Great to see your Nicks dress looking fabulous. It’s a pattern I couldn’t resist even though it’s probably going to test my skills and patience. I’ve restarted sewing after a very long break (I used to make my children’s clothes and they’re grown up now) and making things fit is learning curve for me. I’m a cardmaker and crafter and love creating stuff although knitting and crochet are beyond me, so I love your beautiful stuffed toys. Thanks for all your inspiration and send Christmas wishes to you all x

I love both of your dresses, they are stunning. I have the Taika Dress pattern, but when I noted it was drafted for a person 5'8" tall, it rather put me off, since I am only 5'5", also the short sleeves, since I have a beautiful Fabric Godmother viscose twill to sew it with. Since your lengthened sleeves worked fine, I will go for it after Christmas, along with all the other sews I have planned ...
Thank you! I was the same with the Taika I’m 5’ 3” so it took a bit of shortening for me too. I shortened from the bottom up of each pattern piece it took a little while but at least it’s right now x

I love watching your videos, they are so relaxing! I love to see all the dresses you make, many I would love to make myself but don't have the time or the occasion to wear them! I also love hearing about the books you are reading. I'm curious to know, if you don't mind me asking, which model of Janome sewing machine do you have and if you would recommend it? I love the Janome I have but I'm thinking it might be time for an upgrade 😏. Thanks so much and have a great Christmas 😊

Can you please share what size you went with for the Nicks dress? I'm planning to make it but I keep hearing it has a lot of ease and yours looks just perfect. 😊
It was the smallest size. Check the finished garment measurements not just your body size for this one xx
Which sewing machine have you got Sally ? Would you recommend it. I have the Janome7025. It’s a beginner machine really although it works well for me except the buttonhole function is now broken and not repairable. I have a lovely janome 2000 air thread overlocker. I want to upgrade my sewing machine and not spend more than 1500, preferably less. I am not really a quilter or embroiderer, but I’d like a machine that will last me 20 yrs if possible so I don’t grow out of it. I love my janome machines but am also drawn to pfaff because of the walkimg foot thing. Do you recommend your machine ?
I have a Janome atelier 6 it should be listed in the video description if you want to look it up. I love it I would definitely recommend. I bought it because it has a walking foot included and at the time I did a lot of quilting I think the walking foot option is good to have for dressmaking too I’ve used with thick fabrics when making coats and sweatshirts too. I looked at Pfaff when I was looking into buying this one but went for Janome because I was more familiar with the brand I hope that helps a bit x
