This is nice. I like seeing setups like this. Much more realistic than these $100k plus dedicated rooms that only a handful of people can afford.
I lived in an apartment for a while while my house was being built. I learned at that time that most apartments are built with paper-thin walls. Most are so thin that "I", on most nights, woke up from my neighbor snoring! .... I can just imagine how AWARE you gotta be with a system of that size..... TODAY, I can watch a movie at ANY volume and bass level I WANT in my house and NO ONE hears ANYTHING!!! MY personal advice, If you LOVE watching movies and listening to music as much I think you do, THAT alone would prompt ME to find a house. It all really revolves around how forgiving your neighbors are though. Personally, I just could not STAND hearing all the crap that went on at all my neighbors apartments. THIS is why "I" love being in a house. BTW -- VERY NICE system!!!!
Thanks again that’s the goal a new home my wife and I are saving away trust me. And I lucked up because this is a townhouse and shockingly I haven’t heard my neighbors not once so I lucked up in this case. Even before my neighbors moved in the guys fixing the place let me go into my neighbors house and I had my wife blasted a movie loud and surprisingly I heard nothing so god Is good they have great walls here.

About time.....I got tired of scrolling through YT & seeing 60 yr old men with massive DEDICATED home theater basements with expensive homes they brought 20 yrs ago 😂. Most 🇺🇸 live in the cities & apts.

That’s the plan, the wife and I aren’t taking any trips this year to be sure we save the maximum amount of money we can to get this home. That’s the ultimate goal for us.
My friend went with 4xRP-6000F for his fronts and rears, the RP-10" sub with receiver, a couple of older Klipsch bookshelves and a Martin Logan center channel because he couldn't fit the Klipsch into his space. The Martin Logan was the previous version of the Motion 50, I think s the star of his system. It was the last thing he purchased, he's thinking about running some Martin Logan fronts and using the 6000F for surrounds but he rarely listens to music so it just might be a nice pair of Klipsch classics for fronts.
Yeah I was thinking about getting the rp 8000f for my front and moving the 6000f to the surround backs but I’m still in the air about that.
@@StevetheTechBro That's what I was thinking for his set up initially, he bought 4 6000s though. I think the best bet is to go with Heritage speakers, their quality is well above the consumer division and should blend with the other Klipsch components.
Nice setup! I like how you did that with a smaller space. Im using a spare bedroom for my setup so Im in the same boat but like you i made the most of it.
It looks amazing! Can't wait to see where you go from there. Also.. if you do get an amplifier.. my suggestion. Get something with about the same power as your AVR is giving if not (this happened to me) your gonna realize how amazing your amplified speakers sound and end up going completely with separates because the sound difference is noticeable and it might bug you. That's my two cents.. have a great one!
Your absolutely right that was my worry. I was thinking should I go 5 amped speakers so I can do the whole front stage? atleast so the other ones wouldn’t sound so noticeable weaker.
@@StevetheTechBro make sure your avr allows it.. some dont. They either go two channel amp or all channels. If they can go 5 channel amps thats awesome.. mines didnt so that was really frustrating.

Niceee KOOL! I have a Klipsch setup also RP-280f’s & the massive RC-64iii.for side & rear’s & heights i have the RP-500sa’s & 3 SPL-120 sub’s. They are connected to my Onkyo TX-RZ840 with a Emotiva XPA3 for the front stage & Basx A4 for the side & rear’s! Yoo this hobby is a drug lol! Enjoy
Bro it really is, I’m thinking of getting BasX A4 for my front left and right and for my first set of height Atmos speakers. Or might go A5 and power my front stage and my first set of heights
@@StevetheTechBro Emotiva has a sale going on now until the end of the month. You could get the A3 for your front stage & the A4 for your side’s & rear heights and let your AVR power your front height. That’s what i did.

I was just wondering have you thought of removing the centre channel glass shelf then lowering the centre channel down onto the cabinet. Which will then allow the TV to be positioned a whole foot lower.
Just a thought there's nothing like a perfect Line of Sight... especially if you're going to get the G3

Oh I definitely had it that way at first with my old couch set up. But that couch was taller so the center channel was to low so I purchased those standsto lift the sound and trust me in person that makes the difference.

