We did the Solstice in AK last year. I am glad that you are liking it! We were in an aft corner Sky Suite and went to Blu for dinner one night. Our service was slow in there too so we stuck with Luminae and Tuscan Grill. I'm glad that you cleared up the $9.95 room service issue. Disappointing that they went to $9.95 all day instead of just the 11:00pm to 6:00am thing. I'll have to update a couple of my videos. Enjoy your cruise! I am a big fan of your channel and I'm curious on how you end up comparing this to your Edge Class adventures!
OH!! And here's a video idea for you...we figured out this last time that being in Aqua Class...one of the best perks is being able to go into the Persian Garden whenever you want of course. That is the best place to be at for any of the port sail aways. There generally isn't anyone in there at sail away because they're out doing other stuff. So you get a peaceful heated chair to watch the ship leave wherever you are. Not to mention a really great full window view that's all your own!

So glad to hear about Solstice. We are going to Alaska on her this summer. Our last two trips to Alaska have been on the Millennium. So we are looking forward to a nice change. (Not that we didn’t like Millie.) But, solstice has Murano, a particular favorite of mine. 😋

All good to know! Sailing on the sister ship (Silhouette) tomorrow out of Miami. Excited from all of the reviews. It was refurbished completely in 2020, and appears to be lovely. We got a last minute deal on concierge class so we are excited (19 years since our last cruise).
The Silhouette has a special place in my heart. Love that ship. We got to go on the bridge on that ship once! Have a great time. Wow 19 years - the seas have been waiting for you.

We did 8 day cruise on Celebrity Solstice from Sydney to Vanuartu,3 islands were tenders,well organised service,had beverage package,well worth it,balcony cabin & Ships amenities' great.the port you sailed from was San-Pedro/LA, we stopped there, on Norwegian Pearl,similar size ship,highly reconmend her,unlike 'hiddeose "mega-ships",now on line!
Hi Zach! Great information. I’m working my schedule to sail on Solstice. Just an FYI, I’m not sure about the rest of your cruise but it typically gets warmer as you go south. However, with the crazy weather, not sure what you experienced. If you go in the summer to early fall, it will be HOT! Take care!
So gald your pn a west coast trip and on one of the older ships. About your Starlink, if your in a port that has a large population, the interferance is terrible. Starlink was made to be on the ocean and work well there. Being on the older ship will give you great differences between what was and what is on the Edge class chips. Happy Sailing.
I hope you saw some whales! There is nothing like seeing those majestic creatures in the wild. Celebrity has changed some of her itineraries to ensure their safety and I love that! Thanks a bunch
I'm always in awe when I see flat water like that. I'll never forget when we took a 4 day Triumph out of New Orleans in 2016 to Cozumel and back. ALL four days the water was flat as glass. I'd taken a friend on her first cruise and she said if she'd known cruising was that smooth she'd done it along time ago! It was definitely an anomaly. Hopefully your whale watching excursion was eventful.
It looks like you got on celebrity solstice right when I was getting off after three weeks in aqua class on her. She is still such a beautiful ship and the crew on board are the best ❤️
Zach, not all aqua class cabins on deck 11 have the support beams, only in he middle part of the ship. We were in 1538 on deck 11 and no support beam there. Our cabin was loser to the front.

Well, I am suppose to be on the Reflection in Sept... NOT a very good sign that service was somewhat slow for breakfast... The food reviews in Blu and Ocean View Buffet from other have been disappointing. I am very close to canceling the Sept cruise if food and service are not improved. Celebrity from what I have been hearing has gone too far in cutbacks. I have been on close to 30 Celebrity Cruises, and the reviews lately have been extremely disturbing. I hope your Blu reviews and Ocean View Buffet for lunch are good.
Oceanview was always amazing. I’m planning to do another video on all the changes people have noticed and how that compares to my experience. Food was always great and no complaints from me.
You got the afternoon canapes?!? We just came off the Reflection in Aqua Class and were told that they stopped doing that across the whole line. We were super sad about that, always enjoyed those! Our friends went on the Summit a few weeks ago and had the same experience. So I'm glad you got those! Yeah it's a bummer about the room service fee thing - we used to use room service a lot and kinda stopped because of that. BUT if one wants to pay the room service fee - one of the best kept secrets on Celebrity was that the room service pizza is even better than what is up in the buffet. Not sure if that's still the case, we didn't try it this last time. If you're late night hungry, give it a shot and see. 🙂
Sorry to hear that. I got them most of the days. Some days I had my Do Not Disturb sign out. I’ll definitely have to try the pizza trick on my next cruise. Never knew about that!

She likely had some revamping then but she hasn’t had the larger “Revolutionized” treatment where the whole ship is updated.
