What I Wish I Knew Before Buying a Modular Motorcycle Helmet!

- During todays ride I talk about why I purchased the LS2 Valliant Helmet Modular helmet. Like most things as a new rider, I just didn't do enough research into what I wanted or needed in a helmet. For the most part I 'm happy with the helmet, with two major downsides. The heavy weight and how loud it is. My favourite part the the full 180 degree chin bar.
Modular is the best after riding with full face, half and open face. Not to mention no helmet. You made a good choice. I would not consider any other style anymore. The weather is nicer there than here. Be safe
@@dustyhobomotoadventure The weather has turned for the worst? Snow or rain?
@@SpokedInTheEyeMoto Thick fog hard too see anything.
Yeah, that would make for very dangerous riding.
IMO only, a full face helmet is the only helmet that will protect the head and face in a crash. I am not taking any chances as an older new rider. My Shoei has been great.
@@Ghostrider-71 I’ve been wondering how the chinbar on my helmet might stand up in a crash. I’m looking at full face options now.
