Karen! I’m so enjoying your videos.. just the other day while out on my parents farm I asked my teenage daughter to picture a farmer…she had no problem picturing a farming man but when I said picture a farming woman she had no reference point. Now she can see a strong, smart and extremely capable farmer who is a woman. Our young girls and young women need to see it to become it! (And I am also a big nerdy fan of strimming - your comment made me laugh)

Great video, Karen, and nice to see you got your silage done and dusted. You might have less bales put better quality, and more in the bales will last longer, and you had a lovely clean crop
This update showed off some skills we haven't seen in past videos Karen. An amazing effort tagging Norma and cleaning up the area behind the bales, I have never heard the term 'strimming' before. I liked the reference to the 2 minute job of rolling the hose that you put off that looked to take so much longer when you got around to it, I'm sure a lot of us have done that. Your skills with the drill and spirit level got the job done, I had to look at the use of the spirit level on the lower bracket a second time when I was watching but then the comment about getting Dad's advice on using it made sense (also a great effort not dropping anything down the slats), the Quality Control of the stacked bales was second to none.
...... like your Led Zep work shirt ... laughing ... good on you for having the camera rolling when you successfully ear tagged Nervous Norma, that was priceless .. might be an idea to make a short out of that and use the appropriate Hashtags to drive traffic .... love your sensitivities about the slow injection .... that is quite the front wheel your dad has on the front of his chair, not sure why I've not noticed it before .... well done on the gate hanging, one should always take a moment and congratulate ones self of a job well done, it all adds up to the affirming of "I can figure it out, I can do that" ..... thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans ....
Always a pleasure to watch your admiration to the cattle , beautiful silage great effort with average of 7 bales per hectare love you all ❤❤from Australia ❤❤
Wonderful to see your happy face again. In the area where I live in Australia silage was never needed, The winter grass wasn't much, but it was enough to keep the milking cows alive as many of the cows were drying off and milk supply dropped. But i am talking about seventy-five years ago and farmers didn't have the machinery to make bales of silage. Many farmers grew what was called cow cane and it was put through the hand turned chaff cutter and stored in old wheat bags and supplemented the poor grass supply.
Hi Karen, walking through your fields must give you great satisfaction. Great camera work yet again showing not only the beautiful countryside but also the fruits of your labour. Having cut the grass you get a better perspective of the size of the task you have to manage, definitely post card material.
