That rear spool in the PV2 and PV4, and the one in the OEM valve, limits pressure (not volume) to the rear brakes. Notice that you can see through the PVMH but not the PV2; that's because there's a valve in the PV2. Most GMCMH gurus recommend that pressure to the rear brakes not be limited, hence the recent development of the PVMH.

How can I diagnose the proportioning valve as the problem in my TZE brake system? My 75 Glenbrook stops okay with both feet on the brake pedal but it takes a lot of effort to use one foot to brake.

It appears we can take a PV2 valve and drill out / remove the proportioning valve in the fitting and it becomes a PVMH

I just finished replacing all my brake components, and was not aware of the bleeder tool for the proportioning valve. Where can I get one of those?
