Since Melissa Backwoods showed up, my wife doesn't mind in the least that I watch YOUR channel. Not even peep from her anymore. Ha! she even bought me a vision FG for my birthday last month!
Great video! Had me rolling a couple times! None of these were a surprise. Except the Excalibur! But I would’ve gone right along with it. It honestly made sense. I mean you designed it so of course it would be a favorite of yours.
Note to self: find clever ways to let my wife know that I simply must have Demko and Winterblade knives in my life. Several. Need more gift giving holidays to celebrate annually…
I really only got 1 new 2024 knife, which is the Protech TR3 integrity (manual), which i really enjoy. Super snappy action and great generic knife lines. Its light, comfortable, and works great. Not a work knife, but a sweet edc.
This list is incredibly epic. If your ex caliber isn't number one then it will be next year. It's your vision, it's your passion and it's your blade. Congratulations on your success.
I got mine based on MCs advice and it’s everything that he said. Not only do I have zero disappointment, but it’s everything and more. I have never had a pocket knife fit so well into a pocket. Great clip, excellent lockup, utilitarian slicey blade, comfortable micarta handle. That little orange accent on the thumb stud 💋
Great video MC. I know it was probably released too late to be considered for this list, but I'm surprised you don't have a review or unboxing of the Demko Nano yet.. I'm assuming it's in the works! Thanks for doing what you do.
Also, MC, you forgot two other 2024 Winterblade releases. The Factor B3 came out early February and then the almighty Severn came out at the very end of July. That makes FIVE super impressive Winterblade releases for 2024! That’s crazy! But it’s understandable because you get them wayyyy before us plebs do 😂
Winter blade co would have got my money this year if they offered different blade shapes. I want a shape that will pierce easily. I respect that he has a particular shape that he is fond of or that is in keeping with the design theory but I just can’t bring myself to spend that kind of money on a knife that misses a major box on my checklist.
@ much obliged. Can’t wait to see it! I’ll be saving. Side note: Dagum that was a fast response and I truly appreciate the innovation. I have a very modest budget, but your designs are so cool that I’m going to make it happen. Keep up the good work!
I love my Kunwu Pulsar Xl. It's my favorite user. I love that they nail their heat treatment . Its nuts that their prices are close to Spydercos plain models.
@@spironait’s a single edge blade. So in the right hand when you click it open the blade edge is on the bottom. If you couldn’t switch it and you had it in your left hand the knife would open with the blade edge on top. Generally speaking people don’t want their knife opening up with the blade edge on top. To answer this guys question as I understand it you can flip the blade so the blade edge opens on the bottom if you are left handed.
@@joelamaro4525 Um, yeah. You have to open the knife with the actuation button on the bottom. Not difficult. Still works. In other words, I was right! Thx! 😂
Most innovative should have definitely gone to poikilo blades al-khem without a doubt imo. I understand if u haven't handled it, it can't make the list.
@@dinner_workingsly sorry, all "hail" broke loose and I missed your comment.. I'm considering opening preorders, but if not, there will be ongoing batches and more Veyrons to come either way.. Thanks! 🤗
It's because of this channel that I have spent a grand in last 3 days on 3 pocket knives.😐 😆 Just ordered the new DLC Momo with Purple Haze Carbon fiber and S45VN last night . One left on White Mountain Knives peeps.
Did you not understand that the whole reason i chose kunwu to work with in the first place was because I already had that opinion of them? Was i supposed to work with a company i DIDNT think was one of, if not the VERY best all the way around? I had my pick of companies... I CHOSE Kunwu. It's not fluff. They are the best knife company right now. Pure effort, pure integrity. This was an honest decision. Trying real hard to find a complicated answer when the real one is simple. Big Reddit energy with this take.
Man I really enjoy your content but come on....most of these knives are collector pieces and no one in their right mind would EDC majority of these knives. Every-day-carry isn't going to be some super polished super clean knife.
Lmao! When he has as many knives as he does that would be considered EDC as he does how many knives do you think he can carry everyday? lol I have a teeny tiny fraction of the knives he owns and the couple of knives that I EDC I keep well maintained and clean.
joelamaro4525 congratulations same here. If I worked in a nice pretty office then maybe but as a steel mill worker not one knife he showed would be an EDC that I could keep in good working condition. I have over 50 mid to high end knives(over $13k worth) and my new EDC is microtech ludt 3 and benchmade CLA magnacut.
Depends what you do for work I guess. I don't have a labor intensive job that requires cutting shit in a dirty grimy environment all day, so I EDC whatever I want from spydercos to Shiros and everything in between. This isn't a channel that only focuses on beater knives for people that don't want to spend more than $50 on a knife. His content is mostly for enthusiasts and collectors that want to know about cool knives.
I totally understand what you mean about a high end user that's easily maintained like a hinderer project x, or a sebenza, but Metal Complex is a collector, not a user. He handles alot of knives like he reminds us all the time, but he doesn't have a clue about really using them in rough environments. I recommend the Hard On Gear channel or maybe Doodys Daggers. One guy is a smoke jumper, the other is a welder. Cheers

Thanks
My knives of the year that I could actually buy this year was the Microtech Amphibian and the Kizer Militaw!
Have you been liking the Militaw?
I will catch a carbon fiber DLC version one day.
@orange_sensei yes, excellent in materials, blade, action, size and price.
The swordfish really needs a dagger blade shape

the end year list is fun but a best list based on blade type would be nice.
I aprecite your views on the list. You would carry the Veyron over the 8ight tho, right? Between you and me.
Definitely want the Veyron but it’s sold out says coming soon but then it says dropping in October 🤷♂️. I guess all I can do is wait
I can’t believe you put the Kershaw bel air on this list I am surprised I love it🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hey MC -- re the swordfish, can the blade be flipped around for use by lefties?
I’m lost. It’s a symmetrical gravity otf. It operates the same left or right. Am I missing something? 😂

Not a huge fan of winterblade. They are cool though
Is it their aesthetics because I've gone to buy one, and I've backed out. I never handled one.
The Veyron just needs to have a 1/2 inch longer blade, and be a tanto
Then I’d buy one, even if I had to sell a kidney to do it!
