One of my wishlist plants is the prince of orange philodendron. I know I don't look for exotic plants but I love plants with different colored leaves and I love philodendrons and aglaonemas. 😊
I finally got a pink variegated black velvet and love it! I’d be way too scared to repot it right after its gone through shipping. Some stores even have policies saying they won’t issue refunds or replacements for dying plants if you repotted it within a certain amount of time (like in the first week or something). But fingers crossed yours does fine!
I have 2 of them. Both from TC that I deflasked. It was such a fun process. I got 2 because I was so fearful of messing up the process and I wanted extra insurance. After I got them to ambient humidity I was shocked at how hearty the plant actually is. Also each new leaf is more beautiful than the last. Such a beautiful plant? Have you ever deflasked from TC?
@@iamclaudiaq I’m sure you have a lot of your planty context pre-planned. However, if you ever deflask a TC please do it as a long form video with monthly updates. There are not a lot of videos about this topic which is strange since TC’s are such a big part of the planty community.
hi , dont alocasia go dormant every year , thats why i dont have any i had 2 once a few years ago they went dormant and i didnt know they did that and put them in the bin , found out later by watching you tube that they go dormant and come back in the spring ,

I’ll be keeping it inside. It does get nice and warm where I live in Canada, but it’s very humid. I’m not sure if it would like that.

What a rewarding process! I’ve heard that tc’s are such vigorous growers. I haven’t gotten one in jar/jelly before but I definitely want to try this!
