Why did you not mention anything about the reported abysmal after sales service/reliability reports/complaints which makes many people , like me , look at alternative companies like MitoRedLight ?
Hey. I have covered this in numerous videos/posts. Platinum did have a rapid growth peroid a few years back which is where a lot of these bad experiences came from. I'm not defending them - but this did happen. They have since expanded their customer service dept and I have only heard good things from people who have purchased their panels of late.
I've got a BioMax thanks to your video reviews. Had been on the fence with red lights for years until I found your channel. Thanks for all you do! Great interview. Learned quite a bit.
Alex you should be aware that there is no way to turn off the RF emissions on the Biomax lights, when they are paired together. They include a cable giving you the impression that you can link the panels together without Wifi emissions, but the cable does nothing and there is no way to turn off the Wifi in the menus. I contacted Platinum tech support and they seemed very dismissive about this, just saying that the 2.4ghz radiation was harmless. I would like to hear what Mark thinks about this, as I am sure the tech support people will not bring this to his attention. Hopefully he will add a software update for this rather than continue to sell the panels with a cable that gives the false impression that you can link panels without Wifi radiation.

After reading someone else's comment about PlatinumLED's F BBB rating and yes buyer beware. Make sure that you are 100% certain this is what you want to buy.
@Zoni3gurl I am posting a few places as I was one of the buyers that just did business with them against my better judgement of seeing the ratings and I want to save others from the same mistake. Over $5,000 worth of business . It is the most dishonest and horrid customer service company I have ever done business with. You can see the review of what happened on BBB (where they have an F score) and Trust Pilot (where they have the lowest score possible) for details. Reviews on a customer website are easily fabricated - they have endless negative reviews on 3rd party sites, but none on their own site, which should give people a sense of how valid the positive reviews on their site are. They cancelled my order the day its was finally scheduled to be delivered, a month late with no notification, no refund receipt, I found this out day of delivery from Fed Ex when it didn't arrive. The Rep at Platinum LED hung up on me when I inquired and my number is blocked from calling the customer service line for resolution. The good news is we're finding alternatives we wouldn't have learned about otherwise - Hooga - particularly their new HG ULTRA (stronger specs, far better price and customer service reviews), GembaRed, MitoRed - all that have far superior reputations. Of course there's Joov & others as well, but most people who know of Platinum LED, work with them or know of them as well.
Mark Sawyer is saying that sooner or later the companies saying they’re using 5 w are going to be exposed. How about if all the companies including platinum are exposed for saying some of the panels are full body when they’re not.
@@LightTherapyInsiders yea it’s confusing. Mito red light is 42” and the platinum is 36” height , both of them say is a full body panel. I want to treat my thyroid and the legs all the way down with the biomax 900 and I end up compromising the treatment for the whole leg. I have not problem if they and you say “if you want real whole body treatment you need more that one panel like you have” Thanks for your answer
I'm new to health apps using light - doing my due diligence on led panels etc. In this interview, the BIOMax owner, Mark S. poo hoos the benefit of pulsed wave (PW) vs continuous wave (CW - BioMax tech). Two points - 1) He is right in saying that pulsing light from higher powered LASER devices can reduce the burning of tissue due to decreased "thermal effect" (sic). However, he suggests that lower heat generating LEDS don't "require" pulsing due to an acceptable & tolerable level of "thermal effect" on the body, and therefore HIS product line doesn't have UNNECESSARY pulsing features like other companies' product offerings - suggesting that pulsing is a worthless gimmick. Studies on skin, dating back to 2010 (D.Barolet et al) illustrate real benefits to pulsing LOW Level Light Therapy compared to continuous wave. More recent head and brain studies tout the benefits of 10Hz & 40Hz pulsing vs continuous wave LED's, due to native brain wave oscillations in the corresponding bands of alpha & gamma brainwave frequencies. 2) He ignores that pulsing, thereby lowering the duty cycle of the LEDS, will actually increase the durability and product life of the LED/Panel. I welcome any input from more learned EE's or scientists in the field.
Alex I hope you update your review to have accurate information on the Biomax RF output. In your review you state that the RF function is not a requirement for linking multiple panels. That is incorrect. The ONLY way you can connect multiple panels is when the 2.4Ghz RF radio is on, the cables that come with the unit to connect them do nothing, and there is no way to disable the RF radio when the panels are linked together.
I would like to take this opportunity to publicly acknowledge you, and the wonderful things you do for us. I am dumbfounded at the level of hard work you put in to simplify things for us…the links you’ve created…all the hard work behind it. I never even saw that before. Thank you so much for the questions that you asked tonite. Every time I thought of something -you would ask it. It just shows how connected you are with the people and what they need. I felt that you were asking questions for me because I would’ve asked the question about the migraine all of them. I was under anesthesia and all fucked up. They had me sign something to take this non-FDA approved drug that I later found out did not match with a very serious drug. But to give me a dragon, it’s not FDA approved that I later found out did more damage to me than Good instead of the right thing to do, which is exactly what they didn’t do none of the treatments recommended because you see the drug companies won’t make money that way and they will go down and under and less they give them to us and those old frail people are going to take them because they don’t know any better. And saw the Law absolutely needs to change. They make revisions to their rules and regulations that they’re not even following to begin with when I saw USDA on the list it’s all a front when I saw the HH ass on the list I had to laugh out loud they are hypocrites. It’s just for show as long as you guys can get money out of them to do research on red light then more power to you but they are nothing but a bunch of corrupt liars and politicians. I’m about to expose them they don’t care about people or they would promote these therapies rather than give a pill that will slowly start killing a person it’s disgusting how they work together the insurance companies with the pharmaceutical companies with the doctors I almost died in my bad Alex and they’re going to pay for that. Yes! You are right Alex. I loved this video! To get the flavour of Mark Sawyer and the company’s story and authenticity has made me feel even better with my purchase choice that I just made 2 days ago. (2x 900 panels with the mechanical stand for personal and clinical use). Can’t wait to receive it and get it up and running.
Im still very interested in knowing more about the Biomax 450. Also is there any studies based on skin tightening (for the body not the face) and also does RLT & NIR rebuild ir heal connective tissues ?

