what happens when you;ve had this motor for about a year and it starts to move slowly and then one day just stops.Any Ideas of what needs to be replaced besides just a battery ?

I find it disgusting that almost 39k people had to view this video. My gate still won't close and opens by itself, major security hazard. Nothing but problems with this motor since day 1. Wouldn't recommend this product to my worst enemy.

because its a shit motor, I have had endless crap with mine and its not even a year old.
