Wow I love what you've captured throughout the hike. It's beautiful!! I did mine on the 5th of August with my friend, I can kind of see our names on the summit registry haha.
Gorgeous video! Hoping to do this traverse this summer. If you don't mind me asking, what backpack are you using? I've been looking for a new one and those side pockets look so nice! And the nice spot for the axe.
Hey! It’s the moment x strohl camera backpack. I’d say it’s a little expensive if you’re just carrying camping stuff, the hyperlite backpacks might be better for your needs. If you’re carrying a small camera/drone with camping gear then it’s perfect. Just enough room for everything!
It’s a fun one, I’d hop on it soon as it might snow up there in a few weeks. I was going very slow this trip, so I was probably at over 14 hours of moving time in between the two days. If you’re packing light you could probably do it in way less!
Hey Kevin, thanks! I film on a Blackmagic Pocket 4K with a Leica 8-18mm lens. For audio I just use a Rode NTG on top of the camera. For the movement I used the 2 axis motion controller slider, IFootage Shark Nano.
Great job! I didn’t track my hike this time, I just loosely followed some AllTrails GPS files from the top of Weart. Its pretty straightforward route finding for most of it
Completed October 3rd 2022 … took 11hrs 20minutes … lots of class 5 and 4 and 3 … the scree is shifty I fell down 3x sliding down with the loose rocks … hard hike and summit … respect to you Brandon
Best hiking cinematography on TH-cam hands down -- this channel needs to blow up!
unreal dude. What you do is next level filming!
Pretty hard to keep my attention...But NEVER your videos Brandon. Please keep it up! Im a huge fan!
Hah! Thank you, though my own videos make me sleepy sometimes

Thanks Brandon for another wilderness adventure show
That ice at 9:05 used to never recede past about halfway into the smaller lake, now it recedes far enough that it's exposing the ground underneath.
It’s receded a ton in the last 10 years!
Awesome video as usual!

Nice
Try blanchard needle or edge peak next! Great shots
I’ve been eyeing edge peak for a while, might try to bag that and golden ears at the same time
nice one
Great cinematography! Was this all filmed using a 360 camera?
Nope, on a Blackmagic Pocket 4K! The movement was done on a 2 axis motion controlled slider, the IFootage Shark Slider Nano
How would you rate the scrambling on this one? Class three, four? Really great stuff, man. Love your videos.
Thanks! There's spots of class 4 but it's mostly class 3. Not too exposed for most sections as there's a big snowfield under a lot of the airy moves
oh my god i've been wanting to do this for awhile now. How long was your trip in total?

Nice hike! Great video! Awesome night scene! What equipment do you use?

I can’t even begin to ask how did you rig the slider and camera on the rock… How did you rig the slider and camera on the rock? 🙀

Any chance I can get the GPX file please? Hey I returned safely from Sky Pilot 2nd time.

hey there is the Armchair traverse between Mt Cook and Mt Weart OR just reaching Mt Weart only?
@@chirocafe The traverse goes up from the top of Mt Cook to the top of Mt Weart. You go down the normal route up to Weart after.
@@BCHiking so ascend Mt Cook them horizontal cross over to Mt Weart n then down the trail for complete loop
