Indoor cacti grower here! To force dormancy, the last water should be at the start of autumn, you then pop your plants in a cold, dry, dark room/ space, don't water them, slowly reintroduce them back to light just before spring and slowly start up watering again. We won't get displays like yours but it apparently helps!
Wow, I love cactuses every time I see them flower, even though they only last for a few hours, I’m already satisfied and I’m just curious with your cactuses because they have a very beautiful flowers 😍❤️❤️
Hello Shy, I recently discovered your channel and I love your cacti collection 😍🌵. I'm also growing my cacti outdoors and I think we have similar weather conditions here in Argentina (except for winter, maybe).
See? That’s what’s tricky for me growing indoors. My cactuses don’t really have the opportunity to go dormant. It doesn’t change temps. The lights stay on the same all year round. So it’s really hard to force them into dormancy.
I cannot get a bird of paradise plant to bloom. Cactuses/ Cacti might be even tougher, though I did get some hanging cactus ‘Queen of the night’ to flower.
In my side of the world the dormancy period is in deep summer ( July- September). … well I just have a small period of rain and summer 😅, no autumn no spring. The flower season is ( March - July). And a pop of flower 🌸 once in a while in between when they wake up before time.

My peanut cactus is going off at the moment, with gorgeous orange blooms. I don’t know its botanical name.
Theres like 500 different plants with flowers called queen of the night so you are probably correct haha
