Narcissism within a church will ensure that the mission of the church is no longer gospel-focused, rather focused on the narcissist. They are like wolves among the sheep.
Churches are FULL of them! So much freedom for them there…. ‘Forgive 7x70’ - ‘don’t uncover your brothers sin’ - ‘unconditional love’ - ‘turn the other cheek’ - ‘treat others better than yourself’ - ‘wives submit to your husbands’ - ‘Love your wife like Christ loves the church’ -
‘God hates divorce’ …..on and on and on.

I experienced a narcissistic pastor (baptist). He built a massive church with a school that the members didn't agree on. He was always asking for more money. The stage was built with a floor that would echo when he stomped his feet to get his point across. His wife left him and had written a note to the higher members about why. She was called crazy, unfaithful, etc. The truth came out. The pastor was cheating on his wife with his secretary. He even threatened to kill her because she was"possessed."He was taking money from the church. I never really went back to that church..or any church.
Amen, so many narcissistic people are in the church, parading around as Christians fooling so many weak, and venerable people. I noticed it's pretty big going on in the pulpit, and in the choir at a lot of these ritzy local churches. Not the one's with just a few members. People shouldn't be so easily drawn in, and won over these days by all of the wonderful theatrics, and shenanigans you encounter in these local churches and worship assemblies.
Well, the main thing overlooked here in the video is what the Bible says about being "born again." Most Christian denominations never talk about it. In John 3:3, New International Version says, "Jesus replied, Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” Learn about this, folks. And this is primarily where Miss Faye misses the boat like so many others, although she really means well. But meaning well is not enough to be saved from the "Prince of Darkness." The major Christian organizations don't even believe he exists.
So glad I found you! I just got into it with my mother’s husband mother and she’s the definition of a narcissist…I sure did tell her about herself lol I’m not afraid of a narcissist. The funny thing is she sends me a long paragraph text about what I did never took any responsibility and guess what she said at the end… “ I been serving the lord Jesus Christ for 45 years and my work for the lord shows” (this had nothing to do with the convo) I tell you I laughed….. she loves church lol where there are others just like her and enabling that evil spirit. She don’t even see it

I’m only a few seconds in and you have told zero lies. I have never been around more narcs than when stepping into a church. If anyone is wondering why people are leaving churches in droves, it’s the narcs for me.
Wow--I saw it myself over the years but I didn’t know what it was--but I surely learned when I married a pastor who was a covert narcissist. I saw the 🚩🚩🚩 and I ignored them . That’s on ME. I did love him-but the narcissism was revealed and confirmed for me. After 17 years and an assault, I LEFT. And the full-fledged narcissism surely came out as he tried to destroy me.
People are waking up to the fables and fairy tales in the Bible and taught in Sunday school. Lots 9f violence, misogyny, the subjugation of women. The lies and the cons of organized religion. Soirituality has been around in various cultures for thousands of years. The information about spirituality and esoteric wisdom is on the net, book stores, and studied informed practitioners of spirituality. People are learning, and I am so thankful for a larger population of people.

Church is my narc neighbour's go-to place because she has lost me forever. She is a self-professed Christian, although a narc. And she believes she is holier than thou! What bothers me is how poor people are brow-beaten into giving up their last pennies for the collection plate in church. In one situation, the guy in charge was regularly giving this money to a woman in the church for her expenses, who was a single mother and that he was pursuing. She knew that once she had sex with him, it would be over and so she carried on playing him and everyone thought they were courting.

Thank you Miss Faye for sharing your thoughts. I agree whole heartedly that as individuals we have access to the Universe. A third party or entity isn’t necessary for us to live our best lives. It took me over twenty years to come to that reality. While the circumstance that caused me to reach that conclusion was painful, it was definitely liberating.

This is sad, but (mostly) true! I know, from observation of a narcissist I know, many other encounters with this subject matter over several decades, and studying it, that what you are saying is absolutely true in almost every respect. And I have seen the most narcissistic abuses by two-faced narcissistic church members as well as those in leadership positions. The church is lost, big time! There are, however, precious few "Word Churches" out there that get it right, according to the rightly divided divine Word of God. But finding one is like trying to find a needle in a haystack. Miss Faye, finally you have struck at the heart of their insanity of this world system. Folks, most of all, watch out for destructive religious cults in our midst - people who approach you out of the blue and invite you to a bible studies class. Run like the dickens as fast as you can away from them and never go back. They’ll be charming love bombers just like narcissistic people. They are poised to exploit your thirst for God’s wisdom and protection but will brainwash you so in six months or less you won’t even know who you are anymore, seriously, and your friends and relatives may never be able to find you ever again. And I do not know of any laws to protect us from such predators. So, let's read a lot and be knowledgeable and wise so we can protect ourselves. In the meantime, live a wholesome life and stay healthy in everyway possible.

I recently met this guy I believe had narcissistic personality he was a shister a con man with women ect I asked him if he was going to mass church Christmas? He said no to go with me claimed he had no family ect ....come to find out he is a christian yeah right he went to 3 three different services on Christmas Day putting on a show trying to meet lonley wealthy widows he told me and I thought how gross to myself so moral of the story he was a deviant immoral person posing as a man of God made me look at things in a different light I myself am Catholic love God go to one service and Ive never been on the prowl for a date or scam at my place of worship Thank you for great content

Any place that asks for income when they have no right, I don't give it. My Vet has a form that asks for your personal annual income, the dating site also wants your income amount. Even my friend's RV rental spot wants to know his income so they know why hes getting an electricity discount. It none of their business because that's between Edison and him, not the property management office. Churches want your yearly income to get that yearly 10% commitment. The churches have basically made their deal with the government by signing the 501C3 form that states they don't have to pay taxes and have a limited amount of say in schools.
Everyone wants to get a piece of your personal dealings and I say.....GO AWAY and STAY OUT of my life, as I stay out of yours. And, when they look down on me, I am thinking....."It's none of my business what you think of me". I'm living MY life how I WANT and see it and you do the SAME.

I have only seen that in one church I visited.
I had a husband and wife in leadership stall and tag team me asking when I will send over my tithes? I was traumatized. I had given a lot of money one year and it was almost $40k and I didn't even know who these people were. They never even asked to meet me in person. This was a large prosperity church and I stopped going there
