@@Temptation666 im sorry but I can't support this take. Yes it is correct to not condemn anyone just based on words and without listening to the other side and cancel culture Is very very problematic BUT we don't have only words alone. The podcasts made a really good job in working through text messages, emails, voice messages. There were witnesses and friends of the two women in the podcasts and everything seemed to be very Very believable. Unless all of that is faked, and I don't believe professional journalists would have any interest in doing that because they would almost certainly lose theire jobs, there really is too much proof to deny any of the allegations. Also two more things that bother me about what you said. Women RARELY get believed in these cases because women never get taken at face value and suddenly everyone is always like "well women can lie too", especially when the allegations are against a famous man. The least one can do, especially with this overwhelming amount of proof, is believing and supporting a survivor of sexual assault. Secondly WHY would someone fake allegations like this? What interest would they have in mind? It is hard work, it is emotionally draining, you are in constant fear of getting found out and you get absolutely nothing out of it. Hell, you even get negatives out of it. Online hate, threats, suddenly being all over the media. People always seem to think that women who make allegations like this just want their little piece of fame but first of all they stayed anonymous and second of all you never ever ever get fame out of that, it is always in every case just online and real life hate and threats. You probably didn't mean ill by what you said, but as a surviver of sexual assault it takes so so much courage and energy to come forward with this, all knowing that probably nobody will believe you, probably you will get retraumatised, probably the case will be dropped, that most women don't report their cases because the cons outweight the pros. All this times 1000 against someone this famous. So when someone works up the courage and makes themselves go through all of this it is a hard punch to the gut to getting dismissed by "Well women lie too. " so please think about your words more carefully and reflect your own bias against someone you look up to. Especially, again, with this overwhelming amount of proof.
I don‘t see how this is happening, since Pratchett can no longer contribute to the storyline. Gaiman has his faults, and him stepping down is a necessary decision, but however badly he behaved towards women, I don‘t believe that he held any of Pratchett‘s drafts back.
I don't think they could do that? They can ask John Finnemore to write for it though and he is a comedy writer. I think that's why S2 was so funny. They should bring him back.
John Finnemore isn't slated to come back, but yes, his scenes were wonderful. He was obviously in charge of all the flashback sequences, and you could feel his influence elsewhere too.
This week is such a whirlwind. I just got a puppy at work Sunday. We voted on their name last night. The majority picked Crowley. So I have this lovely Black Lab puppy named Crowley and all this happening in the background and now I can fully breath again sleep deprivation and all.
Awe, thats nice. Im glad your doing better fellow stranger. Sending thoughts your way! ^^ (bullets if you dont get that sleep deprivation in check. /j)
I think this is the best possible outcome. He needs to be the head writer. But canceling the show would harm too many not famous people who count on the work and none of them deserve to be around someone unsafe on the job
Yes! Thank you! People keep saying that we should watch good omens and cancel all the series by Neil but what about the rest of the people! What about the artists, stunt doubles, fox, sound editing, musicians, set designers, cloth designers, and so on. Everybody needs their job right now loosing a project like this it’s terrible news for the rest of the people
Given that I know Gaiman's association with the show can't be entirely removed, I'm sure this whole mess will end in the loss of at least some fans regardless. But it seems like him at least stepping back from the more front-facing side of things would probably be the best case scenario for fans who are still hoping to see the final season made. I'm generally in agreement that it would be a shame to see the work of so many people go to waste because of one guy. Good Omens is more than just Neil Gaiman, something I think has been easy for people to forget because of how involved he's been in production and how ever-present he's been in the fandom. And it isn't like the show is some new random project. Amazon has already invested so much into it over the years, and I highly doubt they want to throw it all away without looking at every possible option. I'm not going to sit here and deny to myself that my desire to see the show go on is about anything but my own selfish attachment to the universe and its characters. I'm not going to deny or downplay the work Neil Gaiman has done on the book and the show as I've seen some fans trying to do in order to rationalize this. Neil is clearly smart, talented, and wickedly funny. But he's also a human being, and human beings are capable of making harmful decisions and hurting others. So if he hurt those women, then I hope for justice and peace for them, first and foremost. I HOPE the whole show isn't sacrificed as a result, but if it is, then... c'est la vie, I suppose.
