Yes, a buzzbait video would be great. I like the line tie eye, twisted in a circle instead of wide open so my line doesn't move up and down the wire. Take off the skirt and put on a soft plastic. BOOM !!! Thanks Debo. ✌️😎🎣
Thanks for the video. I have thrown them for years and caught some slobs on them here in SC. For anybody that hasn’t had luck with them just keep slinging the shit out of it and you will eventually get hit and then your confidence will come. I have used them at night, in the morning, rain,wind,overcast middle of day, open water, along the bank you name it. Just don’t give up and if you want a PB it’s a great way to get one. I mainly use a 1/2 oz cause I can send it and cover way more water with a zoom split tail trailer and I usually put a stinger on it with #65 pound braid and a heavy rod. It may sound over kill and a lot of people use lighter set ups but when that big one hits the first thought I have is what’s my set up? Hope this helps somebody

By the way that flat head is so you can have the blade hit it and make a knocking sound. You can just bend the top arm down a little and you will hear blade knock knock knock as you reel it in. Sometimes that extra noise is great but then if you dont want all that just bend up a little and knock goes away. You have to experiment with it.
I landed my first 3 buzzbait fish this spring! I had 8 blow-ups on the bait, but only managed to hook 3 of the fish. Not sure if they were hitting the blade or swimbait trailer, but they were somehow missing the hook! I know I wasn't pulling the bait away from them because I waited until I could feel the fish rather than setting the hook when I saw the strike.

Debo the universe is telling you something with that kayak launch in front of you! Get a kayak! It will open you up to so much more fishable water. A lot of em can car top and and lot easier to launch than your aluminum boat.

If i could catch just 3 fish out of the amount you have caught in this video alone would be a good day for me. The lake I have to fish is tough. Not much structure and they love to school deep. So when they come to the bank I feel lucky.

I love a buzzbait and been fishing them a long time over any other topwater bait. I use a mh fast with braid for all 3/8oz or bigger. I just about always throw a skirted model and always without a trailer hook. I hook and land 8 or 9 of 10 with a buzzbait. It's a timing thing like a frog. 😊
@@castandchill sometimes but not often. I've had way more bites and catches on a skirted model. But even when I do use say a paddle tail, creature or frog as the trailer with no skirt I don't use a trailer hook. Trailer hooks tend to catch a ton of grass, vegetation and also tend to hang in wood when coming over a limb.
that’s the head knocker buzz bait i work for crockogator and make the buzz baits. it’s supposed to hit the head subtly so you have to tweak it every now and then the get it to “tink”off the head
Do you modify or have any buzzbait tricks? I've started bending my rivet and the back of the blade at an angle. I also scuff the contact points with rough sand paper. They squeak like crazy!
Topwater bjte has been awful this season. … buzzbait, choppo, walking baits all zero so far and only 3 on a frog. …. Great video. Topwater videos are sweet
I've used buzz baits on a few ponds (black n blue) never had luck -- same with a plopper. But when I throw a popper during the morning in my area it's a different story
I've been trying flouro recently and even a copolymer from different brands and eventually I cast and my knot comes completely apart. Don't have this issue with mono or braid so not sure what I'm doing wrong other than different line. Anyone have an idea!??
There’s one buzz bait better than anything else but I won’t tell . It’s a small company and if I win the Toyota series event on the Potomac coming up in June maybe I’ll spill the beans
I’ve only seen in of those kayak ramps in person. It would be awesome but people fish on it and stay in the way then refuse to move so you can get on it. Rude.

Use a Uni knot with flouro 💯
