Only ate gator once in a new chain restaurant that opened then closed in NJ and it was delicious! Your's looked insanely delicious and I was sorry to see that chain did not make it. (It was over 20 years ago). Great channel!
That would be such a cool experience, never had gator other than gator jerky wasn't too fond of that at least. But I would try it again if I got a chance to hunt one like that.
12 ft 4 1/4 inches long / I grew up in Loxahatchee FL since late 70s behind the J.W. Corbett area , it was about 5.5 miles to a paved road where I grew up behind our property was the L8 Canal and on the other side was the start of sugar cane fields . To give you an idea we were behind lion country Safari and basically between lion country and J.W Corbett and down the road was Santa Rosa Groves . There is a big pool gator in a canal that we used to have and makeshift bridge to go to a friend of ours house we were kids you know we would cut across this part of the canal that got real small or we would have to walk around and it was like an extra mile of walking well there was a big bull gator that my father and a friend of his set of trap for because it was very aggressive they ended up taking this gator so it didn't hurt any of his kids and it was 14 and a half feet long to tell was almost 9 ft long I've got teeth of this thing somewhere that as big as my pinky finger the way this man trapped this gator he used two small bicycle inner tubes from a kid's bike as a swivel so the skater with stretch on it and tire him out they ended up grinding the meat like ground beef and use Everglade seasoning and other seasoning and made hamburger patties and cook them on the grill and made burgers with it and it was some of the best I've ever had but I grew up West Palm Beach County in the middle of nowhere in 1977 and moved to Okeechobee two years ago because all the New Yorkers that flooded Western Palm Beach County but I grew up where during hunting season our neighborhood was flooded with wildlife that would escape the JW Corbett area and it was a lot of orange groves and that area was very very cool definitely an excellent childhood that I wish my kids could experience

I always wonder how a lifetime vegetarian like me is mentally, emotionally, sensibilities wise different from folks like deermeatfordinner who catch and cook alligators. In 1970 my brother brought a baby alligator from Louisiana he showed it to Deputy Dog. It promptly bit Deputy Dog on the nose. We had a galvanized steel tub to keep the gator in. Later that day I went to see it and found its body chewed nearly in half. Deputy Dog waited for his moment and eliminated an adversary. He also ended the problem of having an alligator gaining lots of size. These things are not suitable as pets!
