Showing gameplay after you've explained your tools and giving a general idea of what you're doing while you play is an awesome way to make a tutorial. Hope to see more of these they'll be very useful for anyone looking to get into the game. This is a top tier guide.
I love the guides to at least play a char at a entry level. I hate trying to learn a char from some dude with an hour long guide and a crazy game plan that isn't easy for a new player. I just wanna mash and win until I want to get better and learn more complex stuff. Thanks!
@@TheSurrealSun assuming you're facing to the right, it goes: 789 456 123 5 is neutral position. your stick or pad is not pressed towards any direction. 6 is forward, 4 is back, 9 is up forward, etc.
kinda wish the buttons for the combos was just a list at the bottom of the screen instead of having to slow down the vid n lookin at what u pressed but thank you anyway
Seeing the matches afterwards and seeing you use all the same techniques you mentioned in the prior tutorial really helps to show how effective it is and how to utilize it. Very cool
Bruh 7:57, return of the Jiyuna special. Anyway this was a treat since this was my BBCP1.1 main. Thanks for the effort in this one man. Damn I wish my PC could run this game.
Hey man, just wanna say thanks for the guides. I'm getting back into the series and have always wanted to play Kokonoe, and I'm in the lab rn trying to nail that initial delay into the combo, I know I can do it, I just need to be patient, but god seeing this really opened up my eyes on this character and her neutral and oki, so much stuff I overlooked. You a real one o7
Very cool and complete guide, the only thing I would add is that at least if you're in a low-mid level lobby, always ALWAYS go for a graviton and then 236B, that spin thingy she does, an experienced player will obviously anti air you, but beginners will never know how to deal with this, if it connects you have a good damage and combo starter, if it's blocked you're safe if you active the graviton, or even better because you're still plus and will be always your turn. It's a win-win.
I absolutely love this guide, Kokonoe is a character I wanna learn once I have a better grasp on the game but other guides talk about how hard she is or tried to make me learn stupidly difficult stuff immediately and it's overwhelming Simplifying and showing helps a lot
Cool guide for the character! I managed to do all of her Hard combos and one of her Expert combos in the trials the other day and were looking for more practical combos to experiment with since a lot of those Expert and Hard combos are tricky, as well as examples of her gameplan.
Loving these quick guides! Would like a Noel one because while she might be easy she has a lot of moves and combos but I don't know which ones are beginner friendly to learn early
This gotta be the key for me to clear those expert combo trials and also help me to understand how to play her more 😀 Thank you for such quality content
I don't think I'll actually play her, but just doing her stuff in trials/training mode is already a ton of fun, she has a very particular rhythm to how her stuff works.
Platinum the Trinity guide pls! Your guide get me really far with characters I don't really use lol. Kokonoe is someone I'm interested in so this was really nice, a Platinum guide would be cool too
Thanks a lot for the vid, only started trying to actually get good at FGs since Strive and SF6 so picking up a game like Blazeblue was a bit daunting in comparison this year lol.
I keep trying to learn Koko, but I just can't remember how to do her combos besides the basic 2k BNBs. But half the damage output just means twice the mixups. Edit: Never had any combos off back throw, so I tried seeing if I could do the midscreen mix/loop off grab. Seems like you can Back Throw->9D->236D->Dash into 6C and start the combo. I also went further and found out you can combo off 6B or 2B into 236D->6C if you have device set and start the same combo/loop.
I looked for this a while back and found an 8 year old video, I'm glad some guy on Twitter told me about this cause I really needed to know what I need to do with Koko in an actual game
I've been playing Blazblue for like a week and fought 1 Kokonoe. The fucker did like a 60 hit combo on me but it did so little damage that I still beat him but I will eternally fear this character.
Hey thanks for the video it was very usefull I got a problem with the cross-down combo after the 22B after I do the J236B I don't know wich side I will land to activate the gravitron in the end of the combo so it can be mess up any tips?
I wanna learn this character, she’s one of my favorites from the Story Mode so far, kinda reminds me of Washu from Tenchi as the near omnipotent nerd character.
I know this is a question probably asked everyday but what type of controller does Jiyuna play on? I really want to get a hitbox to replace my busted up broken PS4 controller but it's impossible to get one in Europe (other than paying literally 200+ just for bloody shipping)
1) Don't barrier and try to dash in throw while they are still in recovery. 2) Learn your character specific punish. You can actually get really big damage punishes but you have to be ready.
i think im pretty late getting into this game, im newer to fighting games in general as i've only been playing them this last month (mainly street fighter and dnf duel) but this game is super fun. Hoping it isn't too late to at least get comfortably decent at this game lol

Combo Notation for the ones Jiyuna Mentioned: *[A] means hold A for a bit
Essential 3C Combo {around 25 Hits}:
3C (2 Hit) > 236[A] > dl. A > B > C > 3C (2 Hit) > 236[A] > 6B > C > 3C (1 Hit) > 236[A] > 6B > C > 3C (1 Hit) > 236[A] > 6B > C > Combo End > 22B
Corner Combo ( Can start with anything that combos into 236A) {around 11 Hits}:
B > C > 3C (2 Hit) > 236A > 6A > jc. > C > 3D > B > C > Combo End > 214A > 22B
If you decide to teleport cross-up (22C) and want to keep the opponent in the corner, after 22B hits, dash under the opponent and then hit B to loop into the corner combo again
Midscreen Mix-up/Loops (22B Set-up) {around 26 Hits}:
22 or 22C mix-up > 6A > 6C > jc. > j.B (1 Hit) > j.2C > j.8D or j. D > j.B (1 Hit) > 236B > j.B (1 Hit) > j.236D > Combo End > 22B > maybe A >> Loop
this combo doesnt work for me
NVM! i didnt realize u had to dely it xd
Duuude thank you sooo much
You're the 🐐
Corner Combo clearer notation
236A > 6A > jc. > j.C > j.3D > j.B > j.C > j.214A > 22B
22B hit > 236D > (if cross-up)dash under > B > 6A > jc. loop

Koko's big drill hammer attacks are exquisite
Also she literally says FAQ!
Her animations are the best in the game.
this is the 6c combo notations
3C > 236A > 5A > 5B > 5C > 3C > 236A > 6B > 5C > 3C > 236A > 6B > 5C > 3C > 236A > 6B > 5B > 22B > 22C

Complete combo notation:
3C starter
3C > 236[A] > delay 5A > 5B > 5C > 3C > 214[A] > 6B > 5C > 3C(1) > 214[A] > 6B > 5C > 3C(1) > 6B > 5C > 22B or fireball
corner combo
basically anything into 236A in corner starts this.
(5B > 5C) > 3C > 236A > 6A > jc > j.C > j.3D > j.B(1) > j.C > j.214A > 22B
lightning confirm loop
[lightning hit] > 6A > 6C > jc > j.B(1) > j.2C > 8D > j.B(1) > 236B > j.B(1) > 236D > 22B
first timing doing notation, so hopefully it's clear enough
For the 3C starter those 214[A]s should be 236[A]