I think TBH, some fans will be campaigning about boycotting etc. But the general public genuinely don't even know or care. This is always shown in practice, people watch stuff anyhow. Look at Mel Gibson or the recent Will Smith film that was number one. I think most people don't really read celeb stories, very few would listen to Rachel Johnson's podcast. I expect Amazon know that as long as the story doesn't take off during a promo period, the show will still do well. Also... I'm gonna say it, I bet those fans who insist they'll boycott will just watch it. They won't be able to resist.
@@ericamacs3875 I do think there are probably a lot of people who still don't even know about this. It isn't especially mainstream knowledge at this point and not everyone is deeply entrenched in the fandom. I'd go so far as to say most people are not closely following the social media fan communities or searching for every tidbit of news about the show that they can find. And even then, I agree that a lot of people who find out won't care. At least not enough to completely drop the show.
@@supremeoverlorde2109 yep, I think the general public don't. It's very much a Social Media echo chamber. I was at Kings Cross last couple of days as I needed to head up North.. and as I walked past the usual massive queue for Platform 9 3/4 and the Harry Potter shop.. I was thinking about this exact point. People love their chosen books, films etc, and really don't care if you cancel the creator.
I agree. I think there needs to be a balance between getting justice for wrongdoings through the justice system and not forcing all of the fans and other people involved with this to have to lose out because of one person. I think cancel culture is very problematic when it impacts more than just the person being accused of wrongdoing.
I really appreciate the way you worded the video! I see a lot of people on social media calling Neil a coward for backing up with the show, but I don't think they understand the extent of his relationship with Terry. I'm glad he's doing the right thing here and I hope everything turns out well for the show!❤
@@Sendarya I’m gonna use this opportunity to say my peace. I appreciate your GO content a lot and found your thematic deep dives super interesting and illuminating, which is why I subscribed. I also think the idea to bring the fandom news in an 'unbiased' way is meant well, but in cases such as these it has the unfortunate effect of treating NG and the allegations with supposed neutrality. But neutrality isn’t really possible because by giving NG the benefit of the doubt you automatically ascribe the same doubt to the victim’s accounts. I see no reason to doubt their stories. And statistically SA/rape accusations are overwhelmingly likely to be true. (Personally I’d amp up the chances of them being true even more if the man in question is rich, white, powerful, influential, respected and revered. Nobody has to gain anything from coming up against THAT.) We also all know that people in power abuse said power all the time. With all that said, I’m convinced you don’t mean any harm. But I do think trying to be neutral towards someone credibility accused of rape/SA, is false-balancing and will ateotd benefit the perpetrator to the detriment of victims speaking out. Seeing the video title and thumbnail and then the actual part where you speculate why NG made his offer etc. even come off as positive towards him. At least they did to me. If you believe his victims, then it’s actually quite galling to think he’s still in the position to make any offers in the first place. I’d prefer him far far away from GO and the cast and crew. I also don’t think it’s relevant why he made the offer. I don’t know if that’s what you meant by saying people look for negativity in an already difficult situation, but you might better understand where they’re coming from now. Anyway, I’ve found the little corner of fandom you’ve created here is unfortunately not a place I can be at ease anymore. I’ll have to tread carefully in GO fandom spaces in general, which saddens me and shows how long the way to go still is, but well. I don’t wish you ill or anything, just needed to say all this, whether you’ll even see it or not. In any case, I’ll be out of your hair from now on, gotta take care of myself.
My speculation is: the fact that officially gaiman is no more the show runner, doesn't mean he will not partecipate as an external consultant, someone definetely not as prominent for the general media. And I WISH amazon understand that cancel a show at the very last season is quite more disruptive for their reputation than keeping it
Thank you, Sendarya, for keeping us posted and sharing your considered thoughts regarding these developments. They are like a nice, warm cup of tea I'm going to sit and look at. 😍😇😎💜
If Gaiman steps back as show runner, I would prefer if they don't bring anyone new and someone who's been with the Good Omens show from the beginning replaces him. We don't need someone who would try to make it his or her owns show and attempt to diminish Pratchett's and Gaiman's creative influence. People who have already worked on GO are familiar with the show in a way that a newcomer could never be.