And yes, there are many studies on light such as 620 or 630nm and skin health, so the 10% of light going to that part of the red light spectrum is very advantageous. -- Bart from team Alexfergus.
I haven't seen any regrowth myself - but then my hair loss has seemed to slow in recent years (at one stage I thought I'd be bald in a year at the rate I was losing it) so Maybe it does help slow with hair loss??
@alexfergus I noticed in the recent PlatinumLed FB ads, they are measuring using Mw/CM2 and show that the biomax900 crushes the mitopro 1500. Seems like its different than your results (different measurement ie watts). Any thoughts? I'm on the fence between the 2 devices.
Hey, I'll be doing a direct comparison of these two panels in the coming weeks (it should be up on YT in feb) so that should help clear things up :) Remember though, these panels are both extremely powerful - especially when compared to panels a few years older. Even if one is slightly more powerful than the other it's not like you are getting a low powered panel!
They measured MITO light on the edge of the panel, not in the middle and they might not turn on NIR light as it is not on as deafult. Their reading can be sqewed by blocking some light by the measuring tape.
Here is the light output of MITO 900 th-cam.com/video/EqmV6-WiP8g/w-d-xo.html using the same solar power meter as they used in the advert. Notice the meter is in the middle of the panel and no tape is blocking the light.
Hey, yes, some of the studies do show increases in fat loss with light therapy - in some studies red light therapy was used, and in other halogen bulbs. Also, there are almost certainly indirect effects through which red light therapy improves fat loss, such as increasing sleep quality, boosting recovery and gains after workouts, and reducing pain, all which will translate in better fat loss results. -- Bart from team Alexfergus
I have been using the biomax 900 lights with the horizontal stand and can confirm significant fat loss - meaning you can actually see the loss without using a measuring tape. It's significant. Exercise and eating clean will also help speed up the fat loss.
Why we can't see the face of platinum founder? It would be nice to see video with his face. Why they are so secretive that they don't show their company address on their website? All other red light therapy companies I know publish their office address and information about people who run their company. I thought this is standard these days. Why they are so secretive? Suspicious!

The terminology can be confusing. That is why companies also list the number of LEDs and their height, width, and weight.

