  • Hi everyone,
    Morston Quay #Boats #geese #trip
Today I’m in North Norfolk, at Morston Quay.
One of my favourite places, as you can simply walk over the salt marshes and see all sorts of things. Mainly it’s the seal trip boats that go out to Blakeney Point. Blakeney Point is home to England's largest Grey Seal colony and many summer breeding birds. You can’t walk there, you need to be taken via boat. Next time I go, I’ll do the trip and film it.
There are lots of different wildfowl on the Salt Marshes. I especially like the Brent Geese. To me, they sound like dogs barking. According to the RSPB they fly here from Siberia in Russia.
Geese navigate based on experience, using landmarks including rivers, coastlines and mountain ranges. They may also use celestial cues such as the sun and stars. Geese have a physical compass in their head that allows them to tell north and south by detecting the Earth's magnetic field.

To make videos, takes a lot of time (endless hours). Waiting and watching for things to film to show you. Then the video needs to be edited.
I know my videos are not professional and they never will be. I simply film what I see in front of me.
Therefore, if you do not like the music OR do not like the way I speak OR do not like how I regularly film from Ludham Bridge….. (or any of the other things, some people like to comment about ), simply move on to another channel that provides you with the things you do like.
People who write disrespectful comments about others out on the water and other rude comments will always be blocked.
    (Reported to TH-cam too).
TH-cam encourages creators to report such comments and frequently reminds us to do so.
    Thank you .

North Norfolk is great for bird watching , as it’s one of the first places , the birds land after swimming across the sea.

Hi Lisa I really enjoyed this video, it was nice to see the Norfolk coast, I have been told by people that the Norfolk coast is really beautiful, we very nearly went to Cromer once, but one of our party wasn't too well so we didn't go, of course we went to Great Yarmouth, I have got film of my sister and I on Yarmouth beach watching a punch and judy show, when we were young my dad was a big cine film fan, and he had an 8 mm cinema camera, so most of our childhood is on film, so when my dad died we had all the film transferred to dvd, it's great to have footage of the Broads in the sixties and seventies, and everything else we got up to, but I get a bit emotional when I watch it because my grandparents and mum and dad are on there too, I really enjoyed this Lisa thanks 🌞🌞🖐👍

I spotted 2 Oystercatchers the other day on one of our fishing ponds 30 miles from the sea but only 1mile from the River Trent. Didn't expect to see them there. Love the vid.

Nice bit of mud, it's so sculptural, bet it smelt great, am I weird or do others like the odour of an estuarine inlet? Most of the boats looked well kept & colourful & lovely footage of the feeding bird life. Never been here but, will certainly try to find it if I'm out that way.

Just the smell of sea air and salt water. There are several places along the North Norfolk coast all very similar to this. I like it because it’s just so different to anywhere around here.

I've done the seal trips from Morston key a couple of times. I've also sailed my dinghy from there which is something of a challenge due to the channel being so narrow.

Next time I go I plan to do the boat trip.
Sailing from there must be wonderful. So much wildlife to see. ⛵️
