- Preah Vihear is a mesmerising and special UNESCO World Heritage Site, located in the far north of Cambodia. It's a large Hindu temple complex in a very dramatic location - located on a mountain ridge high above the Cambodian floodplains. The ruins here are in fantastic condition, and were really interesting to explore. Let's have a closer look!

Combodian Hindu architecture is very different from that of India.
It's amazing.
Not very different but its head is different than that of India, in case you didn't notice , south east and west india use thier own types of head for temples ne same goes in south east asia.

About the history of the Kui phnom Preah Vihear people .Who are builder of the land Chenla Khom civilization and Land Chenla kingdom and the Khom Angkor civilization. at Siemreap, Province Cambodia , Kui people who have lived in southern Isan for more than 2,000 years are the phnom Preah Vihear people is Phra Kammateng Pinsavankramavadi,she had daughter.
1. Teng Pran ( Meaphued ) Kampuchalakshmi or Kamlong Kammateng Sri Daranindradevi.
1.1. She is the queen of Phra Kammateng Paramenvarman or Jayavarman II.
1.2. She is the mother of Loh Sri Dhammawardhana. Phra Kamateng Vishnuloka or Jayavarman III.
1.3. She is the first of the Kampu royal family. Khom Empire.
1.4. Sivasanti inscriptions at the Preah Vihear temple said that Teng Pran ( Maephued ), Kampuchalakshmi or Kamlong Kammateng Sri Daranindradevi. beautiful and elegant suitable to be the first queen of the Kampu dynasty Khom Empire With family descended from the king Ishanavarman I of the Land Chenla kingdom.
2.Teng Hyang Chandra ( Pi or Pe ) has a husband named Loh Nat or Srinarupendraparuthiwendra ( Mad or Nukaed ), he is the leader of the Kui phanom Preah Vihear army.
3. Son 1 person named Loh Witsanupala ( Ayi ) or Phra Kammateng Rudavarman
There are the following positions:
3.1. Phra Kamlong Phued, Mor Vishnupala, Mophon Ajeng Krung, Kadi Preah vihear, is the leader. Mahout capture a wild elephant Preah Vihear Temple of the people of Kui phanom Preah Vihear , He used to fight and war with Phra Kammateng Paramenvarman. or Jayavarman II ( Ong or brother-in-law )
3.2.He is the teacher or Phra Kamlong Phued, the highest position. The first mahout capture a wild elephant ( Mor Phon A Jeing Krung ) Khom Empire at Siemreap Cambodia and Loh Sri Dhammawarddhana or Phra Kammatheng Vishnuloka or Jayavarman III learned how to capture wild elephants from Loh Vishnupala. or Phra Kammateng Rudawarman ( Ayi )
3.3.He was the first treasury general of the Khom Empire. Has been given a new name. Loh Lakhmindra from Phra Kammateng Paramenvarman or Jayavarman II ( Ong or brother-in-law)
3.4. He is the grandfather ( Konja ) of Phra Kammateng Indravarman I.
3.5. He is the ancestor of the king and queen ( Phra Kammteng and Kamlong Phra Kammtaeng, meaning the royal prince and the leader of the royal family of Khom Empire Siemreap Cambodia.
3.6 Phra Kammateng Jayavarman VII was descended from the Kui phanom Preah Vihear people from mother named Kammateng Sri Jayarachajudamanee are the daughter of Phra Kamateng Harshavarman III.
3.7 Phra Kammateng Harshavarman III, was descended from father was Phra Kammateng Suriyavarman I
3.8 Phra Kammateng Suriyavarman I, was descended from the royal family. Phra Kammateng Indravarman I.
3.9 Phra Kamateng Indravarman I were the nephew of Loh Vishnupala or Phra Kamateng Rudavarman ( Ayi ) at Prea Kho temple , Lolei temple and Takeao temple Siemreap province Cambodia.
3.10 Queen of Phra Kammateng Suriyavarman I is Kamlong Kammateng Sri Veeralakshmi descended from the royal family of Phra Kammateng Harshavarman I.
3.11 Phra Kammateng Harshavarman I was the son of Phra Kammateng Sri Yasovarman I.
3.12 Phra Kammateng Sri Yasovarman I developer of Khom script called Kampu script,
was descended from Phra Kammateng Indhavarman I.
3.13 Phra Kammateng Indhavarman I has grandfather was Loh Vishnupala ( Ayi ), his mother's name was Phra Kammateng Pinsavankramavadi ( Pho, Konja) Kui phnom Preah Vihear people.
They are ancestors Kui people of Chomphra village Chomphra District Surin province Thailand nowadays.
Another spectacular place to visit! The surrounds look well maintained and it doesn't look overun with visitors. Is it difficult to get to?

It's not hard, but it's a long way off the (international) tourist trail. It's about 4 hours by car from Siem Reap, and although there were plenty of locals since it was the weekend, I think we saw maybe one or two other foreigners

Most of the Hindu temples in southeast Asia was converted to Buddhist temple. Which is really heartbreaking for me.😭

If it was in Thai rule, it would have been restored until it was beautiful.
That's not necessarily a good thing! Restorations aren't always good - Bagan is a great example of a poor restoration job holding back World Heritage status for many years.
You leave ancient ruins the way they are. You don’t see Italians reconstructing the colosseum or Greeks reconstructing the pantheon