A bit relieved, but like you still on edge. I hope we will get the truth about NG's relevant past; I hate that he has been totally silent on the issue. But very selfishly, my priority is Azi and Crowley's fate. Thank you for this, Sendarya ❤❤❤
If Gaiman steps back, I wish Douglas Mackinnon might be brought back in some role, as someone who lived and breathed the story and show. I know it's extremely unlikely, given how he cut ties with the show, but a girl can dream, right?
I was hoping this would happen and hopefully it will stop it from being cancelled. At the same time I’m worried for the final result with the change in him not being a showrunner/ producer but I’m sure it will still turn out amazing with the rest of the cast and crew working on it.
Thank you so much for making this video. I feel it's an island in the middle of all this tempest. We just need to wait and trust. We're going to be okay 🧡
If not Cat, Jeremy Dyson could be an interesting )ead show runner - he is the non acting 4th writer of the league of gentlemen team (alongside reece shearsmith who played Shakespeare and Furfur, and Mark gatiss and Steve Pemberton who played the two male nazis in s1e3 and s2e4 ). Dyson wrote the minisode of the hitchhiker episode with the nazi zombies
Given that the majority if not the entirety of the show has already been written I find that Gaiman leaving shouldn't really have a huge impact on what comes after as it moves into production. Personally, I am a little concerned for him stepping back not because I'm a fan of him but because I believe in the vision for Good Omens he shared with Terry Pratchett. Whoever comes and steps into his place will need to share that vision and love for the characters more than trying to make a name for themselves. That being said I don't think Season 3 needs to be overly complicated anyway. We know from the end of Season 2 that there's going to be some conflict that inevitably ends up being resolved and hopefully with Aziraphale and Crowley being together. Really, so long as that simple plot comes to fruition I think a lot of fans will be accepting and happy with the ending.
I have hope that Good Omens won’t be canceled. The show gave Amazon a ton of money. It’s so loved and Good Omens was a HUGE project. I feel like it won’t just be abandoned. And the fact that Amazon paused production means that they don’t want it canceled. I feel like if Neil Gaiman was fired from his job, like said, someone could take his place. There were so many people working on Good Omens, it’s hard to say. The show was made like said, for Terry. And it wasn’t 100% Neil Gaiman idea. Again, I have hope that Good Omens won’t be canceled. Don’t worry guys, I can’t promise but there is high hope that everything will be fine.
"Executive Producer" is the one position on production that has no specific meaning, per the Academy of motion pictures. An exec producer may take an active daily role with significant creative input, or do as little as having merely glanced at a rough draft of a script and given it a thumbs up (looking at you, Spielberg).
@@Sendarya ojalá, y gracias, acá en Argentina esperamos noticias con mucha ansiedad. Ayer escuchamos en la radio que se suspendía la serie casi lloro. Pero después vi tu post y tuve esperanzas. Abrazos 🤗
Very good news. Everything looks to be working out. I just hope that whatever is right happens with regards to Neil, I'm not super informed with the goings on. But I can't ignore the victims.
I've listened to the allegations, and I don't think any legal action is likely. That's often how SA cases go, there's rarely enough evidence to do anything. What's happening to him right now is likely going to be the worst he suffers, and the podcast(s) are likely to be the best voice the women can expect at this point. Which is sad as those podcasts were atrocious, and did these women few favors.
I appreciate how much work you do to gather all this information. Then I don’t have to sift through all the platforms that might provide it. I am so relieved that Neil has the grace to offer to step aside. This certainly doesn’t redeem him and at present they are still allegations but he’s still willing to do it. I would hope that this demonstrates his respect for Terry and the show and the actors that bring it to life. It means so much to so many. GO has a life of its own and I hope its ebullience continues to flow.
I really want him to stay on as writer. If him stepping back means that season three happens on schedule then it does not bother me. While I have read the book I was introduced to the fandom through Season One. So for me Good Omens is more than Terry and Neil and I really want to see the conclusion.
