I’m 15 years out of the apostolic Pentecostal church and 3 years into my spiritual recovery journey. I was out for my nature walk while listening to this and this video was very triggering and brought back a flood of memories and realizations from my life in the church. Yes the pastor was an ex gangster who came to Canada with $5 in his pocket and used to sleep in his car before growing the members. He would give God all the glory for his newfound blessings and new abundant life but really, with a following of over 1,000 church members all paying tithes and much more… yes I see now it was indeed a business. It’s hard to think of him as demonic because of his sweet and sincere face and attitude off the pulpit. But when I think of it, on the pulpit was a bunch of grandiose word salad and I don’t remember a word that was preached. I do remember emptying my pockets and being guilted into saving souls and bringing them to church. I lost myself in that church. I knew something was wrong but I stayed as a submissive wife only to have my husband (assistant youth pastor) leave me for another woman outside of the church. That was the catalyst for me leaving. I had nearly drowned, had lost myself to the point of barely being able to speak for myself. Now i have true deliverance. Thank you Miss Faye for your truth.
My God! This video is really something. The Bible came from the Dead Sea scrolls. The ancient writings of the Dead Sea scrolls was translated for all. The Bible is not the only ancient writings but it is the one I chose to believe. As a Christian woman, I do believe that we should not forsake the assembly. However every man in the pulpit is *not* from God!!!!! We have to use discernment to know the truth. God help us all.

Everything that you are saying is absolutely spot on! I was married to a malignant narcissist that was a "pastor" of a small church. He craved attention 24-7 and only cared about getting his needs met. He puts up a fake image in public, as if he is a "man of God", but he is nothing close to being a man of anyone. And yes, he has a history of trauma--an ex-con and ex coke addict. He plays the "good guy" role very well in public, but is nothing but a loud, demeaning, self-serving nut case behind the curtains. I got caught up in an odd love-bombing when I met him and was too naive to understand what was going on. He's now on his 6th wife and the church is his biggest enabler. He's not very educated, but he is very charismatic and has been promoted to a "bishop". A classic tale of a narcissist under a church's covering.

You have described most of these so-called pastors aka "pulpit pimps". Many are "ex cons", "ex drug users" and a hot mess! They put on a fake facade for the public, but serve pure HELL to whomever is at home. Always run a background check on a man. If he's been married more than once, proceed with extreme caution. Yes narcissists are in the pulpit but these people are on all platforms. So this does not surprise me because that spirit is real like any other. But what we have to realize is that we are only responsible for who we are as individuals. When we have the Lord in our hearts we will change because of Jesus who is the savior of the world and died for our sins so we can live for him. Look to the Lord not to people to make life better for you. Depend on God for everything you need. 🙏

The narcissist who abused me used to HATE church. He would sit in church on the rare occasion that he attended with me and literally scoff at the minister. I now see it as an unwillingness to accept religious leaders because he projected his own scamming traits onto the pastor.

Preach on this! Amazing!!!! My parents are pastors and have been doing fraud on my personal taxes and everything. They taught me to be kind and love one another but using street tactics on me. I had to file an investigation with IRS on them and I found out they were hacking my phone and network to spy on me. I’ve had enough of the mess. I can’t even file my own taxes because they overrode my pin that I created for myself.
As for my mom, she is the grimey First Lady and has taken my Dad through it.

