原曲はアイルランドの反英歌として有名なCome Out, Ye Black and Tansですが、このオレンジ結社というのはアイルランド北部に拠点を置く国際的なプロテスタントの友愛団体です。カトリック教徒の多いアイルランド議会党によってイギリスのプロテスタントとの繋がりを失うことを恐れてアルスター義勇軍を結成するなどしており、アイルランド南北分断に大きくかかわってくる組織でした。
歌詞の内容は良く分からなかったのでアルスター義勇軍、ランペグドラム、アルスター盟約をテーマにしてみました。
