As for the mini, definitely not the right size for a wood yard. But I must say, everytime you run it, it impresses me. I'm actually shocked at what all you have lifted with it.

Good info here. You need to develop a process with less handling. Like tossing the splits into a tractor bucket rather than just another pile on the ground, which you have to lift and move. Think minimum lifting. As a 70 year-old guy with a sketchy back, minimizing lifting is a priority...

People probably need to realize that these Chinese machines are basic machines but if you have some mechanical ability some tinkering around you can make them run pretty well the hydraulic thumb not being one the joy stick makes bonkers especially when you are use to running bigger machines alot of times they set pressures low another cool informative video especially on the bypass valve I think increasing the bypass pressure would help with the hold material

The issue of the hydraulic circuits leaking down pressure will be the same whether the engine is running or not. The clearance between the bores in the directional control valve body and the spools (the part of that moves inside the valve body) precision ground clearance fit that is metal to metal. Due to design and operational limitations o-rings and/or seals cannot be used internally between the porting of the valve body and the lands on the spool. Therefore some bypass leakage is always going to be present. In higher end and more expensive machines check valves are incorporated in the circuit to block the circuit and eliminate the potential for that bypass leakage. Those components in their added expense and complexity are not viable in an inexpensive piece of equipment like this.
