It is because the vast majority of the ones you see in the day are not Goths at all but fancy dress folk that are mockery of Goths and the festival it self

Hi Kim- perfect place for the Goth Festival! I haven’t been to one before- it was great to see the costumes and props too! The ruins are a classic backdrop. Nice to see the surfers and the sailing ship too. Did you dress up? Maybe if I went a few times I’d be more comfortable to get into costume- lol. Enjoyed you pics! Happy Sunday! 😄☀☀👍👍
