His ability to control the crowd, or keep their attention is really interesting and I still find it so cool to this day lol. Somehow he manages to fill a stage that would normally be HUGE for other single performers! He has a live performance of New World on a massive stage that really proves this point - and another singing Aliens in a very small space where it almost feels claustrophobic with how much presence he has. Definitely a unique charisma we don't see very often these days with popular artists. (I mean, even Beyonce uses backup dancers - his super long concerts are just him and occasionally his band the whole time!) You guys are fun, I like your reactions to his performances. Love yr reaction! Hua has no fixed genre. He literally does everything and with each performance, he emits different personas. He can be a badass rocker in one, a childlike angel in another, a mad deranged in the next. On top of his musical and vocal abilities, his ability to go into 'character' for each performance is just unseen anywhere. He is a real gem
His own composition I Don't Care song was his answer to his haters, basically saying he don't follow the trend(s) & follow his own rules (check out the english subs). I think Hua doesn't have a genre in general but i like his rockstar genre. Vocally he doesn't follow the rules & often people told him it's not healthy but Hua said he doesn't care, if his form or style of singing will not make his career last long, at least he express his musics & messages. Basically Hua is a “good boy” and he just likes his own self a lot ^-^. He follows the rules but he also has his own opinions and guts to do so. He tried to sing as his “vocal” teacher in university taught them, but after like 6 months trying, he said it didn’t work for him, so he sings the way he prefers. He studied music in university and he uses what he learned to make music, but his creativity isn’t limited by them, that’s why he makes breakthroughs. Some people said he is weird, don’t follow the trends, etc, just like you said it, and he composed this song as response.

Thank you for returning to Hua Chenyu!! He calls himself a rock singer/musician. He grew up listening to1980s-90s rock and watched those bands perform. You can hear their influence in his music. (He composes many of the songs he sings, including "I Don't Care" and "Qi Tian," the rap/rock one you reacted to first.) Like the '80s rockstars, he doesn't just stand in one place and sing. He moves. He performs the song, sometimes acting out the story. He's had acting lessons, too. His stage presence is off the charts. I don't know if you noticed, but he told the audience what and when he wanted them to sing. He sang the line first (just "ooo ooo ooo" to the melody), then he said "Say!" (in English) the 1st & 3rd times and "Go!" (in English) the 2nd & 4th times. You talked every time he said it, so maybe you didn't hear him. Near the end, he screamed "Are you ready?" in English, but you were talking then, too.😆🤷🏻♀️ Maybe pause the video to talk? Anyway, thanks for the reaction. You look like you enjoy watching him! All his performances on Singer are worth watching. You can do it in order of episodes. He joined the competition on ep 4 ( Qi Tian) which you already reacted to. He came 2nd in 2018 but won Singer 2020. You can search Hua Chenyu english subs channel because his songs has deep meaning and address many issues
He has fans called Martians, ET’s, he has Mars concerts every year and did perform in The Bird’s Nest which holds 90,000 people each concert and you want to see crowd control. Also, Hua’s songs are not superficial, he will pick lyricists to write lyrics that specifically convey what he wants to get through. It is very important to read the lyrics, the sings tell a story and are usually his philosophy on life.
He is influenced by classical and rock music, HOWEVER he himself plays all kinds of music styles. Rock is my favorite, but he does ballads, rap, r&b mellow etc. Really endless combinations and options, he loves music and sometimes also learns music in foreign countries. He can play many instruments as well, he is a music genius. He loves to write new stuff and one of his goals with music is also to bring music in to a new modern age. Because a lot people nowadays say music has died and the 70-90’s were the best. I totally understand that as well because I like old music more, but Hua Hua made me listen to more modern music again. Thank you for returning to Hua Chenyu!! He calls himself a rock singer/musician. He grew up listening to1980s-90s rock and watched those bands perform. You can hear their influence in his music. (He composes many of the songs he sings, including "I Don't Care" and "Qi Tian," the rap/rock one you reacted to first.) Like the '80s rockstars, he doesn't just stand in one place and sing. He moves. He performs the song, sometimes acting out the story. He's had acting lessons, too. His stage presence is off the charts.
I don't know if you noticed, but he told the audience what and when he wanted them to sing. He sang the line first (just "ooo ooo ooo" to the melody), then he said "Say!" (in English) the 1st & 3rd times and "Go!" (in English) the 2nd & 4th times. You talked every time he said it, so maybe you didn't hear him. Near the end, he screamed "Are you ready?" in English, but you were talking then, too.😆🤷🏻♀️ Maybe pause the video to talk?

All his performances on Singer are worth watching. You can do it in order of episodes. He joined the competition on ep 4 ( Qi Tian) which you already reacted to. He came 2nd in 2018 but won Singer 2020. You can search Hua Chenyu english subs channel because his songs has deep meaning and address many issues
He has fans called Martians, ET’s, he has Mars concerts every year and did perform in The Bird’s Nest which holds 90,000 people each concert and you want to see crowd control.
Also, Hua’s songs are not superficial, he will pick lyricists to write lyrics that specifically convey what he wants to get through.
It is very important to read the lyrics, the sings tell a story and are usually his philosophy on life.
He is influenced by classical and rock music, HOWEVER he himself plays all kinds of music styles. Rock is my favorite, but he does ballads, rap, r&b mellow etc. Really endless combinations and options, he loves music and sometimes also learns music in foreign countries. He can play many instruments as well, he is a music genius.
He loves to write new stuff and one of his goals with music is also to bring music in to a new modern age. Because a lot people nowadays say music has died and the 70-90’s were the best. I totally understand that as well because I like old music more, but Hua Hua made me listen to more modern music again. He is really from a new age, A New World 😂😉 if you get the joke

Check out Bullfighter from Singer 2020. It’s the same show with Zhou Shen. He exploded after 2018. He is really good. He sells out stadiums with 150,000 people. A very interesting songwriting and singing style. Since you talked about manipulating volume and vocals, check out Ring the Doorbell during the same show by Zhou Shen. I am really impressed by Chinese singers.
