Hi new subscriber. Loving your content. I have about 90+ plants and started using Systemic granular; game changer with the gnats. All you need plants get sprayed with a fungicide, systemic in the soil, then into clear plastic bags for 3-4 wks. I haven't lost a plant yet. I tried the mosquito bits also. Good luck, keep moving forward. You are awesome ☺️.

For LiquiDirt, go stronger than you think. After a few months, some of my plants did start to get a little chlorotic. Made my fert water stronger and haven't had any issues since. For me, 2.5mL of the concentrate per gallon of water works like a dream. I just use a medicine dropper to add it in.

I don't know if you've tried pinguicula plants for your fungus gnat problem, but I've never had problems since I got a few in my grow space. Very easy (just keep them sitting in a saucer of water) and they work really well.

The liq dirt seems like my plants were dingy green I think the brown in the liq dirt was changing the color of the leaves

First time watching a video by you. Really liked it. Can you please say why you want to move all your plants to nursery pots? I have been accumulating plants for many years now, and have a hodge-podge of pots. Currently considering how to move forward on the pots/cachepots issue so any insight from you is appreciated.

Hi! I’m slowly moving them into the white nursery pots mainly for aesthetic purposes; I eventually want all white pots in the plant room 😅. The other benefit is that these white pots have many holes in the bottom-more than most nursery pots-so it helps with air circulation for the roots and helps the soil dry faster. These pots are also very thin, so in combination with a chunky soil mix, they do help aerate the soil a lot!

How large does the Birkin plant get?

What are the causes of the leaves turning yellow on the philodendron birkin? I am guessing too much water?

    • @SuchPlants

Could be many reasons. If it’s 1 random yellow leaf, the plant may just be shedding leaves it doesn’t need. If it’s many yellow leaves starting from the base to the top, then the plant is not getting water or nutrients, and there could be a problem with the roots. If yellowing from the top of the plant, then it might be getting too much light. If the plant is yellowing all over, there could be a pest infestation. Other reasons include nutrient deficiency which is complex, as you would then need to feed it certain nutrients (which is too scientific for me 😁). These are just general tips for any plant. Hope it helps! 😊🌱