My setup is in the basement my back row is about 11 feet away 82 inch Samsung love it. I also have a tripod stand 100 inch screen with projector same seating distance I use for a more theater feel. It feeling like be in a real movie experience.
Get the Onkyo RZ50 and enjoy some amazing surround sound to complement that big Samsung screen
I really wanna get that Onkyo TX-RZ50! Did you do a full Dirac calibration? If so, did you use a quality mic like the UMIK-1? I heard that makes a big difference.
I did do the full Dirac calibration and I did purchase the UMIK-1 but it’s still fresh in the box. I used the standard mic that came with it for now. For this isn’t my final set up because again this is an apartment. I do plan on moving soon so I plan to have a dedicated man cave or full basement or a stand-alone room just for home theater. Once that happens the gloves are coming off lol! I’m going all in
@@StevetheTechBro oh so you just bought the UMIK-1? I used it for the Dirac calibration on my parents' Pioneer LX-505 and it did a much better job than using the factory Pioneer mic. I was amazed how good their 30-year old Bose speakers sound now with Dirac LOL. My Mom was like --- "did you buy us new speakers?" 🤣

First time I ran into your channel. Nice setup. I live in a apartment for over 30 years and always had a home theater. Nice to know younger people taken a interest in this hobby because I usually see people in their 50's and 60s in this hobby my age group.I like your setup because that is the same one I have except I have a Yamaha instead of a Onkeyo and Mirage speakers. I also have towers as my back channel . I am looking for a house also so I hope you can get one soon too. I am looking for a house because I have over 500 DVDs and CDs and need the space
Sorry to be rude but Yahama receivers are garbage. Get a Dirac-enabled AVR like the Onkyo RZ50 and enjoy good surround sound.

Thanks man much appreciated, my father was super into home theater so it was only right that I’d love it to lol! Man I pray you get your home as well, the housing market is trash but I know it will happen soon for the both of so stay encouraged, I’ll keep your process in my prayers.
Fronts could use more separation. For home theater you should have a minimum of 7 ft separation but ideally the same distance from the screen to your MLP. You should also have your towers a minimum of 1 ft away from any surface such as the back wall, TV stand etc, speakers need breathing room and it makes a big difference in sound quality. Also your subwoofer placement probably isn't ideal as up front next to the towers is typically not where you'll get the best room response even though it looks the best. I'm sure you're familiar with the subwoofer crawl method, I would definitely recommend that. Also you should have some feet on your center, it looks like you just have it sitting on the glass shelf which is a terrible idea. It needs to be isolated from the surface. Nice setup though.

@@StevetheTechBro No problem! Just search "subwoofer crawl method". Essentially what you do is put your subwoofer on your sofa where you usually sit when you watch movies. Then you TH-cam "bass sweep test" and play the sweep while you crawl around with your head at the level that your subwoofer is at when it sits on the ground. I don't actually crawl around, I just play the sweep with my head at floor level in all of the various places that I could put the subwoofer. Wherever the bass sounds the best while you do this is where you want to put your subwoofer. It will make a gigantic difference-You're going to be blown away! Let me know how it works out for you.

Same as you when it comes to the consoles. Got my ps5 and Xbox one x. Love your set up my space is quite small too. Got the 4 atmos too but I got my speakers hooked on the ceiling.
P.s i think your tv is too high up. Meant to be eye level with middle of the screen. Please don't take offense just trying to advise as I used to have my tv way up like that when I lowered it, it was a lot better.
Yeah I want to do that with my height speakers as well does it sound better? What brand do you have and is in on the ceiling or hanging height sort of. And I agree with you as well I’m getting a 77 inch soon and in order to clear my front stage I’ll have to put it about that high as well.
I love near-field HT. This is more like near-field to mid-field but still. Kudos for you for using on-wall/on-ceiling height speakers at the 30 degree angle. Such a friggin cool setup. I love it. Even sounded great through YT!
Also, I would recommend spacing your L+R further out and still facing the MLP. Maybe even getting that left channel on the left side of your shoe rack and pushing your shoe rack up to the HT console and then mimicking the same movement in your right channel to match.

When that car exploded felt it. Mad setup 😊. Look into getting a buttkicker for home theater. Looking to buy the new version. Old one is good but it cuts off when it over heats.

