Some context here. There is currently massive protests ongoing in Aotearoa (New Zealand) about a proposed bill introduced to Parliament by a minority party in the current Coalition government. This would see the founding document of the Commonweath country of New Zealand (Te Tiriti o Waitangi, aka the Waitangi Treaty) reinterpreted in such a way that (essentially) Māori cultural beliefs and the protections thereof granted under Tiriti would no longer apply to natural resources, which would then pave the way for multinational mining interests to desecrate sacred Māori lands. The continual eroding and erasure of Māori identity and culture is something that's been fought against since the end of the war against the British and the formation of New Zealand.
Believe it or not, but I resubscribed to your channel just 30 minutes ago in case you released a video on this New Zealand performance. And here you are. Thank you.