Thank you so much for putting this breaking news so quickly together❣️ I think this will be overall good news and I’m sure Amazon will gladly accept Neil’s generous offer. I wouldn't overemphasize the term crisis. I think it's actually more of a discussion that they're having. And to your question who can take over: One name came often back as a showrunner this days: Douglas MacKinnon. And I won’t be surprised if they try to get him back.
I'm so happy, this is genuinely what i think as the best result, or a step in it. The real best result (assuming he's guilty,, which it seems to me but i don't know how certain it is, ii skimmed the article, but 'm not all too read up) would for him to be arrested, but we can't say that's going to happen. I hope that it'll all work out.
WOOAAAAH. I know this comment will be buried but, Sendarya, I hope you at least see it. While watching, during the scene of them in space I notices the clouds to Crowley's left form a snake, co plate with his serpent eyes! While sharing on reddit, someone else pointed out within the snake, the clouds form an apple, with the shooting star forming the stem. What a cool Easter egg!!
It’s probably for the best. If he wants to be helpful to the investigation, he needs to take time away from flying across the world. The unscheduled stay in NZ was terrible for his marriage, but certainly inspired interesting art. I’m surprised we aren’t hearing more from people who follow AP’s art, there’s no shortage of them.
I need the show and it need be written by Neil. I’m ok with him out of the other position even though I will prefer not. Without clear evidence or a trial the presumption of innocence should be the norm not cancellation culture
Gaiman's silence makes sense. SA is a legal matter, so he isn't able to publicly respond until he's gathered records and gone over everything in court. SA accusations always leave me uncertain how to feel, because on one hand there's a long history of SA victims being disregarded, but on the other hand studies have found we have a nasty habit of assuming "guilty until proven innocent." I suppose the best we can do is simply wait and see.
TH-cam censors things kind of randomly, it seems like. You can try and repost it if you want. I don't censor my comments unless someone is outright bigoted. I hope your attempt to re-post goes through.
Agreed, both things can be true at the same time. We can't ignore victims claims, but we can't just persecute everyone. Each case should be handled on an individual bases. Blanket statements server neither party.
Do you think that the cancellation of Quelin Sepulveda (Muriel) at ACME Comic Con was to avoid questions about Neil's situation and the Good Omens series? Everything is falling down like dominoes, I feel very sad :(
It's possible, but I can't say. The entire cast has sort of gone into hiding, and I expect they would like to avoid awkward questions in public. I know I would.
@@Sendarya I can definitely see the wisdom of keeping out of sight for a while. Media will be all over the most visible cast and crew! And the situation is NOT THEIR FAULT! :’(
Exactly. There has been no further explanation. If there is more to it, it's not something the public will ever know, not should, in all likelihood. Perhaps if scheduling moves a little he's be able to find room again!
I’m so relieved that finally we have signs of hope that our Ineffables will return, and this devoted fandom will get the Season 3 we all need and long for!!!🖤🩶🤍✨
It's possible, considering their ongoing activism for marginalized groups, that David and Michael would not want to tarnish the show, and their hard earned reputations, with Gaiman's mess. It must be incredibly difficult as the three seemed to have a friendship outside the show. Although I appreciate his offer to step aside, it sounds like he can't be removed completely, and I'm conflicted about whether I want him to be. It's so difficult in these situations. If he's innocent, he's paying a horrible price, but if he's guilty, can he ever be absolved? Can the show be given the love and attention that it deserves in the creation of season 3 without Gaiman? Or would his presence disturb everyone, and poison the creative process? Ultimately the decision lies with Amazon. They are financing the show, and could be the target of backlash if they support Gaiman, as well as have some liability for creating a hostile work environment if he is an active part of the creative team. They may already be getting some negative feedback from the activist community. It's all just so sad, and frustrating and disappointing.
It’s a shame he couldn’t just step back and leave all those women tf alone, then there would be no problem. He needs to leave production if anything is to be saved.
Fewer graveyards and horror elements would be nice. Hopefully the minisode writer (Finmore?) they used on S2 will be responsible for much of the script.
