This certainly was a historic day for New Zealand and for democracy. The Treaty Principles Bill passed it's first reading in the House of Parliament. The minister of treaty affairs Congratulated David Seymour on putting New Zealand out there as the worst country on earth for indigenous relations. How sad is that. Division has been created no matter how you look at it. What a mess.
@@Agradedbutfaded what the man who is Maori on his mother's side wanting to clarify the PRINCIPLES on which the treaty is interpreted. Remind me how is that divisive again.🙄
@ it doesn’t matter at this point. New Zealand is divided. Our government is a mess and the entire world is loving the fact no one can get along.
@@andrewandkaryntoulson1803 David Seymour has ZERO Māori Culture, Zero Culture, Zero desire to fight for Māori. He is just an Atlas Network Kupapa Traitor to Aotearoa.
@@Go_Home_British_Raj 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and how does that make him less of a Maori! The bill is to clarify the principles on which the treaty is interpreted. How is that racist? @brendonkroon3140 NO!
what happen that country? someone can explain?
A minor party made a deal with the National party in order for them to have a majority to govern the country. The deal was to allow a racist re-interpretation of the Treaty of Waitangi, the document that Maori agreed to to allow the Britsh to live in New Zealand.
@@danielmalyon2320 Act is the the right here. TPM acted out of control.

WE CAN SEE THE DISAPPOINTMENT ON HIS FACE 😂
This certainly was a historic day for New Zealand and for democracy. The Treaty Principles Bill passed it's first reading in the House of Parliament. A bill that seeks to clarify the constitutonal interpretation of the Treaty of Waitangi, New Zealand's founding document. I applaud and thank David Seymour for his bravery and honor in presenting the bill and for those MPs who voted to pass it to it's second reading. This bill could get the most submissions ever from Kiwis three times over. They might need sophisticated AI and dozens of staffers just to organise it. They may have to extend submissions out for a full year aa they will keep piling and piling in. All Kiwis know about this and have strong feelings about this issue.
This bill is about screwing Maori again or taking away what little Maori still have is it about undermining the Treaty and becoming a republic than goodbye privy council.

@@jammyone5108Sad that there was a need to perform the Haka - Yes I agree. Sad that so many rednecks are upset that they performed the Haka - yes.
So many bleat on about ‘Disrespect’ - however the status quo in Parliament is of spoilt little brats arguing and being childish. I have always used Parliament as an example to my children and grandchildren of immaturity.
Yet a Haka is performed and those that condone the usual childish antics get all upset at a Haka.
There’s a specific reason why they get upset - but all claim not to be. …

Incredible that the house allows this behavior ,the speaker has clearly lost control of his leadership in the house ,everyday he calls for silence during question time repeating many times ,standards in the house are noticeably declining
He would be quick enough to take control if NZF acted in this way. The T P Mo Ron party get special privileges and exemptions - WHY❓

DISGUSTING behaviour!! And to think we are paying their salaries...if a pakeha did that all hell would break loose and they would be booted out of their positions !
You talk about Maori things now being shove down your throats what a joke cause from day 1 Maori have had to take so so much being shove down our throats while the Pakeha raped and pillaged living in wealth and luxury and encouraged all Europeans to come here to ensure Maori became the minority. Now this bloke wants to fool us into changing history to suit others that are fresh off the boat and they are only too willing assist in any way they can.
