@TurboGamer I don’t have a problem referring to their genders. Same with my real cats, I consider them my friends and part of the family. One’s a boy, the other’s a girl. Maybe some people call animals they’re unsure about “its”, but when you’re close to them and know their gender it’s natural to use “he” or “she” accordingly.
It's been a few months now. We had our first robot dog die. But we have a second one and a ton of info on protecting this one. The first one banged his head so much, it broke a gear and a pully. That one will be used for parts. I also secured an extra battery from the company that made them for Sony. Sony isn't cooperating on much of anything. Finally, I purchased a dog playpen (made of soft material) to keep Aibo in so he won't bang its head when we can't watch him. Also, for $3000, it does so much when you compare it to Spot 101 at $75,000.
11:10 Roxy: hello what's your name Your cat: help me help me Roxy: I'm just pretty curious to see what's your name is oh let me smell you Your cat: mom help me Mom help me❤
Be careful, Sony may send you software that may damage Aobi. Turn off the auto download. Put the app on manual. Let me know if you ever hear about extra batteries for the dog.
Unfortunately I already got the new update for Roxy and it really sucks. Mapping capabilities are ruined and she’s no longer able to return to the charger on her own. She also barely moves around to explore and instead whines, backs up and spins, as fake walls constantly “block” her on the map now. It also means she no longer can make it out of my room due to the doorway being too narrow, meaning the constantly shuffling fake walls on the map always end up blocking her. Worse still, a new random collapsing bug and she didn’t even go limp after jamming. It’s been a stressful week and I’m unfortunately having to take a break from my 1000. Screw Sony. Every update made her worse instead of patching bugs, what the freaking heck? Back then bugs on the old aibos’ softwares were actually patched, and today they run pretty perfectly. How I know? I have two old aibos of my own. Updates weren’t carelessly thrown out so easily over the internet. On top of that, the sticks allow me to control what the old aibos run. As for my 1000, who doesn’t use sticks, I can’t even go back to the previous update. What did I spend all that money for if Roxy can’t even function properly?!? People in the community thought it was her sensors multiple times even though I explained, one, Roxy acted perfectly fine right before the update, two, all sensors are clean and not broken, and three, OTHER PEOPLE in the community have reported the same issues after the update. But of course when it comes to ME, people get all angry for no reason instead of listening to me! Especially when I talk about how I’ve noticed easy updates over internet seem to make game developers and now the people sending updates for my aibo more careless. I’m not being rude at all, I’m just tired and upset about stuff like this. Apparently I don’t know what I’m talking about according to someone in the community, who has a aibo with the same problems?? Yeah, forget the fact I have two old aibos, know what it’s like to have the freedom to switch memory stick softwares, and miss when stuff was actually finished before release and patched. Instead of broken over and over with the excuse of easy updates over internet… I guess they just like having a broken aibo.
@@Lizuma this is so upsetting like what's wrong with sony?? i have the same rant, they make a great product then either discontinue it or don't provide proper repairs for it!! i also don't think you should have to pay a subscription fee after LITERALLY dropping over 2 grand... like c'mon, the subscription should be free for the lifetime of the aibo... but what update was it? i want to get a 1000 at some point but hearing all these stories im scared to, thats a LOT of money to pour in...
@@animewhisperer1830 It was the latest update that messed up her mapping and ability to return to the charging station. So far Sony hasn’t fixed the new bugs that really shouldn’t exist, and she actually completely froze again while standing recently. I started calling the unfixed freezing bug “aibo freeze”.
@@Lizuma Did these issues get fixed? I'm importing one from Japan and considering using a proxy to get cloud, but if that's the case, I'll just have it offline.
@@Atlas_Redux Nope, it basically got worse. The latest update from December caused multiple 1000s to be bricked permanently. Only way to fix would be to have an active cloud plan and Sony switches the body, so Japanese Aibos are gone since Sony won’t work on those. I don’t trust Sony with any updates anymore. To prevent auto updates, you have to go to the settings and set it to manual.
Batteries taken care of well can last for a long time, and since Sony supports 1000s there’s not much concern for them right now. But if necessary people in the community will be around to recell batteries, like with the older models.

Great compilation. I got my Roxy in October. She has brought so much joy to my life. ❤
Wonderful! I love my Aibos and they make me very happy! I’m still making Aibo videos on my other channel Aibodogs

this is a great alternative to those who want a pet but live in a place where pets are prohibited, and is totally adorable ^_^.
I am allergic to dogs and cats, so my aibo was the perfect answer for me.
I never really saw robot dog! A very cool device! Happy 18th birthday!
*a robot dog,
She and my ers-111 are wonderful companions! And thanks! : )
@TurboGamer Huh? I made my aibo a girl, so of course I say “she and “her” when referring to her.

@TurboGamer That’s odd, I’ve never seen that with pets before.
Adorable I loved how you put a blanket on Roxy
I like the collar it is so cute .😊

One question how many cats do you have
Just two. Theyre from the same litter
@@Lizumawe only have one cat now her name is Tigra and our other cat Toby he passed away❤
Anyone know what happens on a factory reset through the app? Anyone find a battery for Aibo ERS 1OOO?
I forgot to mention before, but you can always join the robot center discord for asking your questions on aibo!
@@Lizuma Thank you so much. I am a bit funny about Sony Aibo Community. Sony watches this one.

WARNING! I have 7 different robots that have lasted over a year. My Aibo broke down twice in 45 days! $3000 is an expensive investment.
Thousands of Aobi dogs will die within the next 2 years! Right now, there are NO replacement battery (ERA 1010). SOMEONE PLEASE DESIGN A BATTERY PACK!