I am told that Jeremy Dyson wrote that Minisode "Nazi Zombie Flesh Eaters". I'm not 100% on that, but it does seem all of the people listed as showrunners wrote/directed or were responsible for one minisode each.
I would like to think about person is innocent until proven guilty. I appreciate that he has offered to step back if it makes sure the show gets done. While I don't like saying the women were lying, but until.we've heard more, for all we know this could be another Johnny Depp situation, or even a matter of perspective or perception. I want Season 3 ans I want it to be as true to Pratchett and Gaiman's original story as possible.
My take of the situation is the following: - The scripts for S3 are finished and NG's been paid for that. He's no longer needed. - The crew (probably led by Terry Pratchett's estate and DT) have been pushing to kick NG out behind the scenes. - A negotiation between Amazon and NG has been taking place to force NG out. NG was resisting. - The negotiation got stuck because NG refused to go. - Amazon stopped production and leaked the news to pressure on NG to accept their proposal and to test the fandom waters - Most fandom has reacted saying we're not only ok with NG being kicked out but we even welcome it - NG has accepted he needs to go and his PR has leaked the second piece of news to make it look like it is NG the one offering to step down to protect the production (we don't know the economic compensation he is asking for). -Now Amazon just needs to negotiate the price for him to leave (and that will not be leaked) - if Amazon and NG reach an agreement, NG will be kicked out for good and we will have S3. In order for that to happen, Fandom's pressure is essential.
I wouldn't want him to step back from the project completely. I'm one that can separate the person from the creative side. His creative side is genius, and I'd still love to have that genius in S3.
Alleged victims. I refuse to vilify a man based on allegations that have not gone to trial and found said man guilty. He is innocent UNTIL proven guilty. Not the other way around.
He is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Last time I checked this is not a court of law. (And this is ignoring the fact that courts get things wrong all the time. Innocent people get declared guilty, guilty people get declared innocent. The justice system isn't infallible)
@@brewster_4 Even if the court can get things wrong at the time, it would be even more wrong to condemn a person based on the view of a few people and social media shitstorms. That would be social persecution, the same thing they did with witches back in the time, but I guess a lot of people want that back…-.-
@@louvarts You're actually equating sexual abuse survivors risking vituperation and being called liars (like you're doing right now) with someone calling someone else a witch? This is exactly why women don't come forward and powerful men get away with abuse.
@@letolethe3344 Women, men, non-binary folks, everybody can be a victim. Why do you discriminate? I never called anyone a liar, and we never should stay quiet and not come forward. There are so many better ways to get awareness than to go to a pod cast. I can send you some information if you want to know the process better, before jumping to conclusions.
1) "Anyone can be a victim." I never said they couldn't. However, historically, women and nonbinary people have been much more often abused, terrorized, stomped on, attacked, mutilated, and threatened into silence than men. 2) "And I never said we should stay quiet." Why are you defending yourself against words I never put in your mouth? I know you never "said" anyone should stay quiet (not sure what you mean by "we"), I said your ACTION in equating these women accusing a powerful man of sexual abuse with teenaged girls accusing people of being witches is the kind of degrading, shaming attitude that keeps women silent. Gaiman has denied committing crimes, but in the process he has not denied having sexual relationships with women over whom he has power such as a nanny 20 years younger than himself, whom he took to bed within hours of meeting, and a tenant with whom he exchanged sex for rent.
So tired of social media crucifixion. Why is it so easy to destroy people? Are we expected to burn his books now or destroy our Kindles? It's so sad that there are people who feel the need to take things away from those that love them.
@@letolethe3344 What? You didn't know that @StubbyandShifu's enjoyment of Good Omens is more important than victims of sexual assault stepping forward and telling their stories?

