Love seeing you! 🤗 Concerning the colour dilemma maybe think back to the chair - did it have a background colour? I’m getting the feeling that your colour combo might benefit from a neutral contrast that lets them shine.
I'm with you a few years already as a viewer and I see a color change in your wardrobe - when I start watching your videos there are mostly dusty pinks in all shades and forms and some neutrals and now your knitting is very colorful in comparation. It's so inspiring! For me it's amazing and I love your latest projects because I see myself more in it as I love colorful clothing and I use color in my knitting and in my life on a daily basis.
Hi Stacey love your pressed flowers and the sweater colours are gorgeous ❤. I think with your shrug there’s too much of a good thing…All your favourite colours in together….and they are all lovely but maybe the mustard and green as larger areas of colour together are perhaps a bit too much…I agree with the other 2 comments about adding a neutral and perhaps making the stripes smaller if you want all your colours in the shrug together and have more of a neutral in there. Always love your podcasts xx
Hi Stacy! I think the color problem has to do with the intensity of each color being too similar. I think the eye needs to have a resting point between them. I agree with Katharina that a neutral between some of the color would help. Love that you are embracing your real love of color!
I'm in the same boat as you with the pressed flowers cardigan!! It ended up smaller than planned (only 2" of ease, also didn't swatch, and the fabric didn't grow during blocking like I expected). I got through an inch of the sleeve and ultimately decided to rip it all out. Your shoulder definitely drops better than mine, mine was at my shoulder bone! So painful to frog it, the first time I had done that. Knitting the ribbing again as I watch this and much happier 😊
My pressed flowers also ended up smaller than expected and I love it the way it ended up. I wear it open (didn’t even put buttons on it), and it’s absolutely perfect. I wear it with jeans, skirts, dresses, and always get so many compliments!
So interesting to hear you talk about "your colours" and how anything else doesn't feel quite right. I love the idea of working out my own favourite colours and trying to stick with those for my knitting. Your projects are all so gorgeous ❤
I love your pressed flowers cardigan. I got as far as you and tried blocking it. My Spincycle bled all over my light grey yarn and I've also been going through those stages. I'm turning it into a cat pillow for a cat bed. Yes, I'm crying haha! All the best, Kimberly
Hi Stacy! I love your pressed flowers cardigan. The colours are just so gorgeous. Do you happen to know how much of the contrast colour you used for the body? I have some yarn I want to use for the contrast and I think I might manage if I do plain sleeves but I'm not sure! I also wonder if the colours for the Friday shrug might "sing" more to you if they interacted with each other more? I'm thinking for example something like the Rumble Raglan by Lydia Morrow, in terms of colour management and "interaction".
Maybe you’ll love those colors in granny square form? I’ve been there, when you LOVE the colors, but they don’t knit up right and you feel underwhelmed :(
The center of the shrug appears to be only light colors, and I wonder if breaking them up with one of the brighter or darker colors from that palette would solve the issue.

Gorgeous Sweater! Looks wonderful on you, colors and all. You can't beat that yarn, so nice!!!

With the Friday shrug, I think it's the dark colors, maybe even just the balsamic, that somehow make(s) the colors not play well together.
Your projects are beautiful...even the shrug.

I wonder if a Polina making the color petals represent the L&K vintage chairs would be fun.

It has honestly been such a joy!
You definitely look great in that color!!

oh no!!!! I am so sorry! But wow what a beautiful cat pillow!
I think it's the fade. They just don't marl well together. I bet they would work in a colorwork or striped project.
