Wild Camping In The Cairngorms

- My first wild camp of 2023 and this one was in a stunning woodland in Glen Feshie in The Cairngorms.
Due to high winds in the higher mountains I decided to explore some of the lower sections of The Cairngorms and found the perfect spot for an amazing camp.

It was stunning, the whole area is just amazing so looking forward to getting back there with the storm bivvy in the snow.
Going to the cairgorms first wild camp of the year in Feb UK have stopped wild camping altogether us real campers leave no trace respect the land Scotland is fantastic place for proper wild camp experience probably go back in summer midges will be there take face net and spray great video

It's funny the two places I have been thinking about recently is Creag Meagaidh and Glen Feshie then your videos have popped up 😂 I've never been up that way I've always just walked to the far end of the Glen. Looks nice up there.
Both places are stunning, Creag Meagaidh is now one of my favourite places. I can't wait to get a camp done in the snow as both places are just stunning 😍
Great video glad I came across the channel. I'm looking to do a camp in the area in a couple of weeks and someone actually mentioned Glen Feshie because I'm looking for a forest area with a stream / burn. Thanks for sharing.
It's absolutely stunning there. The river was only about 50 yards from the tent. Enjoy your trip.
Looked like a nice spot but a pity the bothy was full, as bothies go, its the most 'sumptuous' I've been to. The owner did a cracking job on its refurb, its worth a visit if you can make it. Me and my mate were lucky enough to have it to ourselves a few years back in atrocious conditions. Glad you had a good night out mate, I've still to make it out this year.
I hope you get out soon, I had heard the bothy is amazing so planning another trip when I can 🏕

I don't want to over egg it but that is one cracking bothy. Its the one I'd take my missus to, to try and get her into it as it has an outside toilet.

The Starlight is an absolute beast, I love mine! And considering it's tested to withstand like 44 m/s winds, I'm sure you would be perfectly safe in it if you put it up in the open too - but then the question would still be if you would've been able to sleep 😂
It's a great tent but as you say when it is really windy I get no sleep which is why I have tended to sleep in a bivvy over the last few trips. I have just bought a storm bivvy so looking forward to trying it out.