@@katiePetsy I don't see "everyone" accepting allegations as fact. I see some people noticing that while Gaiman has denied committing crimes, he has emphatically not denied pursuing sexual relationships with women over whom he had considerable power who are in vulnerable positions, such as bedding a nanny 20 years younger than him within hours of meeting her, and pressuring a tenant of his to exchange sex for rent. It's certainly true these women could be lying. But as you can see in the reaction these accusers have gotten, the risk in coming forward (risks of being immediately doubted and denigrated and even attacked both online and in real life) generally outweigh any positives. Some of the accusers have voided contracts whereby they received money for their silence, so they'll likely suffer financially. The word of ordinary women is generally doubted while the word of a famous, popular man is generally accepted, as you can see from this thread. The actions he's accused of are generally not crimes, so they will most likely never go "to trial." Actions don't have to be against the law to be immoral, unethical, callous, cruel, or wrong. And people are free to draw conclusions from the evidence available. Since Gaiman has chose to remain silent--which is absolutely his right and, yes, doesn't guarantee he's culpable--we have to judge the best we can from what is currently in the public domain.
If you search TH-cam alone (let alone AO3, Reddit, Tumblr, and most other social media) for "season 2 Good Omens" you'll find tens of thousands (if not more) posts, videos, memes, essays, discussions, compilations, cosplays, animations, reviews, visual artworks, fan stories, and other media that will answer your question. Amazon probably wouldn't have renewed it for a third season if you were the only person who liked s2.

Some people simply seem to get pleasure out of being negative. But no, most fans and casual fans enjoyed season 2. The haters are just very loud, by nature.
Not saying anyone SHOULD feel that way....but am I supposed to be ok with a potentially toxic person being part of the process? I am generally asking! Because I do not really know where I stand right now. Should I "cancel" a project because of a person I cannot condone, but there are so many more people involved in it!

Everybody needs their job right now loosing a project like this it’s terrible news for the rest of the people
@@kay-jay1581Expecially the fennec fox. Just joking 😂
Well said. ❤️
I'm glad he's doing the right thing here and I hope everything turns out well for the show!❤
I'm sad that some would look for the negative in a situation already so plagued with difficulty. I'm always looking for a silver lining! ❤️
Nobody has to gain anything from coming up against THAT.)
We also all know that people in power abuse said power all the time.
We love that you share the news with us. ❤
My speculation is: the fact that officially gaiman is no more the show runner, doesn't mean he will not partecipate as an external consultant, someone definetely not as prominent for the general media. And I WISH amazon understand that cancel a show at the very last season is quite more disruptive for their reputation than keeping it
Yes! I think canceling season 3 at this point would be their rep serious harm.

Agreed. It should remain in the hands of someone who understands that ultimately, this show is being made to honor Terry and his ideas for the sequel.
A bit relieved, but like you still on edge.
I hope we will get the truth about NG's relevant past; I hate that he has been totally silent on the issue. But very selfishly, my priority is Azi and Crowley's fate. Thank you for this, Sendarya ❤❤❤
Fans will march to Amazon and kick off if they cancel this show after such a long wait!!!
Thank you Sendarya for keeping us all updated.
Cautiously optimistic...I personally would love Douglas McKinnon to come back as showrunner, perhaps...
If Gaiman steps back, I wish Douglas Mackinnon might be brought back in some role, as someone who lived and breathed the story and show.
I know it's extremely unlikely, given how he cut ties with the show, but a girl can dream, right?
Indeed, we can dream!
Thank heavens (and Heck) for this!
Thanks for the sane and reliable reporting
I was hoping this would happen and hopefully it will stop it from being cancelled. At the same time I’m worried for the final result with the change in him not being a showrunner/ producer but I’m sure it will still turn out amazing with the rest of the cast and crew working on it.
This is Azirafell, I feel relived. I am happy they are going for the best adaptation for season 3 for Terry.

Thank you so much for making this video. I feel it's an island in the middle of all this tempest. We just need to wait and trust. We're going to be okay 🧡

Fingers crossed, the series will continue
If not Cat, Jeremy Dyson could be an interesting )ead show runner - he is the non acting 4th writer of the league of gentlemen team (alongside reece shearsmith who played Shakespeare and Furfur, and Mark gatiss and Steve Pemberton who played the two male nazis in s1e3 and s2e4 ). Dyson wrote the minisode of the hitchhiker episode with the nazi zombies
Oop, that's right, he is!! That would be a good choice.
