prepared.
I prefer the yellow corn but like adding dawa.
One of my best for breakfast .
Best result when I combine it with moi moi, okpa , fried plantain or porridge beans
Well done Adorable.
Thank you Ma❤
Thank you Ebele for your great knowledge of how to make Ogi/Akamu I watched your video which is very interesting
And we appreciate it.
My question is do you have a Recipe Book with Nigerian Cuisines? If so how can I purchase one.
My name is :-
Mrs Taiwo Olufunwa and I live in North London.
Thank you for your feedback. No, I do not have a recipe book but you can get one from @flochinyere of All Nigerian Food Recipes.

Chai see my girl is almost at 1k ..💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾 .. To do akamu in abroad is not easy at all ok .. the most stressful part for me is when I am sieving it .. .. good job as always ❤️❤️

Okay dear. Thanks for watching ❤
@@AdorableKitchen you are welcome hun❤❤❤😘😘😘😘
I prefer the white pap. This is time consuming but worth it especially for those outside Nigeria. The blender has to be a strong one to avoid story that touches the heart😀great content as usual✌
Lol. Yes my sister. Thanks for watching. Team white corn oshey💖
Not all d blander
Look delicious. New friend here to support you with lk. Stay connected. Love from Germany.

You are welcome. Yeah. Millet and ginger is fine
Yellow corn
The colour is very nice, the corn is so yellow, I prefer yellow corn, ginger kwa? I haven't seen that. You did it so well, thanks for sharing
You are welcome sis. Yes ginger o. People add it. Makes it flavorful
Well done, you have done a great 👍 job.I thought you sell it in US...till I heard you saying you always keep in the fridge for a year. It's a lot of work/process,I can never do it,I buy in african store especially for breastfeeding...even now that I have stopped breastfeeding, just to enjoy with my moi moi or beans.
I can supply to u
Akamu cloth 🥰
🤣😅😅
@@AdorableKitchen 😅 thanks for this wonderful video ma’am
@@king_leo2490 you are welcome
This is wonderful.
Pls, i love your blender.
Can you get me one and let me know the price.
Thanks.
Akamu in diaspora indeed😁. Well done, Sis. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you 😀
It looks very delicious and appetising. My warm greetings from Mallorca
Thank you 💖
Welldone sis👍🏽❤..
Of a truth akamu is a big job, this i know by experience because i sieved mine today after 3 days of soaking. 3- 4 days i prefer for better fermentation and also save the blender life, except for those grinding with heavy duty.
It's all worth the stress at the end though. Welldone sis.
Love from India🤗
Awwww. Thanks so much dear for this feedback. It is a big work indeed. I like that you soaked 3 days for better fermentation and to help the blades of your blender... Well done dear💖💖
@@AdorableKitchen do you have any idea what the chaff can be used for?
Yeah, you can use it for swallow. Nri oka.
@@AdorableKitchen ohh yes i know nri oka oo☺, very good with okro soup, but can't remember how it's done. Thank you.
Do you have a video of the nri oka sis?
@@thegracedlifenetwork8812 😅 No dear. I dried the chaff. Then I just added little wheat then prepared it the normal way we make semo. That was once sha. I didn't really like it.
Never ate that before, you should do a video with ways u can use it. The color looks nice though
Okay dear. Noted. I will
