Nice media setup! I should have asked the builders to allow me to run the wire when building. Great idea!
Thanks. Yeah. They didn't even make a fuzz about it. All I had to do was sign a waiver for any damage or injury they would not be responsible.
Lovely space! Learned a lot I can use :)
No matter how good a projector you have, painting the feature wall light grey can make a huge difference in picture quality.
Totally. For me, it was a balance between function and aesthetics. Putting up grey for that section will take away from the aesthetics. Since it is not a space we use on a daily basis. Just for the occasional viewing. For a dedicated media room for sure w you want to dial down as much as possible.
I used to be all about the digital, streaming, and wireless ONLY setup, but lately my standards have changed and I've gone back to physical media and a wired/ wireless hybrid setup.
To elaborate, I have physical media as far as 4k blu-ray movies go and vinyl records for music I enjoy and know I'm willing to re-listen to or re- watch countless times. I also have a wired setup for my music and cinema stations for better quality of sound.
I still use digital, free streaming sources, and wireless options for music and movies digitally on the go in case I don't have access to internet, free streaming sources for music in case I want to listen to something new and determine if I want to buy it in vinyl or not, and wireless options for IoT devices around the house lights, speakers, cameras, air purfiers, etc.
The result is if lights or internet decided to go out or if I wanted to unplug from things I can and still be able to enjoy what I have physically and digitally stored in my home, I'm able to enjoy things on the go, and I'm able to enjoy other things without the hassle or clutter.
I save money as well not having to pay for all of these monthly subscriptions and I get the best quality for my entertainment.
I agree with you. The subscription is starting to get out of hand. You also the benefit lossless audio/video quality from the blue ray which is better not the compressed quality we get from online streaming. That’s why I still have my Plex server that stores all my media locally so even in the event of Internet outage I am still good.
@@TyDaSpace If I'm being completely honest though. Idk where you're from, but in America, I miss the 90s where you could go rent a movie, have get togethers, meet at the bars for pay per view, go to the movies and look forward to a good movie, go to a concert and look forward to a great concert and crowd, go on vacation and look forward to theme parks and camping, etc, go to a high school or college football, basketball, volleyball game, and see cheer leaders and marching bands and have a great time. Look forward to actual great cartoons that were funny or taught you something morally. Go to an arcade and actually have a blast with quality gaming. Like this era honestly does not bring me any kind of spontaneous joy unless you create it for yourself. Other wise youre just enjoying the rinse and repeat schemes of these big companies.
Great job! Is there a video on the audio setup? Also, I would've opted for blackout curtains. It would've solved the problem of light seeping in. Cheers!
Loved it simple minimical and pleasing to look at
What the screen size and viewing distance. My room has 9 feet viewing distance but not sure if 100 inch will be too big
Very nice set up
Optical over hdmi?
so nice!
Thanks ed 😃😃
Very nice. How does the Apple TV get around not having to set up another Netflix account?
The Apple TV blocks tracking unlike all the other streaming boxes. So Netflix cannot tell the location of my box.
😍
Nice job.
Thanks :D
🙏🏿👊🏿
Just bought a 100” TV, blows any of those projectors out the water. I got rid of mine on face book
That must have costed a fortune. A display panel will always be better than projector but the price per inch for tv makes it not an option for many people to go to those sizes. But it is getting more affordable
Apple TV remains the best
absolutely, looking to eventually replace all my fire sticks