So I was watching the rest of the video and you brought up about pastures and church. That's what made me attracted to your channel in the first place. When I was a little girl my mother was sent me to church 5 years old. So I was there all by myself vulnerable I don't remember very much of church just that the priest came up to me and wanted me to bend down to a statue mother Mary and pray to it and I wouldn't do it. When I looked at him he looked like the devil he was so angry at me. And of course I was frightened as I had no bun to protect me. My mother made me do a lot of things by myself. I learned to talk to God at that at the age of 3. But God saved me and I knew that I knew it then when a woman came up and interrupted the priest by asking him a question and when his face changed and looked at her and talked to her I escaped through the front door of the church. You know that church is still there but the project was torn down. So I ended up going the wrong way home maybe because I didn't want him to find me and look for me. He didn't but I went down the highway Way . Where's very busy and cars are coming off the highway. And a man came around numerous times to ask me if I wanted a ride. He had candy and he was not dressed in the car the car was looked like from the 50s because this was 1965. And of course I wouldn't but I was close enough to notice that this was not right. As he spun off to go round again around the block for the third time I didn't know what to do because I was trapped. There were no sidewalks. So I seen a spirit. He was a Native American and a wore a head dress. And what he said to me was cross the street and go through the houses a car can't go through there. So I crossed that busy street not getting hurt because he guided me across and I got home and I told my mother. She called the police and they found him. I remember how the policeman looked at my mother he must have said what is this little girl going to church all by herself. I'm not sure he said that but he had that look on his face and I'm a sensitive with psychic abilities and I'm usually right about stuff like that because I get validation. I believe that was God's way of getting me out of the church. And my mother sent me out by myself to do things without any supervision. I knew that as a 5-year-old. I just thought I shared that with you. I watch your videos often and you keep me company and I think they're pretty awesome. I'm 64 now and I've learned a lot especially understanding psychic abilities and things that I knew that I thought everybody else had the same gift but no People don't at least they don't use it. But I frowned a pound of the church ever since I've never liked it because I saw that priest though I wanted to be a nun when I was a teenager because I saw awful relationships and I didn't want to get married and bring children in this world. My mother exposed that too. Priest molesting alter boys and nuns getting pregnant by the priest and all kinds of drama like that just put a sickening feeling in my stomach like I'm 14 listening to this. So I've been on a spiritual path since I was a little girl only I didn't know it I understood a lot of it and knowing that going through Religion and understanding that the Bible was messed with and when you say it it's so validating. And when I hear other people know what I knew without anyone telling me that makes me smile and no I'm on the right path. And I've learned over the years just to trust what I know you don't need validation from anyone just trust that spirit.💎

A caution to be heeded. I would say don't ever elevate any man to God status. The pastor is not the Lord's mouthpiece, nor is your husband (if you're married and come from a denomination that is inclined this way). Read your own bible. Not just the verses the narc is spewing at you to get you in alignment. But get the whole context of the passage. Your pastor is JUST a man. God bless you ❤️

this triggered me because it is so true. I can so easily picture a certain preacher who expected rapt attention for 3 hours on a Sunday including from infants and grade school children. When I finally understood/felt that they did not care about me as a person, I cried painful tears there and left. I had been giving far more than I was receiving, and it felt so good to stop that.

Miss Faye, I don’t know what the deal was but years ago. I went to a church and the preacher past me in the church on the way to preach. Than he stopped in front of me and just looked at me at least five minutes. I never knew what that was all about. Now, I realize he was either looking at me sexuality or sizing me up for the kill.

Walking is the best. When my narcissistic sister-in-law was triggering me I wanted to put a hurt and on her. But I had to go for my walk first. When I came back I no longer wanted to put my hands-on her. She would have liked that anyway but to beat her up. So she can prove to my brother that I'm the bad one. So I heard that when you go out in the wind it blows all that negativity away. So I go outside sometimes and I will swing around and around when the wind is blowing my hair in the wind and everything just comes right off in me. That was 1994. No member of any church should tell all their business to any pastor or the first lady. Everyone should not know everything that goes on in your home or with you and your spouse. Also, I have heard that a pastor wanted his members to bring in their W2s to show that they are paying their tithes and offerings especially the 10% of tithes. I would never bring my taxes or W2s etc for a pastor or anybody to examine what I make on the job. It is nobody's business but mine. While I have pastors in my own family I respect them all however I know how far to let anyone go. I say respect each other.

Miss Faye I agree with 80% of what you said I left the Church along time ago because of the things you brought out about. I left for social as well as religious reasons. Started going to different Churches singing in a group called the souls for Christ and I started noticing something in just about everyone is that even though the Bible is against people of the same having relationship with each other I began to see it a lot also I some of the women looked more like they in the club and not the house of God. But have to realize where the Church of today came from and that's where the 20% of what you said came from. Some of these men and women really believe what they are teaching their congratulations and they are trying to live by what they think are Bible truths and I know they're not all narcissist a lot of them really are in it to severe God even though they aren't teaching the right thing.
