I have lingual braces, and indeed it does affect the tongue. With regards of hygiene you are wrong. I floss and brush my braces 3 times a day, and they are very clean therefore my treatment will not be slowed down. My teeth are looking even whiter and my gums healthier only because I clean my mouth so much better then before. The only Downside with lingual braces is the cost, they are double in price in compare with traditional braces.
What are your suggestions in wearing a mouth piece if you practice Muay Thai kickboxing and Jiu Jitsu? Would I have to get a custom mouth piece or could I where my regular mouth piece?
@@vincentv9403 yes ! I got them on February 5th, I seriously love them. I was in pain only for a couple days & the lisp went away within a month. It’s seriously not as bad as some people make it out to be. My teeth are dramatically changing :)
Can you confirm lisping is gone after 2 weeks? I had mine done today and I am so irritated that the wire on the end hits my cheek/tongue poking when i swallow water or chew food. i wish they bent the wire down its literally poking...Is this normal? Also i feel like i cant speak properly anymore. Are you sure I will sound normal? I use my voice for work.. i feel so inadequate.

Only difference is--he has been in the industry twice longer than the previous doctor Is it worth to get the high cost treatment for same procedure Would appreciate your guidance Thank you
