On 1st June 2024, I trainspotted at Wimbledon.
Wimbledon is in South-West London. The train operators that go here are: South Western Railway (SWR), Thameslink, and London Underground District Line trains. London Tram services also go here. Wimbledon railway station has 10 platforms in total. It is a bit big. I managed to record all the train/tram operators that go here. Yes, you will also see London Tram services in this video. Just to inform you all, there are only very few Thameslink and London Tram services in this video.
Wimbledon is a very chaotic station with trains. There were so many trains. There were stopping and passing trains at this station. There were so many South Western Railway (SWR) trains going to or from London Waterloo station. Thameslink services were going to or from London Blackfriars and Sutton. The amount of trains were excellent. However, the view of trains on certain platforms were not the best. Especially the District Line, passing SWR trains, and the London Tram services. This is because there are a lot of fences blocking. I was also told by the staff that I should only film the trains, not the train station. That doesn’t usually happen to me. You have to be careful filming trains at Wimbledon. This was filmed on Saturday 1st June 2024 during midday.
The following sentences are my own opinion of Wimbledon station. I have feelings of ambivalence of Wimbledon station. (Meaning I have mixed feelings about this station, positive feelings and negative feelings.) The frequency of the trains are marvellous. There are an amazing variety of trains here at Wimbledon. However, some of the fences can block the view of some trains. I can tell that the staff are the type of people who are quite strict with recording the trains. Please keep in mind, this is all my own opinion of this.
