Not sure if anyone has said it yet, but blood type is an astrology type thing in Japanese culture. It's the whole reason why there's blood types for the characters in resident evil 1-3. Apparently it correlates to your overall personality, such as A being creative or AB being rational. Edit: To be clear, I don't believe it lol. I know the way I ended that made it sound like I did.
I remember thinking they listed blood types in the RE games because it was a horror game so it somehow made sense to my 11 year old brain but then I remember other games like FF7 listing blood types as well

I remember playing Last Chaos when I was a teen! That sends me back. I remember it was optimized to grind for skill points instead of exp in early level. There used to be an exp lock button to help with that so you wouldnt ruin your skill point farm by leveling up. But when I played they has already adjusted the exp lock to 50% so you would gain exp slower but still gain exp. Never had a game incentivize not leveling up before lol. This was when I played on 2008ish IDK how it is now. I played the dual sword knight.
When i was young, i always wanted to play WoW. But didnt have a pc, id id have a ipad though. I played a mobile MMO called Celtic Heroes. We raided, had worlds first and everything was a great time. Game had its own economy, i had a gf , gambiling. I even remeber updating my signate in the forums, because my group got the first kill of a new boss, and i got the kill credit as a druid ( the healer class) because i was one of the first damage druids at the time. Great memories, would love to see you check it out if you do a mobile mmo episode.
my friend and I used to play Celtic Heroes all the time back in like 2012, we had an absolute blast! I thought it was fun for a mobile mmo and I never spent money on it.
I loved that game as well. I am so inlove with celtic culture and funny enough there's a game about it. Played it for many moons until I turned adult and responsibilities decided to get in the way

I'm actually one of those players who still plays Last Chaos from time to time and have been playing since 2008. The UI issue is the same as Milmo, the UI is made for 'modern' resolutions while the game still defaults to 800x600 or so.
Broken Ranks is not a dead game. It is actually kinda popular in Poland. Also, the was released over 12 years ago, it Just got remade into 3D and renamed in 2022. (Old name was The Pride Of Taern) Just some fun facts from a guy who spent too much time in the game itself.
"Requiem: Desiderium Mortis." When I played it was called "Requiem: Momento Mori" then I think "Rise of The Reaver" and was called "Bloodymare" when it was released? A free to play horror mmorpg that was truly a LOT of fun. Even when I played there was a bit of an item mall issue starting... but the actual game was sooo much fun. I'd love to see a Waydot impression of my first MMO lol
As someone who's main MMO in most of highschool was Last Chaos (2009-2011) I can say that back in the day it was a completely different game. Same graphics yest but everything else in the game from the starting menu onward was way better looking. There was no tutorial so essentially you had to know someone who actually knows how to play the game properly to initiate you in the correct way of grinding.

Just to let you know that this game actually has 1k+ active players on ch1 and that the playstyle walkthrough is kinda different than other MMO's, anyway thank you for putting this beauty into light :)

I loved Last Chaos and my father and cousins, and I all used to play it daily for a few years. I stopped playing when they changed the guild exp tithe to only allow 50%...it made it impossible to farm sp and it was so painful. Still listen to the soundtrack though as some of the music is top tier.

I checked your channel and I couldn't find if you have covered it or not but you should check out "DDO" or "Dungeons and Dragons Online". It was basically a WoW clone in the DND universe and has some funny dialogue and a great world feel. I played it a bunch back in the day with various friends but could never get passed a certain level because sadly they locked the content behind a paywall. It's worth checking out though for the nostalgic feel and just to see what could have been if it was more popular. I have great memories of it!
God Lucent heart brings back a good memory with a friend and I. We joined a dead pvp server. Where you can just kill on sight with no issues and beat the crap out of a noob who just downloaded the game like us. Good times...
I don't know why I'm mentioning this since the servers have been down for probably a decade now, but maybe you can find some use for this information for a video or something. The game I've probably played the most in my life is an old mobile MMO called Seven Swords by Asobimo, Inc. who make more successful MMOs now (including Avabel that you've covered before). It's very strange because there isn't much information about the game anymore but if you look up Seven Swords MMO you can find scraps of information about it. Very nostalgic for me.
Except the sequels. The sequels are all practically DOA. I really loved the original's graphics and sound design. Cute and memorable sprites on a 3D background, combined with great music and ambient sound? I remember RO for the same reason I remember so many PS1 games.
I would suggest a game called Eldevin. It is sort of like Runescape if it was a MMORPG. It will have game mechanics that will remind you of several other games and the skill crafting mechanics are very in depth. The game was buried on arrival as it spent years in development Hell trying to find somebody to produce the game. By the time it came out, it was already years behind the competition, and looked dated. It has a dwindling population, but some very loyal, hardcore players. There are some clever level designs to be had in dungeons and such.

I played Last Chaos for its first three years, what you see there in town now are mostly bot and whale accounts selling gold/items. Like any mmo, it only took two years for players to buy their way to whale level and take over but, up to that point, I loved that game 😊
My only problem with Broken Ranks after I played a couple tens of hours is that the only supporting role/abilities are the druids team heal, and the Firemages team defense buff. Otherwise there is no taunt, No real reason to invest in health ect (because in a group if you're weak, you get hit and die. No taunt for beefier players) and the only reason to party up is to do more damage.
False, Knight has a protection skill which makes mobs attack him instead of the Player that he casts the spell on. Also, almost every single class has skills which benefit other classes, Archer can boost hit chance for FM, Sheed can boost your AP or Knight can boost your dmg
Just found your channel so watching a lot of your dead or abandon mmorpg videos a lot of these offical versions of games are dead because private servers are essentially making better versions of the game with custom content and fixes that even official servers don't have.
Knight online was really fun but also super buggy lol. I tried going back to it a few times, but the game was overrun by bots sadly. It felt like a promising game
It might be a chore to get it running, but you can play EverQuest Online Adventures through a fan-run emulation project. That game was my first MMO and that may be true for a lot of others since it was on the PS2. Miss that game.
You should check out Anarchy Online if you haven't already. I really wish for it to have some more players try/return to the game. It's fantastic and unique both in playstyle, content and gameplay. I can really really recommend it!
Not sure what happened with your Lucent Heart run, but the game ran smoother for me years ago when I was working with a low-end PC. Was a fun game back then, especially since you could dance to music in the game, and even create your own dance routines to your own custom songs (that you could share on the forums). Never really bothered with the romance part, myself.
It’s too bad you couldn’t find 12sky 1 or 2, they were such amazing games. I still remember them fondly. Heroes of the Three Kingdoms mmo was also really good. At its peak, I was a lieutenant in the top clan.
Wow Last Chaos was amazing game back in the day and it even looked better. I don't know how you can make worse graphic within those years lol. I remember when making new char you looked for mentor (high lvl player) and he would go exp you in some tomb on desert and then you get very good weapon on start if you rech lv20 with his help that was amazing

It’s too bad you couldn’t find 12sky 1 or 2, they were such amazing games. I still remember them fondly. Heroes of the Three Kingdoms mmo was also really good. At its peak, I was a lieutenant in the top clan.

Wow Last Chaos was amazing game back in the day and it even looked better. I don't know how you can make worse graphic within those years lol. I remember when making new char you looked for mentor (high lvl player) and he would go exp you in some tomb on desert and then you get very good weapon on start if you rech lv20 with his help that was amazing
