Unfortunately, it might never be covered because for Western media, the lives of people in the so-called third world country like Myanmar matter less than the lives of white people in a first world country like Ukraine.

Ultimately people don't really care as long as the government/society is run smoothly. My UK and Chinese family both have houses/land in Hong Kong and Shanghai and they split their year between the various countries. They are quite indifferent to what the government does, they see everything around them is prospering and that's all they care about. From the few international students from China I've met, they seem to echo the same sentiment.

i remember when Xi came to power, peoples opinions are divided, some think Xi would crush the new Maoist faction and go for a more democratic ideology, others worried that he will gain full control of power and became dictator. But later it became clear he hates anything western, and just a die hard communist. The anti-corruption campaign is just a mean to eradicate every opponents
