What a wonderful explanation...I'm a student from Italy, university of Rome "Tor Vergata", and that's what I was looking for years: a clear explanation of the MESFET and why we use GaAs for digital electronics. That's part of my thesis.

Capacitance between G and D should have been written as Cgd but not Cgs I think. It`s such a good explanation... Thank you

Hi. Can you please advise how a GaAs FET is tested using Digital Multimeter.? I tried but a healthy GaAs FET is behaving weird. Its shows a short unlike MOS FET. Please advise.