Well said, exactly.
I wish they’d get John finnemore back to write s3

Thank you, as usual
I really want him to stay on as writer. If him stepping back means that season three happens on schedule then it does not bother me. While I have read the book I was introduced to the fandom through Season One. So for me Good Omens is more than Terry and Neil and I really want to see the conclusion.
i NEED season 3 😔
Yes! Hopefully! 🤞🤞🤞
Interesting idea. I hadn't even considered that Douglas might return. ❤️
Depens on whether Douglas is available right now. If he's busy with another project, he won't be able to step in.

This seems like a good sign.
I was worried about cancellation.

Really? Wow, I'll have to go take a look!!
I had really bad feelings about it🤦
I wish that the guilty not pay with their talents.
Money or jail should be the punishment not the loss of good scripting and talent for all.
Thank you for your measured explanation. ❤ Question: do we know why MacKinnon left?
The one interview I’ve seen that addressed this (at a US comic con, IIRC) suggested that Douglas was just very busy with other projects.

Yeah, that sums it up pretty well!!

It’s a shame he couldn’t just step back and leave all those women tf alone, then there would be no problem. He needs to leave production if anything is to be saved.
What is the House of Owls you speak of?? I think it's just something I've overlooked.
It's the name of the minisode concerning Job and God's bet with Satan. It's called a Companion to Owls, and is part of episode 2
I am glad Neil Gaiman stepped aside. Not sure tho whether he wasnt forced. Either way, its good.
Pretty sure he was forced, insofar as it was either he step back, or the show gets canceled.
@@Sendarya yeah, I found that one to be pretty forgettable. "A companion to owls" was by far the best of them.
Amber Herd has done more damage to women who have been assaulted than any other woman alive today.
Every case should be taken on it's own merits.
My take of the situation is the following:
- The scripts for S3 are finished and NG's been paid for that.
- Amazon stopped production and leaked the news to pressure on NG to accept their proposal and to test the fandom waters
- Most fandom has reacted saying we're not only ok with NG being kicked out but we even welcome it
- NG has accepted he needs to go and his PR has leaked the second piece of news to make it look like it is NG the one offering to step down to protect the production (we don't know the economic compensation he is asking for).
-Now Amazon just needs to negotiate the price for him to leave (and that will not be leaked)
- if Amazon and NG reach an agreement, NG will be kicked out for good and we will have S3. In order for that to happen, Fandom's pressure is essential.
Ha, that's a great take, and very likely. Well put together estimated timeline of events!
I wouldn't want him to step back from the project completely. I'm one that can separate the person from the creative side. His creative side is genius, and I'd still love to have that genius in S3.
u can separate it but be so fr that its not applicable when someone is a predator
@@RK-mh5ym Not nice! He’s not charged or convicted.
A potential predator should not be put in a position of power that they can then abuse.
BUT there are right and wrong approaches and there are also people using the compassion of others to get not justice but smth else and these are the ones to make us less believable.
He wasn't convicted was he? why should he be replaced? what happened to presumption of innocence until proven guilty?
He has not been charged with anything
Noooo Neil don’t leave!!

Who are you referring to? Are you implying that sexual abuse survivors are telling their stories "to take things away" from Gaiman's fans?
@@letolethe3344 What? You didn't know that @StubbyandShifu's enjoyment of Good Omens is more important than victims of sexual assault stepping forward and telling their stories?
I think what they mean is that nothing has gone to trial. Allegations are just accepted as fact by social media and everyone is quick to get angry
You don't have to do anything you didn't want to. Enjoy the books and TV adaptations to your heart's content, and try not to spiral into doom that only a fringe minority would even voice. We don't want you to give up the things you love! ❤️
Am I the only person who enjoyed Season 2?
If you search TH-cam alone (let alone AO3, Reddit, Tumblr, and most other social media) for "season 2 Good Omens" you'll find tens of thousands (if not more) posts, videos, memes, essays, discussions, compilations, cosplays, animations, reviews, visual artworks, fan stories, and other media that will answer your question.
