Cold and rainy there I see this Saturday am in Texas. Wet here too. Be good if your Dad had workbench table with vice he could roll up to and work on stuff. Enjoy the channel!
It's an awful dirty day here today. He does have one at the back of the garage but there's just so much stuff in there these days we can't get at it. We'll have to sort it some day
You can't expect to know what you haven't learned. My grandma used to tell me that and it applies to you now. Your Dad is teaching you what you need to know and practicing it will make you know what to do and how to do it. That's a long version of practice makes perfect. You are doing good. If you weren't I'm sure your Dad would tell you. At least I hope he would, lol. Keep up the good work. Your journey is so interesting to those of us who used to farm and those who've never farmed.
Awesome video again Karen thanks, you look like the pied piper with the cattle following you into the field. Great job on the door 🚪 great to see your dad teaching you how to do maintenance, you will save yourself a small fortune. Thanks again take care and stay safe 👍 😊.
The door repair looks really good. Your dad is becoming quite a star in your videos. I get similar "fixing what the Horses destroyed" sesions. once I have mended one bit they find something else to break
Cattle are looking great Karen and I'm sure ye are delighted to see them out to grass. You seem to have a fine covering of grass as well. Well done to you.
Great video good see the cattle out better out than in . Horns do sometimes grow back nothing unusual, may never happen again depends on how many cattle you have , the larger the herd the more you will see it happening. So don’t worry about your dehorning technique.
Wow your father is such a great help to you Hes obviously good at repairing and making stuff around the farm I'm retired now but when I was dairy farming I had to be a plumber an electrician a mechanic and a welder but I loved it not to mention a VET 😂
Nice work again Karen, your dad is reaching you well. One thing I would suggest is using eye protection when using the grinder. Well done on another great video.
Hi really enjoyed the video. We de horn calves at TB testing and I remeber 1 cow we had to de horn twice so. This was the only one we had though so it does happen some times. The vet told me that it could have been because the horn was not mature enough when the cow was de horned.
Hi Karen, sorry I didn’t comment on the last few videos but the Smurfs were on so I didn’t have a lot of time.😅 The issue with the horn is that they are just like your baby teeth, the first one falls out and the second one grows in. Ha Ha, great video and take care 🇨🇦👍🚜❤️
We too are having Spring like weather with warmer winds and temps here in Ohio! Crazy for February but no complaints as I'm pretty sure Winter is not done just yet! 😉 Crazy that the young limousine has a horn instead of a "bit of dirt"! Was wondering do you just allow it to grow and will it eventually fall off later like Bucks who loose their antlers?! Great to see you Karen working with your Dad on the "new" door! Last week the mystery word for you was "Yearlings" and todays mystery word is "Rollers"! 🤣🤣 Always a treat to see how much your animals dig hanging out with you even if it's just a walk in the fields! Love my seat in here and as always thank you for thinking of your Fans! Cheers From Across The Pond In COW-lumbus, Ohio MOO 👋
I'm Irish living abroad, ït's 12 degrees and I am roasting" made me laugh hard, fair play to you, you are sounding more upbeat than a few months ago, hope it continues and you have continues success
Another great update. The way you referred to Norma as the 'best person' (6:58) 🤣 Sheehan always makes me smile - the little brother who kept growing up and thinks he's still a kid. How did the white runners end up? A nice shade of brown.
thinking re the bottom door post...will require a welder...attach a bottom plate , slip a piece of pipe over the rod to keep the door rolling free without so much wear and tear on the door. perhaps another plate on the top of the rod such that you do not lose the pipe. keep the plates to the inside of the door. there got that off my chest.
Great video Karen as always I remember asking about your dad and you told me about his accident as a carpenter tks you keep going Karen your videos are brilliant
You should change the black handle on your grinder over to the other side, so the sparks will blow backwards not forwards, and the switch will be on the top. 99% of other grinders will be that way and it will save you getting caught out if you ever go to use a different grinder, big or small.
Another Great Video Karen. Lovely to see you and your Dad working together. Have you started the mighty 135 lately...? Like watching your Vlogs. Aidan From Galway...
@@karenmoynihanfarm I've seen it with my own usually goes away after a month or so. The best place for those is outside more air ! Sheds can get to stuffy when the temperature starts to rise. I don't have to tell you to keep an eye on them you mind them like babies 😏
Hallo kàreñ it great to get the yearlings out to grass maybe if u chaģèď the usual dose to some different brand it might solve the problem ivomec maybe may solve the priblem
About the coughing, oral dose do not work good their second year, get a product an injection under the skin behind the shoulder if there are still coughing bad (for lung worm)
As soon as I heard "moving cattle" I thought there's going to be another "rodeo". Glad to see you didn't have to chase cattle helter-skelter around pastures and that the move went well. Perhaps they weren't too frisky since they were already out on grass. Just a theory, mind you; I live nowhere near farm country around here. . .
I don't think there is anything wrong with your cattle looking at them karen they look amazing think they all do a bit of coughing when the run around a bit mine are the same so don't think anything is wrong with them just the time of year maybe nothing wrong with those fella's looking at the anyway picture of health...
i think your angle grinder spins in "wrong" way. at least in my opinion it is dangerous to spin that way. i would change the handle and guard to the other side.
Karen that grinder is dangerous the way it is set up. It will kick back on you and hurt you. Screw the handle in to the opposite side and flip the guard around 180 degrees. Sparks should be coming towards the user and not away if you get what im saying.
You are a great worker Karen and your Dad is still a great help to you. A great man.
God bless you and your family beautiful angel,,,,, ur dad must be very proud of you 💕💕💕

Karen, you must be making your dad a very happy man and that makes everything you do worthwhile. You have a great attitude to your work.

I see they had eye protection. Karen's were almost completely invisible as the wings were transparent also.
@@MrMike353 my apologies I didn't notice them.

Only done 2 weeks ago though
They are probably still coghing it up .
Great work karen
Good video karen , lovly job
Everyday it a school day great video as usual

Nice to be able to have the yearlings out.
Do they have a deer cull in your area?
I haven't heard about it but they'll keep it as quite as possible to keep the vegans quiet

I have and it started not a bother. it will be out for the fertiliser now soon enough
Bolt the bar onto door and drill a hole on ground so it be a drop pin I show you one later on my door
Hi Karen did you do them for fluke. With all the wet weather in the autumn it might be worth doing. Keep up the good work
Yes we did them for fluke about 2 weeks ago
They are probably coughing up the dead worms so the dose worked
They certainly know the difference of the ground that got the slurry
Probably coughing up the dead worms.
So you think they'd still be coughing them up?

Ya they've been treated for worms

Good video
If there coughing there more then likely have a lungworm levacide low volume will sort it it's a drench
Maybe the shed wasn't ventilated enough it's been a mild winter for the most part

I wouldn't describe them as that 😅
Would u try and get dung samples tested Karen. It might help with why they are coughing.
I'll have to if it persists
It was meant to be a compliment, sorry if any one was offended

Don't you think cows with horns are more beautiful. We are also removing the horns, but still I think they look better with horns
Oh no I hate the look of them. Maybe a nice highland cow yes but I don't like them on these continental cows at all
Maybe your choice of words could be rearranged

The horn on that bullock
