Wonderful to see these lovingly preserved Wherries still sailing the Broads more than 100 years after they were made. So many Wherries came to an ignominious end, may that never be the fate of these beauties.
Hi Lisa, what beautiful old boats the wherries are, so graceful and stately, I know all of them except norada, but what hard work on the boats that don't have power, you would be shattered by the time you got to your destination, I think I would probably walk off the end off the boat with that pole, and I would be left behind in the middle of the river clinging to the pole, my late husband would have said " I thought it had gone quiet !" always the joker, thanks Lisa😂😂👍
It would have been hard work I agree. Freezing in winter too. I’ve been on Albion and Hathor for a look around. Both very nice in different ways. I liked Albions living quarters despite their tiny size. Hathor of course, was sheer luxury by comparison.
They are magnificent, I totally agree with you. I’ve never seen 3 sailing together either. I’ve seen 3 moored on Wroxham Broad but that was different as there was no one on them.
Bit like buses, Lisa, wait for hours & three come at the same time, lol, thanks for getting them all on film in one go, lowering sails, mast to go under Ludham bridge, I wonder how often this happens.
Must try and get a look at Hathor if she is still at How Hill. I cannot get so enthusiastic about the other two which look like rich man's toys by comparison. (Engines as well!!)
Hi thanks for yet another excellent video what s great site to see 3 together,I used to see olive quite a few times when I lived in horning,,,they are really beautiful crafts,,, Unfortunately today I have been at work 😔but never mind hopefully off on the next bank holiday weekend Best wishes to you and I will look forward to your next video.
Would you believe I have literally just got home from a wonderful impromptu week on the Broads (we did look for you at Ludham Bridge but it was a very quiet week up there). We saw all 3 of these yesterday on the main river and what a sight they are !!!!!
Sorry I missed you . It has been very quiet, especially today. Different to last year. I’m glad you got to see the wherries before you went home. ⛵️⛵️⛵️
Just seen two of them going past the Ferry Inn at Horning. Shame they travel so close, some boats do not know what to do. Where are they heading and for how long?

They look magnificent. I hope they will be cared for for the future generations to enjoy them, just as we all do today. ⛵️⛵️
Great to see Hathor going through under pole power. Beautiful craft...
Absolutely stunning Wherry.

Thanks for showing us those beautiful Wherries as they are magnificent craft and I've never seen them together. Take care and all the best. Stevie

I imagine not very often as it was in the newspaper , plus there was a reporter in the crowd on the bridge ⛵️⛵️⛵️.

You’ll think the same about Hathor. It’s amazing to see what luxury was around 100 years ago.

Hi, we are at ludham bridge for the night

I don’t know where they are off to next. You would need to contact Wherry yacht charter for details. ⛵️⛵️
