Looking at how much shit Queen Elizabeth had gone through when she was young and how she had endured, I understand her reaction when someone wanna give her a fight.

Kokorocodon That is kinda ironic since you Japanese go on boasting about your glorious Yamato yet Britian gave you the technology for that to exist and the British also helped develop the aircraft carrier
In my first CIV game ever I played on huge earth on marathon speed. I ended up starting in Burma as England . Anyway, as I continued I found that the Philippines and the other islands of south east Asia had no civs on them, just ruins and barbs. I sent out a unit of spearmen with ship support to provide arty. Those spear men came back as great war infantry. Needless to say everything apart from cities was ganked during the game's classical and medieval era. There was something glorious about using this music as the Tommies slayed knight after knight. Oh Civ.
*Captain Bernard T. Wilmington of the nuclear submarine HMS 'King George VI' opening the safe with the nuclear missile keys, and the Prime Minister's Doomsday Letter* "For the King and Country, after all."
Between this and the Russian war music, I'm not sure which one makes me want to crush my enemies more. This one makes me strategize and go more into focus and then be all subtle about my tactics. The Russian one makes me go brute force and destroy any and all resistance.
My favorite song from Civilization 5 :) I got my first domination victory using my ships of the line to crush my opponents. :D And i also like to listen to it when i study. I think it is a really good song to study with.

Ewan Beattie That pretty much sums it up... There were also thoughts about an extended Schlieffen Plan among German High command which meant to also invade the Netherlands and terminate the possibility for the Brits to use it as a base to "Backstab" the German army.

@Anglo Commando Talk about overkill. I think HMS Conqueror sinking the Veinticinco de Mayo aircraft carrier would have been an additional shock for the Argies.
The recorder/English flute was just an immature instrument for elementary school music classes before I listened to this. Now it heralds the arrival of an entire ship-of-the-line armada intent on bullying me into being interested in Lizzy's trade agreement.
Took me awhile to find this track. The flute and the strings bouncing together captivated me and at the time, I was playing as the Mongols when this track played. I thought it was an obscure/unnamed Mongol war theme...until I found this track here. Then I remembered that I was warring with England at the time.
All the same Elizabeth to me. She'll come back as Elizabeth III and live forever. Her lifespans only increasing every time she comes back. Trust me bros...
In my game I was playing as England and luckily I spawned on a big island with only two city states. This allowed me to spend more on ships than land units. Russia founded a city at the south of the island and this was a threat and it was in the renaissance era. I used 7 out of 16 Ship of the Lines to lay waste on her huge embarked invasion force. I took over the city she founded. Ship of the lines are really awesome. She gave up and asked for peace because I also started to bombard her land units on the coast. Being on an island alone can give advantages.
On my Lizzie playthrough, I didn't go full British Empire until I had XCOM squads. Imagine this music with paratrooping supersoldiers landing outside every enemy city, as Guided Missiles rain down and Battleship blockades cordon off half the planet. Just you wait, one day the Union Flag will fly over the world again! :P
Having all the power in the world and sending a cluster-fuck of power to deal with a small threat while we torture our enemies by laying siege down on their trade routes so they have no food or supplies. The true British way!
The funniest part was the Zulu being the only nation that actualyl gave me trouble, until I turned all 12 of my core cities to making an XCOM squad a turn, that is.
Hmmm, potentially through Civ4's domination victory, perhaps. - Conquest: Seeing as the world isnt' ruled over entirely by one country yet, nobody. - Domination: The British Empire got there first, but in modern times, China probably has this one. - Space Race: Probably the Soviet Union if you count the first man in space, America if you count first man on the moon. - Diplomatic: South Korea (if we're talking about right now), the UK if we're talking about who got a UN secretary-General first. - Cultural: At present, the United States, due to their vast influence on most of Western Society; if we're talking who got there first, most likely the Roman Empire. - Score: Now THAT one is tricky; take into account the current size, prosperity and advancement of each country, coupled with the wonders each nation has built and such, who would win at this present moment? I won't answer that, as there's probably enough fuel to accidentally make a flame war here already.
Hmmm, good point. China would be lliable to have Score right now, Britain would make a good country for domination, for the British Empire though, current UK is a hell-hole.
Ddraigtanto Ixeniejir That's an excellent argument. Cenk, that's true but you need more than language and comprehension to maintain cultural dominance.
2:53 never fails to give me goosebumps. Swear this tune makes me want to go out in a red coat and start planting the union jack in every corner of the globe

No

Not surprised to hear this after 15 turns of meeting her...
Haha, she knows better than to try that with me. The last time she declared war, I wiped her civ without a casualty. Never happened again.

Queen Elizabeth's face just rings out. "The hardest Trade Agreements require the strongest wills."
Don't you get it, people??? Elizabeth declares war on you all the time so you can listen to her epic war theme!
By the end of the song, all your coastal cities are captured
For some reason the british were called "masters of the sea", :P .
Eduardo González because we were ;3
They live in a fricking island, of course they were the masters of the sea!
Kokorocodon That is kinda ironic since you Japanese go on boasting about your glorious Yamato yet Britian gave you the technology for that to exist and the British also helped develop the aircraft carrier
@@firepower7017 sure sure.
hands down the best track in the civ 5 soundtrack
field of poppies for me
nope sulaiman is better for my opinion
In my first CIV game ever I played on huge earth on marathon speed. I ended up starting in Burma as England . Anyway, as I continued I found that the Philippines and the other islands of south east Asia had no civs on them, just ruins and barbs. I sent out a unit of spearmen with ship support to provide arty.
Those spear men came back as great war infantry. Needless to say everything apart from cities was ganked during the game's classical and medieval era.
There was something glorious about using this music as the Tommies slayed knight after knight. Oh Civ.
0:54 is just apocalyptic. I picture a Trafalgar-class submarine unloading a barrage of nuclear warheads.
*Captain Bernard T. Wilmington of the nuclear submarine HMS 'King George VI' opening the safe with the nuclear missile keys, and the Prime Minister's Doomsday Letter*

