When we were fighting that gator he made a crazy run directly under the boat. When Sarah and I are guiding hunts. The louder I say back up, the faster she goes!!! It happens to fast to explain it. If I simply say back up, she puts it in reverse. The higher my voice gets, the more throttle she gives it! I left that segment in the video so you all could see the raw energy that goes into catching these monsters!

When he was yelling “BACK UP! BACK! UP!!” I got PTSD about being on the boat with my dad when I was a kid 😅😂😂😂
It sounded a lot worse than it was!!! I can’t explain how fast I need her to go, so she knows that the louder I say it, the faster she goes!!! I was also wearing a wireless microphone and while looking down at the gator, I was virtually yelling directly into the mic!
I had to leave that part in the video to show the real ness and rawness of the hunt!!!

I’m haunted by the sound of the “chef” using a metal spoon to stir around the glaze in a nonstick skillet.
So I wasn’t the only one who saw that way back as a teenager in the 80s my mom swore she’d tan my hide if I did that to hers on my night to cook now I make her wooden utensils for that reason

My dads friend was out gator hunting in Florida a couple weeks ago when he hooked into a 13 foot gator. He came in really quick. They got him to the surface and he dove straight down to the bottom. The area of the lake he was in was about 5 foot deep. The gator launched up and grabbed ahold of his arm. He was standing straight up and got slammed straight down to the boat. They jumped on top of him and got the gator to let go. He was gonna shoot it but didn’t have his gun with him. He is out of the hospital now and is doing much better.

Wow glad he is do better, because most people in general don’t know about the bacteria acid type saliva in their mouths, my gator hunter that kills mine for me said it is very strong.

Why is it that the happiest moments of my day recently have been during this trying time, during this pandemic watching your incredible and warm exciting hunting videos and cooking tutorials. I’m from Minnesota but when I was younger my dad moved my mother and I down to Florida. We lived In Naples and he learned so many different sea food recipes. We moved back up to Minnesota. But when I got older he thought me so many of his recipes. And I had to learn by the memory of my taste cause my father can no longer eat many of the foods he once enjoyed due to EoE, and I just love watching these videos as memories of my childhood come back!

As someone who knows nothing about hunting/fishing, but enjoys watching the occasional vid on the TH-cam.. is that the most humane way to kill the Gator? How quick is it? You stabbed him/her the first time but then seemed to do something after? Also, I’m writing this at 6:35 in the vid so I’m sorry if you explain it later on. Like I said, complete novice and no hate. Just curios.
I’m not a professional, but I heard that the first thing was to paralyze the animal to make step two easier. The second thing is called a boom-stick. It is a rod with a special shotgun shell that instantly kills the animal. You can’t just shoot the animal normally because the skin is too thick and you won’t make a clean/quick kill. In short, yes this is the most humane way that I know of.

The tone of his voice has nothing to do with stress when he needs her to back up a little he speaks softly when greater action is needed the higher the tone gets for a sense of urgency

@deermeatfordinner love your channel Rob, i even buy some the stuff you promote even if i don't need it because of your content. the only thing that got to me on this episode was that you were completely getting in the guys way of butchering the alligator, it seemed as every cut he was doing you would jump in there and say something about it, seemed as every piece of meat he cut you would grab and say something about it, the whole time i kept looking at his face i believe his name was Mario. he looked rather annoyed especially when you grabbed the tail meat and pulled the loin off of it. even the poor lady when she was bagging the meat you just grabbed it and sealed it yourself. DUDE, like i said i love your channel but please let the people do their work and maybe next time you can do a voice over on the video. other than that please keep these awesome videos coming. i am not commenting this to ruin your day or tell you how to do your job, but i remember when people would do that to me when i was trying to do my work and it annoyed the HECK out of me.
