This is the best video about the memories using the CMOS.........These videos are like the real teacher for the students of RGPV university...........Hats off to you.........
Loved the lecture - lecturer was quite clear each step along the way, did not leave any point half-explained. Will be spending more time watching nptel videos than watching the IPL this summer :)
thank you so much, i have an oral exam tommorrow in which i need all that, and thanks to this vid i have finally understood everything!!! woohoo Dr. Dasgupta RULES!!!!
@mayankipsa not quite, he didn't mentioned for ROM production all the transistors are in there because the production process is cheaper, nor why, how the floating gate persists the electrons when turned off
Even if there were a dent in the source region of the famos, that would not help in improving speed - the source is placed at low voltage compared to the drain ( typically it is grounded) to facilitate the formation of the channel of electrons in the p region. This channel formation is necessary for the mos to be on.. With this low voltage at the source, even a 'dent' in the oxide leayer there would not lead to tunneling.
Ahhh I remember those EPROM "Burners" in the 1970's and the UV PROMS. Called "Burners" from the higher voltages required above TTL and CMOS I guess. Mainly for keyboard mapping, character gen in monitors etc etc and simple stuff back then, ya know like MICR and OCR readers etc. Of course it was all DTL and TTL before LSI, VLSI and CMOS appeared.
That was a really amazing lecture, beautifully explained. except for people who are more interested in the OKs/min. (Call me a suck-up if you want, I would if I saw this comment) Just one question - Why can't you do what the lecturer has done to the right n-type region to the left side as well? wouldn't that help in the increase in speed? (I am obviously talking about the EEPROM ) So a downward dent in the Floating Gate on both n regions.
Hi I have a question.I just bought a gq4x eprom programmer kit with the adapter and the eprom eraser .It was a bundle kit on ebay. Why do I read something different depending on the sens tha I place the eprom?
12 years video and still one of the most clear on the subject of all the internet. Cheers from Spain
14 years and still the best....I came back after 3 years ..amazing prod

Great video! Very clear. I don't why everyone else is posting their origin country but what the hell. Greetings from Guatemala! :D
Easy to understand presentation of a complex subject.
awesome videos, all my concepts about mosfests are clear, thank u very much nptel
This professor is fantastically effective!!
I wish I knew where I could watch the other lectures in this series....
Can't find them on TH-cam.
Found it. Search TH-cam for the lecture number and his name.
Cheers from Brazil, great instructional video. Thanks!
... 16:45 thank you it cleared my doubts about programming and reading , and about how to electronically differentiate two fMos on same line .
Really nicely explained❤ teaching through black board chalk does wonders
I'm watching your video for the first time, and it's exciting. I need to know more about electronics. If there's a way, let me know. Thank you .
still a great, an unbeatable and the rare video
Love from Bulgaria🇧🇬❤
Thanks that was an incredible class you have a new student from colombia...
wow great professor, reason why india is so smart!!!!
I'm from 12th Science and even I can understand because of his (respected sir) quality of teaching.

I love lecture, this help me. Thank you
This guy has some great handwriting.
At the same time he teaches like a pro
He is a bengali...his hand writing must be good
Beautifully explained. Thank you so so much!!
Great Lecture!! My teachers never specified the structures of different ROMs so specifically.
Thank you mister
really thank you you are a savior
THANK YOU SO MUCH! This professor is amazing.

good and informative
+real high with basics
I ain't posting my country that's stupid

I learnt alot from this ,Many thanks.
Thank you very much sir. Very clear explanation
awesome video! really learn a lot from it, thanks!
Thanks, Quite Elaborate
I really enjoyed.
Thanks from France !
u look like a Frenchmen....
very knowledgeable n thanks for sharing it
Very good. Thanks from Brasil.
cool video
im fron brasil and im glad i can understand you very well
you are a very good teacher :D
I guess that I meant "Floating gate" and not "control gate" in the minute 24.19!
This is awesome.
Thx for posting this Vid, greetings from Mexico!

Thank you sir great video 👍
Very nice lecture!
Love from Italy
Thank you Sir, I grasped the concept .
thanks... from Argentina!

thanks amit sir
Thanks a lot for this great lecture!
Saved my ass the day before the exam! Thanks!!
Thanks!all the way from jamaica!yah manN!
great
9:19 funny thing is I'm watching this because my Avalanche truck BCM is failing. 10:05 his lines seem to line up above and below the float.
OK
I didn't even noticed until I read your comment. Lol
awsome faculty..

thanks
UVEPROMs were commonly used in arcade machines
la ventana de las eprom no es de vidrio es de cuarzo, el vidrio bloque la luz UV
thank you
nice one

O nice
OK very good ok!
This is why called sir = GOD
Why -ve elections in floating gate stores y not +ve
Thanks

Great lectures !!
Minor mistake: 38:00
He says.. Flash EEPROM is bit erasable..
Vaibhav Deshpande thats true
Its shows that you have understood the lec_!
Bhaishab 13 saal pehle bhi TH-cam pe padaii hoti thii 😂😂