- "You day of judment will come"
War music start play
*I am scared!*
Between this and the Russian war music, I'm not sure which one makes me want to crush my enemies more. This one makes me strategize and go more into focus and then be all subtle about my tactics. The Russian one makes me go brute force and destroy any and all resistance.
I am not too impressed by this war theme. It's thematic and all, but it doesn't hav-- 1:28 OHHHHHHHHHH SHIT I REGRET EVERYTHING I JUST SAID
Which ones are you impressed by?
It makes Redcoats sound like a force of nature. I love it.
My favorite song from Civilization 5 :)
I got my first domination victory using my ships of the line to crush my opponents. :D
And i also like to listen to it when i study. I think it is a really good song to study with.
Argentina: I have taken the Falklands!
*5 seconds later.....*
Argentina: What is that in the distance?
*song plays*
capturing ships of the line with privateers while listening to this makes the plunder glorious
I'm terrified of her Ship of the Line. Caravels aren't enough to defeat her
That is why you sink them with submarines.
Or alternatively, fight with Frigates. AI is terrible at naval combat.
This is still one of the best tracks in this game
“All you had to do was accept the damn trade agreement, CJ!”
This comment is underrated.

1914: Germany and Russia declare war on each other. Britain like: Hm.
Germany declares war on France, Britain like: eh?
Germany invades Belgium. Britain like: awww heeel no. *this theme starts playing in Germany*
*German war theme starts playing in Britain*
Germany and Britain simultaneously: fuck.
Ewan Beattie That pretty much sums it up... There were also thoughts about an extended Schlieffen Plan among German High command which meant to also invade the Netherlands and terminate the possibility for the Brits to use it as a base to "Backstab" the German army.
Elizabeth: Would you be interested in a trade agreement with England?

Argentinians heard this in 1982.

@Anglo Commando Talk about overkill. I think HMS Conqueror sinking the Veinticinco de Mayo aircraft carrier would have been an additional shock for the Argies.
And what was the sound track when the nazis were bombing you into oblivion right before Russia defeated them?

Bismarck's War Theme, obviously.
The argentinians put a hell of a fight on Britain, the brits thought that would be easy, but they got several losses to an Latin American country.
The recorder/English flute was just an immature instrument for elementary school music classes before I listened to this. Now it heralds the arrival of an entire ship-of-the-line armada intent on bullying me into being interested in Lizzy's trade agreement.

way late, but thats a feature of the game that changes based on the cultural policies picked. This comes from the tradition tree.
Imperios Changed to Lady for female characters in game now.
Imperios Women can bear the title of "Lord."

From what I've heard from Civ's Soundtrack this is one of the most "powerful" war themes where it gives that real feeling that war means war :P
I never noticed the flute section has the same leitmotif as I Vow to Thee/Jupiter. What an amazing soundtrack
That’s because it’s based on the song.
You failed to make a trade agreement with England!
During the years of Victoria this song echoed 24 times a day; once a day in each time zone.
This one is the best war theme in Civilization V I think.
When you decide to give the Queen a Full Military Funeral and a Viking Burial.
I mean, technically, Queen Elizabeth is the Descendant of a viking named Rollo the Walker, soo yeah make sense
Took me awhile to find this track. The flute and the strings bouncing together captivated me and at the time, I was playing as the Mongols when this track played. I thought it was an obscure/unnamed Mongol war theme...until I found this track here. Then I remembered that I was warring with England at the time.

I love listening to this whilst my Ships of the Line bombard enemy cities during the Renaissance Era!
Saran Vadlamudi
What do you have against land units? The Longbowman is terrifying.
But I got spawned on a big island so I needed a small professional army and a large navy to defend the island. Same like what the UK did in the past.
Hear that? That is the harpsicord of doom and drums of despair!
Prepare for much wailing and gnashing of teeth...
England, Portugal, Indonesia and Spain have the most epic war themes in the game
Mongolia is also nice
The Bank of England secretly has influence in most affairs of the whole world, so maybe that will suffice for you.
Nah, there's just more satisfaction on everyone putting a Union Flag on their flags. :P
Jamie MacDonald
I'd rather an Egyptian emblem on all flags, thank you very much.
The British. They won Civilization IRL.
Ddraigtanto Ixeniejir I would say England would still have domination. China, however, would have the highest score in my opinion.
Ddraigtanto Ixeniejir >conquest
Alexander the Great anyone?
2:53 never fails to give me goosebumps. Swear this tune makes me want to go out in a red coat and start planting the union jack in every corner of the globe
We will never surrender

They do a fine job of doing it though when I take their capital.
Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
That's propably the most fitting description of this lady, because her armada of Ships of the line sure scorned my asshole when i declined a trade with her.
Imagine having to hear this theme for 113 years just because the English monarch wanted to have another throne to sit in.
Would you be interested in giving your coastal cities to England?
the high note is the sound of whistling tea kettle
Favorite song when bombarding the city with battleships
These war themes need to come back in Civ 7.
Wow. Only Civ can make the most badass hymn ever even more badass.
I absolutely adore this piece of music. It's a masterpiece
forgot how much of an absolute banger this was
when the tea shipment doesn't arrive on schedule.
England’s ship of the line is one of the scariest units in the early game
Memes aside - England is an awesome and fun civ to play as in Civ 5 - and has awesome music like this to go along with it - great game! Great music!
"Plays as China"
"Settles most of my cities on the cost"
"England declares to war with me"
I didn't want to play anymore I guess...
