There is no free lunch lady. If you operate inside the law...no problem. It's that simple.

I have had 0 "strikes" maybe maori should stop committing crimes if they want to stay out of prison?

She seems shocked the group who does the most crime and the worst crimes are charged with the most and worst crimes? She wants one group of nz to not just be shamed for their actions but instead get a free pass and we all have to feel guilty for their actions? that's just sheer disgusting.

Q for Ginny, if a crime was committed and it affected her personally, and the person who committed that crime was Maori, how would she respond to it???

Er, how about they just don't commit so much crime. The fact that she thinks three strikes isn't enough tells you all you need to know

As the great Jim Carrey once said in the movie Liar Liar, "Stop breaking the law asshole!"

So 5 Maori men beat up a white girl cause she left her Maori boyfriend . Do they not have to face any consequences?

No, because they had a "troubled upbringing"

Okay so what's your answer then, oh that's right you never had one except to give them all a free pass, one of the worst police ministers this country ever had, in fact probably number two behind Pou WILLIAMS, her then Hipkins

why do they keep repeating the same sentence about representation of Maori? Obviously they are trying to blame colonisation and not the perpetraitor, why do they never address the infanticide that has come down through their traditional tikanga? ,These Pakeha traitors need to be voted out get some conservative Christians in there otherwise our Country is over, step up as a candidate even if you don't get voted in go as an Independent at least you will have funding and a voice.

If colonization hadn't happened the offending would still occur in society. The reasons for recidivist offending are multifactorial, however these individuals don't respond to the ABC's (antecedent, behavior, and consequence) of human behaviour as well adjusted person might. Prison is consequence of their offending and is supposedly managed in a humanitarian manner. Without the current legal system to protect the offender they would be at the mercy of the lynch mob, although considering the extent of some of the offending in this day and age, this may seem commensurate with the crime.

No self accountability. Blame the law, not the person breaking the law. Right, that makes sense. Waste of taxpayers' money.

Recording the results does not prove the cause.

This woman confuses equity with equality . Equity means we should have approximately the same percentage( by population ) of Maori versus non Maori in prison . However if all the population are judged by the same laws - that’s called equality ( regardless of percentage in prisons . Surely we can’t have different laws , or sentences for Maori compared to other races - although that has been suggested and very quickly back tracked on by some other drop kick politician recently .