Great setup! Some theater feedback. You want your LEFT and Right Towers equal distance from each other and your main listenning position. this is called the Triangle Rule for speakers. That way you can put your sub on the other side of the right tower speaker. Your placement of your rears is way less important as your front sound stage since very minimal sound is played thru them during a movie or show. I have heard some fantastic 3.1 setups that I preferred over 5.1.4 or 7.2.4 like I have in my dedicated theater. I would put some acoustic foam or rubber acoustic feet on your center channel and get it off that glass shelf. that glass is vibrating for sure when playing movies/shows. Great setup! a few tweaks and it will be even better! Also invest in a SPL meter and level match all your speakers.

Get the RP-1400 when it goes on sale for $699 again! When you move of course lol. I have the RP-1200 in my apartment and I cant even push it past like 50% without pissing people off
Yeah I just brought the RP 1000 and now I’m like man I really can’t even cut this baby up lol. But they go deep in sound so I know the 1200 kicks the door down lol
when you get your home I can't stress this enough get rid of that AV receiver get a preamp and a amplifier and it's nice that you put your height speakers up high on the wall not on the ceiling people will argue this over and over but height speakers for Dolby Atmos is way better than in the ceiling because if you know anything about speaker imaging you're going to direct that imaging directly toward the floor with ceiling speakers . Stay with height speakers as far up on the walls you can get . The only time you should use ceiling speakers for a Dolby Atmos system is if you have a ceiling that's like 20 ft high . Also if it's in your means I would seriously upgrade to a projector .

To be honest the seating distance versus screen size is subjective, it's more of a preference. I'm sitting around 9' to 10' away from my 85" Sony TV and 120" projector screen.
I do the same thing. I just wrote a similar comment.

Very true indeed. Let me correct my self by saying I’d rather have my 83 inch G3 and my 4K projector once I have my dedication man cave/ home set up. That way I can be as creative as possible with things.

If your talking about what I have the center channel on. I brought two laptop raisers to lift the center channel to my listening ear.

I was thinking about getting one but I use plex on my Xbox so i had no need to get it. Because outside of plex I use my Apple TV for everything else

I lucked up the walls aren’t thin so I actually never hear my neighbors unless their out the front of our townhouse
I dont know what to do, I am trying to figure out how important is atmos for me.... My designated area is also very small and honestly, I feel I can do with out atmos. Right now I have 5.1, am upgrating to the 8060 series klipsch . A/V supports 7.2. no atmos. I honestly do not want to get another A/V. I am considering using the other two sides I dont plan to use as cealing.... your thoughts?
I can honestly say do what’s best for your home theater. If Atmos isn’t important to you right now that’s perfectly fine. In the end you happy to be happy with your sound. I say get it when you’re ready no rush Atmos isn’t going any where just yet. There’s plenty of 7.2 even 5.2 avrs that sound great without Atmos. And when you’re ready to get a new receiver just make sure it’s future proof and has all the bell and whistles. Thanks for watching my channel, and I’m always happy to give feedback back thanks!

Hi, I have 2 jbl stage A135c center speakers vertical on the wall each side my tv. I also have 3 floor standing speakers in 3 corners, front left front right and back left corner.. I have 2 subs and 2 bookshelf.. my avr reciever denon AVR-X1700H.. I cannot have 1 center speaker above or below my tv so I need help trying to set these up best way possible.. I was thinking about using the back left or front right floorstanding speakers jbl stage A190 as a center? And use surround L/R for both my jbl A135c center speakers. Do you have any suggestions that may help

After reading it again I understand what your talking about. If I understood you correctly you’re using your A135 as your center speakers now? But you said you’re also willing to use a tower speaker as a center correct. If so why can’t you take you A135 speakers and put them as your center under your screen and just build a shelf? And keep the other speakers in their place and use them as your front left and right and the other as you surround back.

@@MK-rn2hm I’ve never had a complaint, the sound proofing where I stay is very good. I’ve never heard my neighbors since I moved here unless they’re out front of their townhouse. I’ve even tested it out once while the old neighbors moved out, the guys came to fix until the unit next door for the next neighbors. So I turned my system up very loud and they let me go next door with them and I didn’t hear a thing. I lucked up here to God be the glory!
