I rate Colin Veijer's Moto3 double save at Mandalika pretty highly. Man lost the front, and then the rear, saved both of them.

Some good saves there. Martin ~ you would feel a bit silly pulling off an almost impossible save like that, and then tripping over something on the way to your chair in the pits.
Marc ~ yeah, he still hasn't forgotten how this works. And Pedro ~ the class and potential of this young man is extraordinary. It just hasn't quite come together yet. And now KTM are going bust. They say the racing is not effected but ~ I don't see how that can be true.
I thought Jack Miller had drawn the short straw and got a real tough break, but the way this is turning out, Jack may have just dodged a bullet. The move to a Yamaha satellite team may just be the best thing that could possibly have happened. The one thing he needs now, is an electronics / traction control engineer who understands him and knows his job. I myself think that has been a weakness in Jack's career so far. He needs somebody who can set up that Webber Marelli kit properly, and I don't know that he's ever had that person. Jack has speed, has tactics, has all the tools, but he can't manage tyres. Is that a weakness of his riding style? Or is that something about the way the TC is set? I don't think he's ever had a TC technician who can set that unit up in a way Jack likes and can work with, and still not destroy the rear tyre by 2/3 race distance. Yeah ~ rider style and technique come into this too, but I think the real weakness has been Webber Marelli and the ability of the technician / race engineer who tunes it.
Yes, I am looking for somebody / something else to blame, because I'm sick of watching Jack fall down the order late in the race because his tyre is destroyed. And I'm sick of fielding questions about how Jack is just no good. Jack races MotoGP these days, not dirt track. So Jack got home for Christmas and the final round of the Australian dirt track championships hadn't been run, so he signed up. The final heat, the championship decider, Jack won it ~ easily. That doesn't make him the champion ~ there were five or six other events before this one, which he wasn't at, but against the cream of the Australian dirt / flat-track field, after a not great start, after being very careful and very fair and very safe in his overtakes, Jack put nearly a second a lap on the top 4 to close in and win the race going away. TLDR ~ The boy can ride. There is no question the boy can ride a bike, and he is fast.

Huge respect for these athletes that can do such things. However I’d ban that manoeuvre to pick up the bike with elbow and knee, it cost Marco’s life. You never know how the grip will direct the bike.