It’s really hard to think I can’t fight if I feel sick I don’t know what else to say other than I would’ve been dead in about three months and I have a job to do I didn’t want to go but I was just too sick to get up. I still am I’m ordering a unit and they’re going to pay for it. I’m sending them the fucking bill. I’ve turned into a potty mouth because of them too. I used to be a lady, but they turned me into a monster that I am. I’m so angry at how they treat the vulnerable in the sick did it just angers me to a degree that it fuels me and I am serious. I’m sending them the bill and they will pay for it because it was on my therapy treatment that I never got. You are A better doctor than the one that operated on me and I don’t know if you realize that you saved my life but you did and if you did that can you imagine how many other lives you’re doing this to what a gift Alex what a wonderful gift you are to have such a beautiful purpose in your life. I am truly from the bottom of my heart grateful to you. Your success is going to be so big. You won’t even be able to see the top of it. I am so happy for your baby on the way in for your beautiful wife your family your business you’re gonna be bigger than you can handle because you have a big heart and that’s where it starts, you are a true humanitarian and you have my utmost adoration and respect. I will never forget what you did for me for the rest of my days. I just wanted you to know that and I wanted to say it publicly. Potty mouth and all.

I’m gonna fight, and I fight for other people more than myself but I had a problem with the 5% Alex thing… All I can say is they better kick you down 25% more because if they’re just matching that I think you’re getting gypped look at all the business you’re bringing them seriously I did my homework and I know I’m right you better be getting at least 25% Alex or I’m gonna go after them too. Hi Alex, I would love to know Mark's thoughts on 60 vs 90 degree beam angle, and why Platinum uses 90.
I would also like to know this. Rouge has 30 degrees so its quite complicated.

Yes, I have used the plant growth lamp, which contains 11 kinds of spectrum, so it is more complicated, and it is really amazing.

The study is eight years old though, so more recent studies won't be included. And yes, there are many studies on light such as 620 or 630nm and skin health, so the 10% of light going to that part of the red light spectrum is very advantageous. -- Bart from team Alexfergus.

Can any body vouch for the hair loss effects with these panels, I'm thinning at the crown and trying all avenues to stop it further.
I haven't seen any regrowth myself - but then my hair loss has seemed to slow in recent years (at one stage I thought I'd be bald in a year at the rate I was losing it) so Maybe it does help slow with hair loss??
@alexfergus I noticed in the recent PlatinumLed FB ads, they are measuring using Mw/CM2 and show that the biomax900 crushes the mitopro 1500. Seems like its different than your results (different measurement ie watts). Any thoughts? I'm on the fence between the 2 devices.
Hey, I'll be doing a direct comparison of these two panels in the coming weeks (it should be up on YT in feb) so that should help clear things up :)
Remember though, these panels are both extremely powerful - especially when compared to panels a few years older. Even if one is slightly more powerful than the other it's not like you are getting a low powered panel!
They measured MITO light on the edge of the panel, not in the middle and they might not turn on NIR light as it is not on as deafult.
Their reading can be sqewed by blocking some light by the measuring tape.
Here is the light output of MITO 900 th-cam.com/video/EqmV6-WiP8g/w-d-xo.html using the same solar power meter as they used in the advert. Notice the meter is in the middle of the panel and no tape is blocking the light.
So much info out there. Looked at a handful of higher priced equipment to add to our nutrition program. Can this be used to assist in weight loss ?
Hey, yes, some of the studies do show increases in fat loss with light therapy - in some studies red light therapy was used, and in other halogen bulbs. Also, there are almost certainly indirect effects through which red light therapy improves fat loss, such as increasing sleep quality, boosting recovery and gains after workouts, and reducing pain, all which will translate in better fat loss results. -- Bart from team Alexfergus
I have been using the biomax 900 lights with the horizontal stand and can confirm significant fat loss - meaning you can actually see the loss without using a measuring tape. It's significant. Exercise and eating clean will also help speed up the fat loss.
Why we can't see the face of platinum founder? It would be nice to see video with his face. Why they are so secretive that they don't show their company address on their website? All other red light therapy companies I know publish their office address and information about people who run their company. I thought this is standard these days. Why they are so secretive? Suspicious!
