Make sure to get some Metal Glo some other sword polish to clean up all the tarnish from the shipping oil! You’ll also need to polish and maintain all the meta on the handle and pommel, as I believe that is highly polished Zinq that will oxidize too. Also, unfortunately UC did not make this version Limited Edition, and instead each sword is just serialized. It really is the best version of the sword a collector can get that isn’t a 20-40 thousand handcrafted version by Weta!

I guess one can consider it “limited” in the sense that they’ll eventually stop making them, but since it’s not labeled “out of 1000” or whatever, they can technically make as many as people are willing to buy. Congratulations, it's beautiful, but a question, on the hilt, specifically on the guard, should the middle button be gold? And in several other videos and photos I see it in a dark or silver color, as if they had forgotten to put gold on it.
I believe its the new "museum" version, it is the silver color with previous editions being gold. This is supposed to be the most movie accurate and they made some updates.
The sword is dazzlingly beautiful. The next batch of Andurils will be delivered to me, Can I ask you a few questions? I'm going to wipe off the shipping oil on the sword with a cloth and then polish it once more with UC's metal glo. Next, I'm going to coat it with Renaissance wax. Is this correct? Also, is there shipping oil on the handle? Does this also require separate management?
The handle seemed fine. Maybe a little residue. Based on what I’ve read, those sound like some good steps to take and I like both of those products also
I'm wondering if you bought the Anduril scabbard from UC as well, and if it fits the Museum Collection version? Does it stay on without falling if the sword is pointed down?
Well the description of the scabbard does not mention this new version as a sword it will fit. I believe this sword is a different length than previous versions. Can always check with the vendor but I’m leaning it would not based on what I’m reading on the website.

As did Kit Rae who designed the sword. He also clarified it still has a welded on tang... Which kinda defeats the point of them telling people it's a functional 1060 high carbon steel blade. That's like, the full semi-auto of the sword world lol.
Aside from the mounting plaque stuff, here is the quote from the description that says the differences: “The surface polish is finer, the engraved blade runes are more accurately rendered and detailed, and the fuller grooves are the exact length of the movie version’s.” I don’t have the original but I know there are some other videos comparing the two.

I thought I had read the initial release was 600 but I could be wrong. I will definitely take those other tips you suggested as well!

High carbon steel requires oil to avoid corrosion and oxidation.
Would I just be ok with using the Metal Glo? as it says it keeps things safe from rusting.

MC Anduril has the same dimensions as the standard Anduril so it will definitely fit the scabbard.

Hello. Does this piece have a full tang? Or is it like the previous iteration which would likely snap at the handle if you swung it?
